I noticed the fan on my graphics card doesn't spin.

Does this fan only spin under extreme loads?

Hi Twentyfourimages and welcome to the EVGA forums! The fan on the graphics card, while idling, will stay off until the temperature on the card exceeds 60C or you can manually turn it on with our Precision X OC software.

Thank you.  So far the temperature hasn't gotten anywhere near that.

In XOC, you can also select/set the aggressive fan profile, and it will turn on at lower temps. I also delinked the power fan from the radiator fan.

Does that include when the system is under full load? If so then you have an outstanding build.

Yes, I was running a benchmark 1080p and 4k max details and the fan didn't kick on.  Thought it was malfunctioning.  But the fan does work after I enabled it.  I guess I'll leave it in auto and trust the card knows when to turn it on.

Just sitting idle, the GPU is 29c Power 34c Mem 32c.  (I think they all got close to 40 but didn't break 40 without that fan on).
