So I got the EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra and recently started to try and overclock this card with the EVGA Precision X1 application.
I did exactly as per this video by TEAMEVGA on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzJBVNdfOZY

Managed to set 1300, 120 and 100. Fans at 100%, no artifacts or issues during the benchmark. Able to run Superposition benchmark a few times without Crashing.

FireStrike completed run with manual settings: 29739
FireStrike completed run with everything at default: 29445

EVGA Precision X1 (v1.0.2.0) readings:

GPU-Z readings:

Question is: Is it normal for the score to increase by (only(?)) 300 points? Or am I doing something wrong?
I'm new to overclocking, especially when it comes to the GPU.

Stable @ 2130 - that is a Win in my book

Benchmarks are a good way to test changes to your system ... what are the numbers @ default settings ?

The slowest part of your PC can have the biggest impact on benchmarks: CPU, front side bus, RAM ......

Post your links to your benchmarks and we will be able to see your setup better

Clean Boot the PC ... background activities will hold back your score

Room temp ?

Case open or closed ?

Case fans @ 100% ?

Thanks!

Is it considered stable if doing a few benchmark runs in Superposition/3DMark or would I have to do some longer stress testing @ full load?

Benchmark results:

FireStrike
Default settings: https://www.3dmark.com/fs/21360783
Manual settings: https://www.3dmark.com/fs/21389639

Room temp: ~20°C/~68°F  - maybe even a bit less.
DG-84 side panels both removed.
Front/intake (3x) full speed.
Back/exhaust (2x) half speed.
Top/exhaust (2x 140mm AIO) full speed
Top/intake (1x) full speed.

All applications stopped except GPU-Z/Precision X1. Startup everything disabled.

Precision X1 SCAN score: 110 (no idea what that score means, went up to 1980MHz)

If you did the test function and it gave you a score then you apply that score to the core clock.
Of course you can still overclock it higher than that but this a quick and easy way to help overclock a card.

Thanks! Makes perfect sense. Happy New Year in advance to all forum members and of course EVGA staff

I've noticed that when I run Precision X1 it affects FPS in some games even when using the 'stable' OC profile. Could it affect benchmarks as well? Hence having almost the same benchmark score while running the OC profile maybe?

Have a happy new year as well :)
It shouldn't affect it performance at all which is strange. I would recommend sending in a ticket so we can begin troubleshooting if need be.

Just checked. Whenever EVGA PrecisionX Server (v0.3.6) is opened and displaying in CS:GO for example it does no good to the FPS.

With PrecisionX Server running and no FPS limit (fps_max 0 + Vsync off) it is not going past 300 and also dropping below 200's. Without it - it goes up to 500-600 on a locally hosted server with AI (bots).
Of course there is no point for more FPS than you monitor can display - but at least a stable 240 FPS is needed when using a 240Hz monitor.
With EVGA Precision X Server running and even with Vsync enabled it is a bit "laggy". Goes down to 180 FPS at some points and is noticable compared to a stable/constant 240 FPS.

I guess it's not supposed to be used in-game? Is it even supposed to be used during benchmarks?
