I Bought x79 Sli and 3820 the other day but its not booting up, after going through different forums and stuff.. I came to know that I need updated bios in order to make it work with that particular CPU.
Can some body tell me is this possible to update bios without CPU? if yes then how

Welcome to the forums! Sorry to say that it is not possible for you to flash BIOS without a CPU with these boards. Get in touch with one of the EVGA reps, or call them directly so you can get a pre-flashed BIOS chip mailed to you. It will save you having to RMA the whole motherboard. In the event EVGA can't or won't send you a bios chip then you can also purchase a pre-flashed chip for $20 on ebay. There is 1 seller located in the UK that has them and he will load what ever bios version you ask him to. I am currently waiting on a chip to get my 3820 and x79 FTW going but after reading this: http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?&m=1503182&print=true&mpage=2 I have little hope of getting this thing working.

Just from reading that thread I previously linked, others have been stuck with the problem even after replacing bios, motherboard and cpu. I've already replaced the cpu and motherboard on mine, EVGA was "Supposed" to flash the latest bios on the replacement board but either they didn't or it did not help. I'll know more when my bios chip i ordered that is loaded with v037 comes in late next week or early the following week.

What bios version are you running with your 3820 Clone? nevermind I just seen it in your signature. Did you by chance try any previous bios versions?

This is def. a feature that evga needs to work into their motherboards somehow. It's a fantastic feeling to know you have an up to date bios even before you install ram or a CPU. I could go on and on here, but this is one of the greatest features ever bestowed upon pc users. haha.

Hello.
I have take an older pc gaming.
it work in past but now have a serious issue.
Power on , the system **** down immediately in 2 second and restart itself , boot loop.
I try to switch bios 2 the sistem turn on regular I can enter in bios menu but if I boot system there only a stuck blinking cursor.
try to put usb o dvd the system stuck black screen with blinking cursor.
The pc are not flashed for bios , simply a morning come so.

To contacting support you have to register a product .
I have the product , also serial number , the system do not register the product , nothing happen.

What region are you in? You can contact support through email or telephone with registering a product. For US residents, support@evga.com is the email address. You can also use the fillable form at the bottom of the contact page, and explain your circumstances to get ahold of EVGA as well, without registering a product.
