Hi All,

I just built an X99 FTW K system and right now just have the drivers Windows 10 installed.
Should I bother with the following or just use the Windows drivers?
Chipset
Turbo boost
Intel ME
Realtek Audio driver
Thanks,
Dave

Best get the drivers from Intel's website for the Downloads.
Being that you have an i7-5820K you do not need the Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 as your CPU has Version 2.0.
Download Intel® Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 Version: 1.0.0.1025 (Latest Maintenance Release 2 (MR2)
Version: 1.0.0.1025 Readme This file is only needed if you have one of the Below Intel CPU:
    Intel® Core™ i7-6850K
    Intel® Core™ i7-6800K
    Intel® Core™ i7-6900K
    Intel® Core™ i7-6950X

    All CPUs

Yep, which means it has things fixed in it that 1025 doesn't include.

It is always best to use the latest mfg's drivers.  Windows is not always up to date.

Though if you have a choice stay away from beta driver unless they apply to a specific issue your PC has.

Chipset & audio drives are important to keep updated

What is intel's terms of X99?  I'm trying to figure out what inte labels this chipset.  I see C610/X99 Chipset labels in Device Manager under system devices but can't find it in the manual search.  I already checked under Server if that's what you're referring too.  Is EVGA's X99 Classified chipset classified (pun intended) as a server board?  Regardless, C610 is no where to be found in the drop list.

I just checked your links and it didn't quiet answer my question.  I guess I'm looking for a more simplified answer.  I just don't want to be installing the wrong chipset drivers based on other boards.

Does anyone know what to search for in the intel search for our X99 MB's as to what chipsets they are because searching for "X99" shows up nothing.
