Hi all,

Just got an EVGA Z170 Stinger motherboard. And on its specs it says it supports 3200+ MHz ram.

I was wondering, will this RAM work in the motherboard and how do I reach 3333MHz clock with it if so.

Kingston HyperX Predator DDR4 2x8GB 3333MHz

Thanks for any help!

What is the Full Model Number of your "Kingston HyperX Predator DDR4 2x8GB 3333MHz" Memory?

    Kingston HX433C15PBK2/8 4 8 3333MHz 15-18-18-43 1.35V 1-2  1.05
    &
    Kingston  HX433C15PBK2/8 4 8 3333MHz 15-18-18-43 1.35V 1-2 1.05
Note the Bios 1.05 is needed.

They also have two 3466MHz listed

I feel like that list is outdated. I don't think the Predator 2x8GB 3333MHz RAM was released when it was made. That lists 2x4 3333

It was updated after Bios 1.05 was released as shown now supporting 3466MHz
Also EVGA cannot update the list every time a new memory chip comes out from all the different companies that make them, no one can.

HyperX® Predator DDR4 memory has a fierce new heat spreader design in black aluminum for greater heat dissipation to optimize reliability. The heat spreader and PCB complement the look and design of the latest PC hardware, so you can dominate in HyperX style. Predator DDR4 delivers blazing fast speeds up to 3333MHz matched with low CL15–CL16 latencies, and its Intel XMP-ready profiles are optimized for Intel 100 series chipset and X99 motherboards.

Other then asking Kingston if they have tested their memory you can test it as well and report your findings.
You can return the memory if they do not work.

You can use the RAM, will it OC and be stable at that MHz - that is the question you will have to learn the hard way.

Google: your MB or Chipset + RAM +review - see what is on the web.

If the RAM MFG or MB Mfg have not Tested it or published results - your are throwing the dice.

Buy RAM from vendor with good return/ exchange policy

Bigger question - outside of Benchmarking will you the end user see a real difference--- Probably NOT
