I have this video card:  EVGA GeForce 9800 GT HDMI  P/N: 01G-P3-N988-TR

It has one vga port, one hdmi port, and one DVI-I port.  It says it supports this resolution: Max Digital : 2560x1600 (Dual Link DVI Only)

I want to buy this monitor:

Nixeus WQHD 27" S-IPS Ultra High Resolution 2560x1440 PC/MAC Monitor NX-VUE27
I want to take advantage of the full resolution it supports.  To do so, I'll need to use it's Dual Link DVI-D port.

Is the DVI-I port on my video card compatible with the Dual Link DVI-D port on the monitor?  I expect I'll need a dual link DVI-D cable, but is "dual link" denoting bandwidth of the cable, or do I actually need to connect two cables to a video card to get higher resolutions?

Also, is the hdmi on my video card  compatible with revision 1.4, or just 1.3?  In other words, can it support higher resolutions than 1080p over hdmi?  The monitor supports hdmi 1.4.

I don't know why I didn't think of this before.  I dug out the box for it and it says right on the back "DVI Dual Link".

So, it will work with the monitor I want to buy.
