To be honest, doing a reconfirmation would be pointless... yes the queue may be bloated, but when it gets to someone that doesn't want it, all that does is delay it going to the next person by a day.  At this point, what is a day to most of the people that have been waiting for months... granted, if that happens on Tuesday, you gon be waitin' two weeks, but other than that, there's really not much point in wasting the effort.

Good luck everyone today!  I look forward to hopefully getting or hopefully not getting (so I have extra time to do even more research) my Kingpin notify.

+1 that was what I was thinking. IDK about the evga side but I doubt the factories in Taiwan or China will switch off over Christmas so I'm hoping for some large drops after EVGA reopens and manufactures the cards that they got over the holidays.

yeah, another day of watching paint dry. Just hoping for some good movement in the queue. I'm glad CDPR made Cyberpunk buggy so I'm not missing anything while I'm waiting for my card.

That is EXACTLY my thinking since it came out .. I was in a total "GOTTA HAVE A CARD BY CYBERPUNK" frenzy. Then the reviews hit, and kept hitting and kept hitting ... Now I'm in the "Ehhh if I have to wait til the 3080 ti's come out, it's cool" camp lol

Very likely the drops after eVGA opens back up fully on the 4th of January are going to be "huge" yes.  Might take a few days for them to assemble all that stuff together so to speak, but the first full week of January should be a big one for several queues, if not all of them, because of the backup that will be created by their shipping department being closed from the 24th to the 3rd.

Yeah I don't get what everyone is complaining about.  I've had zero major issues with Cyberpunk in the ~20hrs I've played it so far.  I had one crashing issue that ended up being related to Afterburner & Precision fighting over who gets to set my GPU clock resulting in the game hard-locking (from it trying to run several steps higher than set clocks), but once I fixed that it's been smooth sailing with no noticeable issues at all.

Those on the bubble, prepare thy diddlies.  For today will be a big drop Monday (hopefully).

And remember: Use an associate's code during checkout, it's a free 5% off, all you have to do is put the code in during checkout or use the cookie-clicky enabled thingies in people's signatures to start with.  You get 5% off your order, and the person who's code you're using gets a 3% eVGA Bucks payback in a month's time - also, when you're registering your card, you can use an eVGA Rewards code & that person gets a few free eVGA Bucks then as well.  Spread the love this holiday season ^_^

I imagine the drops we'll be getting in that first week of January are going to be giganto compared to anything we've gotten this month.  Hopefully it at least moves the queues several hours each - and hopefully we get decent movement today!

I doubt it. This will be the norm for awhile. When Nvidia no longer is getting the sizzle from being in the news, that's when the stock will all of a sudden go way up.

Do what? You think Nvidia is intentionally slowing production because of the attention? I'm confused...

I just believe that Nvidia is using "artificial scarcity" to keep demand way up for their products ala Nintendo and the Switch...just my opinion

I would say this is true if their product wasn't as in demand as it is. It makes very little business sense to intentionally throttle your sales... this is true in a couple of areas. From a purely sales perspective, if you've invested time, $$, and labor to manufacture then you want to sell as many as you can at retail (not on sale). From a manufacturing perspective, if your workers and manufacturing equipment aren't operating then that's inefficient and your profit per item lowers.

While I do think Nvidia/Sony/MS/Nintendo enjoy being in the spotlight for selling out their product I don't think for 1 second they would trickle release and sell 1 million units when they could sell 10 million and meet demand.

Comon now, don't ruin that for us! Bugs in cyberpunk are a coping mechanism for us pleebs who haven't been able to get even a single gpu.

Keep in mind, The drop on January 5th-6th will be a 2 week build up from stock they receive from December 24th all the way to January 4th. It will be large, there's no two ways about it.

Add the fact that Nvidia is not getting ANY benefits of the shortage. They are still selling to stores and vendors at MSRP.
Scalpers are just getting them and inflating them.
It does not give them more money.
If they were actively inflating the price (like the famous monitor and tv scandal, where mayor monitor and tv factories were price fixing and production throttling to keep prices high) maybe...
Infact, these shortages are probably annoying investors.

Artificial scarcity isn't a real thing. The Nvidia shareholders and board would kick the leadership so hard if they did that as that would take money out of their pockets. The leadership already needs to answer the board for not meeting demand and saying they are intentionally not meeting demand for "reasons" would not cut it. This is also not to mention the dozens of companies that rely on Nvidia for sales revenue; Evga to New Egg and EKWB. Hurting relationships with these customers will also hurt Nividia.

Second, not meeting demand doesn't cause demand to increase or even maintain demand; it causes demand to go down as consumers look for other options. If AMD had their stuff together a lot of customers would have bought a competitor product when they would never have done so before (and many still will if AMD cards become widely available sooner) , others are going to the secondary market and doing a smaller upgrade or deciding to skip this generation.

Bit over dramatic much, the last Kingpin drop was in excess of 100 units, for example. And that's a binned, limited run sku
