Congratulations to those that secured 3070 Ultras today. And, congratulations again to everybody whose watch came to a successful conclusion in 2020.  
 
For the rest of us, the watch continues into 2021.  But that effort is still some days away.  My advice for the interim...reintroduce yourself to your pets, walk your family, feed your stationary bike (or your walking/running shoes) and generally engage in cognitive dissonance for the remainder of 2020.  Stay safe.

Got it installed a little bit ago.  My case makes the BFGPU look rather average sized.
 

 
 

I started assembling parts for a new computer about 6 months ago. I started with an EVGA PSU. Then a Fractal Design Define 7 XL case. I've now assembled everything but the CPU and the GPU--I have bought a Gigabyte X570 motherboard, two 1TB Sabrent SSD drives, 64 GB of 3600 GHz memory, and a Noctua cooler.
 
I've been on every list I can find for a 5900X CPU and an RTX 3060TI GPU. I'd buy a 3070 if I found one before a 3060TI, but even a 3060TI is probably overkill for what I'd do. I'm tired of waiting, but I'll wait until hell freezes over before I will give any of my money to the @#$%^ scalpers. In fact, I'm praying that there is suddenly an oversupply of the parts they grabbed so that they lose money on the ones they haven't sold yet.
 
The posted photos of the lit up computers appear to be beautifully assembled. I hope I'll be able to do my cabling as well as you guys have. But no-one will see my cabling because I don't plan to have any lighting inside of mine.
 
I run a Miniature Schnauzer rescue organization in Los Angeles. There have been very few Schnauzers in the California shelters since COVID began. We've brought in a couple of shipments of rescue Schnauzers from China this year and have another shipment to come--hopefully this weekend. It's harder than hell to get space on a flight for the dogs. I wonder if some of the holdup in computer parts is also due to difficulties in getting space to ship them here from Asia. Or maybe TSMC is having trouble producing enough chips for Nvidia and AMD?
 
I have no doubt that Nvidia and AMD are shipping every GPU and CPU they can assemble and ship. There is no reason for them not to do so. They can get higher prices now than they will get later when competitors have released new more competitive products. And the sooner the profits come in, the sooner the executives get their bonuses.

See you all in 2021, EVGA better make a huge drop when they come back, for real :D

It's because the vast majority of the time stamps are front loaded in that queue. And it's also because a bunch of those time stamps belong to scalpers. EVGA has sold thousands of cards just to get where they are right now. Look, if you were on top of it at all and are not too picky about what card you get, you likely would have had multiple opportunities to have a card by now.... at cost. I could have had a 3080 FTW3 or one of the 3090's in hand by now, and I wasn't even that on top of it with the 3080 FTW3. I didn't get a time stamp until the evening of 9/17 which means that I would have been sent a buy link around the third week of November had I not canceled it. It wasn't really the card that I wanted so I let it go. The auto-notifies are now being announced in advance and with the exception of the Kingpin are remaining up after they go live, so nobody has the "I didn't find out in time" excuse like I did with some of the earlier queues. Those who were on top of things already have a card by now. Those who are not will have to wait. It's one thing to come here and whine about it. There has been plenty of that going on for months. It's another thing to come here and brag about how you paid a scalper and made things worse for everyone else.
 
 

Secured my card, purchase via J and N computers out of New York and it’s just as amazing as I had hoped. Sticking out the queue for my wife’s PC, hoping for movement early 2021 on them black 3070’s.
