Does DLSS need to be enabled in NV control panel somewhere? I enabled DXR in BFV and restarted the game but could still not enable DLSS. I was able to enable Ray Traced reflections.

Why is DLSS still grayed out in BFV after enabling DXR then?

I'm currently on a 1080p monitor waiting for my ultradwide to return from the retailer. According to this post DLSS will only work at certain resolutions...

    Correct.

DLSS at 1080P would be up-scaled 720P and ugly and probably pointless.

Well, yeah, but I mean even more pointless because at 1080P, the video card should not be struggling with performance in the first place. Especially pointless because of the added latency of DLSS.

DLSS works great in 1440p in Metro Exodus after their post-launch patch. 4k apparently still has some blurriness, but is still better than it's initial appearance at launch.

I am guessing that, right now, 1440p is the DLSS sweet spot (at least in Metro: Exodus).

I haven't bothered testing it in BFV, but I believe it's only available to those playing in 4k. Even so, they haven't released a fix for their blurriness problem since they added DLSS.

I tested DLSS in 1400p in BF V. But the drop in FPS is a no go for me.

Drop in FPS? Umm, what? You mean, you tried Raytracing, not DLSS?

The current Metro patch shows it doesn’t have to be blurry mess. The increase in DSLL performance allows RTX to be pretty much impact free with graphics that are pretty close to the original.

It still blurs the image ever so slightly. I like a sharp image over a blurred one.

At least in BF V you can't enable DLSS without enabling Ray Tracing. Even with ray tracing on low my fps was around 90~100. While with it off I barely go bellow 130.

Yeaps DLSS brings down the imagequality by quite the margin, UDF Tech also had that in one of their videos this one it  seems, also how DLSS  can be used oncertain cards with only certain reso's.

The Tensor cores also run slower that he CUDA cores , so to make the Tensor cores useful the framerate would have to be low enough for DLSS to actually function..
Anyways it was something weird like that, here the video, scroll to 1:20 for the DLSS info:

I'm like why add it if it's only ending up being useless?
Ray Tracing barely works at 1080p, I think we will have to wait  5 + years for Raytracing to even be playable beyond 2560x1600/1440 or 4096x2400/2160 & 3840x2400/2160 that being
Even that only partial raytracing is done not the full thing as done with them demo's and  four Quadro RTX 6000's rofl, even thatthere is a Quadro RTX 8000 48GB as well, 10K USD for those slightly cheaper than a 3dfx Rampage 2000 Engineering Sample hehe.
