K, burned up my i7 rig so I updated a bit to i5 3570k, msi mpower z77 board, 16 gigs patriot 1866 mem, and im trying to update my drivers for windows 8, on a fresh install of windows it puts 306.97's on it by default. I have tried the following drivers,
310.33
310.64
310.70

All of those drivers after I reboot it loads up, however I cant see anything, my monitor will flash every few seconds "asus VE247" and nada...no picture. Only way I can fix it is to "refresh" my install from the disk to get rid of the drivers. "tried safe mode to remove drivers" but even after reboot I get the same flashing dealio. All mobo drivers I install each time before trying to update 580 drivers but that didn't matter either. Any ideas as to why 306.97's are the only ones that will work?
