Hey Jedi95 how can I add the -send all flag? I have wu that didnt get sent out earlier and I want to send it off now cuz it might not make the deadline. thank you

This isn't possible through the Tracker. Your best option would be to copy the FAH client into the directory then use that. Just make sure the client is stopped in the Tracker before you do this.

My webhost was probably down at the time. Just click yes and it should work. As of right now the default locations are the same as the ones that it gets from my site. Note that it only gets the URLs of the FAH clients from my site, it downloads the clients from Stanford. This was implemented to make it possible to change the links without releasing a Tracker update.

Is there any way to set the Tracker up for multiple Unicore clients?  Like if you have a C2D or Dual core CPU, to be able to use all cores?

Case: HAF 932
CPU: i7 950
GPU: EVGA GTX 470
RAM: 6gb Corsair XMS
OCZ Agility 2 50GB SSD
1TB WD Black

I had asked that before and jedi said he would need to put something special together to accomplish this.

This is very complicated with the way the Tracker is currently designed. I never intended to control multiple CPU clients at once, so most of the CPU specific code won't work with multiple clients. To add this I would need to add a significant amount of code, and rewrite a large part of the existing CPU/SMP code.

That said, CPU clients are probably the easiest to set up manually of all the FAH clients.

Half the problem is that sometimes FAH clients will detect machine ID conflicts with processes that are not actually FAH clients. There isn't really anything I can do in this situation because it isn't a Tracker bug.

I have been thinking about ways to handle these cases, since I also find this annoying. Here is how I might have it work:

If a machine ID conflict is detected the Tracker will compare the process ID the client lists as conflicting with the values for the other clients under its control. If there is a conflict with another client under its control, I plan to have to stop both the affected clients and re-generate their client.cfg files to remove any chance that the IDs are set incorrectly (either due to a bug or user modification) After this, the clients would be restarted.

If the ID listed is not a Tracker-controlled FAH client then there is really nothing else to do but stop the client and display a message for the user to correct the problem manually. I might be able to list the process name that it says is conflicting, but I am not sure if that is possible without looking at the code.

Jedi: I'm running tracker on my new rig. I configured the CPU to run -bigadv on 7 cores. Also running one GPU (450). It downloaded a 2692 unit. TPF is about 40 mins at 4.0 Ghz which means about 2.7 days to complete. The first -bigadv wu I ran lost due to power outage (diff. wu, same #). This one is chugging along fine about 25% complete.. the only thing missing is the bonus points calculation! First unit showed them just fine in tracker. Any ideas?
I have two other rigs pushing out non-bigadv smp's forever, so I know its not like I haven't done 10 wu's or anything like that.

Bonus points are taken into account for the PPD and when the stats are recorded. The points value in the main window does not show bonus points at this time.

Hmmm. Then what's that 27K PPD total shown in the PPD field in post 398 in this thread?
That's what I'm talking about, I only am showing 3,682.6 PPD for the same 8955 base points wu. I'll be done in under 3 days with this wu. The previous wu I ran showed about 27.5K in that same field. This time its not. Seems to me it's calculating PPD based on the base points with no bonus..sorry. I'm just confused as to why the difference. I suppose I can just wait until it drops and find out, but I like to see it there. Gives me a false sense of security......

2 things you can check:

1. Try updating the projects list, the auto updater for it doesn't work in all cases.

2. Check if the WU will complete within the deadline, and that the Tracker has the correct deadline information. You can do this by opening the client status viewing and checking the deadline information. If the deadline seems wrong, it's most likely that the WU start time didn't get updated.

#1 was already done..
#2 Where do I access the client status viewer? I see it on page 1 of this thread, but can't find it in all my menus..
I see client stats .. but not that viewer page..
Also, If the time did not get updated, is it fixable, and do I get full bonus PPD for the current unit?
this is ver. 3.3.7 btw

Ok.. double post time..
found the menu..did not realize individual clients were "clickable" until I moved the cursor over them then they highlight in blue..

Yeah that's the problem..
ETA is 1d 06hr 02min      Deadline is showing up as -03hr -58 min.. the wu's only been running a little over a day. Apparently it did not update as you suspected.. It picked up the date of the ORIGINAL wu I downloaded and is using that as the date stamp. The original crashed wu WAS flushed and the work unit directory cleaned up according to the log file, but nto the date it would seem, don't know how that works, but somehow I think I get screwed in this deal.
Any way to fix this, and is this a date stamp on the wu or in tracker?

It picked up the date of the ORIGINAL wu I downloaded and is using that as the date stamp. The original crashed wu WAS flushed and the work unit directory cleaned up according to the log file, but nto the date it would seem, don't know how that works, but somehow I think I get screwed in this deal.
Any way to fix this, and is this a date stamp on the wu or in tracker?

The Tracker can't read queue.dat so it maintains its own set of files for WU start times. This does not affect the actual credit you will get. You should get full credit for the WU since the time that matters is the time it took for the server to receive the WU back. I will have a look at the code to see what might have caused this.

It was probably due to the power outage..
Anyway, I pointed HFM to the files.. right now its showing:
ETA 22:24
Download time 11/29 12:42PM
Deadline 12/3 12:42PM
So I think all's well

Thanks for your help, Jedi.. It's a great program!

Just as a follow up for you Jedi:
The wu went through just fine, bonus received!
The next unit IS showing correct PPD now, so I think it was just the crashed that cause the issue with Tracker not updating the time correctly.
All ahead full Cap'n!

Version 3.38 stable has been released.

This version fixes a long-standing bug where the Tracker windows appear to be resizable. It also adds support for bonus points on any WU with kfactor > 0 instead of just SMP A3. Also, if you still get the "Failed to read FAHlog.txt" error after updating to this version, you can use -debug to log more details about the error.

I absolutely love this piece of software youve made! Fantastic, one thing though, where do I set the intervan between saving work to HDD? (3 to 15 minutes). I always have it set to 3 m inutes but i'm not sure where I go about setting this.

By default it will use all cores for the SMP client. If you want to change this just select "Use specified number of CPU cores"

Sorry if this was asked already, just skimmed thru the pages.
Is there any way to get the tracker and hence the clients to start with windows?

You need to add a shortcut for the trackers EXE in the windows startup folder located: C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

I'm frequently getting the error "Heat Control Config file not found". I'm trying to limit the GPU slightly, but to no avail. TIA!

Do you have multiple GPUs? If so then this error will occur when starting any GPU that has no settings defined. Also, Heat Control DOES NOT WORK on core 15 WUs, so it can't be used on Fermi cards. I will fix that error showing up in the next release.
