I have a new build, first power up. - All four memory channels show a white LED (nominal)
- +5V PSU Power shows a white LED (nominal)
- Memory Power shows a white LED (nominal)
- BIOS1 shows a white LED (nominal)
- Undocumented LED shows a white LED. This is to right of CMOS Reset, bottom row, 4th LED from CMOS Reset.
- Power button is not lit and does nothing when pressed.
- Reset button is not lit and does nothing when pressed.
- I can press CMOS Reset (red button) and some of the white LEDs go out. Some LEDs come back in about 1/2 sec. Some LEDs saty off until I release CMOS reset. When I release CMOS reset, the above condition repeats.
- No noises. No flutters. If it was not for the white LEDs, I would think the card or PSU were dead.
Any thoughts?

Sounds like an issue with your Power Supply? What is the Make and Model and Age of the Power Supply? The Below Items Must Be Installed to Post the Bios. CPU? CPU Cooler? Memory? Graphics Card? Sounds like maybe you have a 1300 G2 Power Supply? Did you Bench Start your X299 Dark Motherboard Before you installed in your Lian Li Case?

Test & replace the CMOS battery if need be ... these are a known issue - some have been reported as dead
Check All connections on both ends if its a modular PSU: 24-pin, CPU power, GPU power
Remove the front panel wires & USB wires to case - if they are connected

I saw the CMOS battery thread, but the symptoms are a little different.
I did not yet check the CMOS battery from the other day. I learned that the card had to be removed to get the the bottom-side screws, and was not ready to do that. Now that I am taking things apart, I will be in a position to check that battery. I hope I have a spare laying around.
To bcavnaugh: How in the world did you come up with "1300 G2 Power Supply"?
I have heard of people bench assembling. They need to realize that a special frame is needed for proper grounding. I use the system case as the frame for proper grounding to avoid buying a second frame. If you are going to advise people to bench assemble without a proper grounding frame, you need to warn them about the bad things that can happen, like transients and stray voltages.

Please Post your Hardware List and then I will tell you. I am guessing that you Do have an EVGA 1300 G2 Power Supply then? Your Motherboard Comes with a PCB Bench Board. There is no need to post or warn others about a Grounding Frame using the PCB Bench Board that came with your Motherboard. You should also be using a Static Ground Strap when working but we do Post the need too as this is part of what we all do here. You did ask about the Battery in your Other Thread ( X299 Dark - How to Replace CMOS Battery) so I find it odd that you did not replace it.

The CMOS battery measures 2.600 V with no load and 2.575 V with a 4.7KΩ resister as a test load. I can't find a data sheet for the "D B V" batteries. Data sheets for a couple of other CR2032 batteries show 2.500 V as the point where the graph plummets--so I am thinking a "D B V" 2.575 V measurement needs taps played for it. I will replace with a Duracell CR2032 as soon as I find a child to get the package open.

It should be at least 3.0 VDC Mine showed only .002 and .004 VDC. Please Post your Hardware List.

It is Bill, it is how we work here on the Forum. Hard to help someone guessing what hardware is in use and knowing not only helps you but Others as well that have the same hardware. I still want to know what Power Supply you have  So I can tell you why I posted above.

Good morning guys! I think I got the same issue! Leds on, but the system won’t fire up. The PSU in my case is a Seasonic 1000W Titanium, but is working because I use it to fill the waterloop.
I’m pretty sure that was my fault, because some liquid dropped in the GPU second slot.
I’ve tried to turn on with nothing plugged, different ram sticks, but nothing.
But before to have this problem, i’ve Also changed the CPU!
I am waiting a few days to hope that the liquid will dry.
In case doesn’t, do you think that this error can be related also to a not well placed CPU?

X299 Dark 1.18 bios (tried also with the 1.08 switching to the second one)
Intel 9960X
Corsair LPX Quad 3733 C17 64GB at 3466 C16

Press and hold the Small Red Button on the MB or rear I/O Panel as you power on and hold for 5 Seconds. Then let the Motherboard do it thing, it may restart 2 or 3 times ALLOW it to complete this Process. New CPU "i’ve Also changed the CPU!" Remove the CPU and Check for Bent CPU Socket Pins. It might be best to Create your Own Thread being your issue is not as what the OP issue was.
