Samg381 I think that's a solid plan. I appreciate yours and everyone's feedback here. Hopefully I'll at least break even on the sale.. I wish I'd be able to try out the card first! As for the CPU/Mobo/Ram upgrade, I'm totally onboard. While I am admittedly in the Intel camp, I would much sooner buy an AMD CPU than a GPU.. let's just say I've learned my lesson with an R9 280X and a R9 Fury X..
I have never owned a AMD GPU. Nvidia has always been a step ahead to varying degrees. At some points in time it was closer than others, but as of right now Nvidia is destroying AMD. As for CPU performance, Intel chips benchmark a little better in some aspects but it's not a meaningful difference, especially these days when GPU's have become the bottleneck in most systems. Having the newest fastest most expensive CPU is not as important as it used to be. AMD's multi-cores have closed the gap with Intel and they are a lot cheaper. It substantially brings down the cost of building a new rig. Everyone here who builds their own rig knows how it works. You can build a pretty sick tower for under 2k, and that includes a 3080. Or, you could build a top-of-the-line-everything tower for 6k that won't be noticeably different in how it performs, at least not to the average user.

IDK I've shipped a lot of expensive stuff over the years. Never had a FedEx overnight package get lost, never. Had Lots of lost ground ups and USPS packages never make it. The claim process would take a while and be a major bummer, so there's that piece of mind factor too.

Congrats! Anybody got any idea how accurate the spreadsheet is for the above sku? I'm 12/12/2020 9:14:00 AM PTNo two days or so behind but the spreadsheet says only 19 people in front of me. I realize probably lots of people that didn't fill out the sheet, but any idea if it's completely off by like a 100 or fairly close ?

Hi. Yes, this summary is designed to show folks where the head of the queue is for each particular card. Some cards' queues only move by seconds or minutes each day, so even if you have signed up on 9/17, you may still have a wait ahead of you. Best of luck!

The auto-notify date/time is the time that you signed up for the email, yes. The one that show's up when you go to the Notifications page:

I'd say it's WAAAAYYY off. Speculation, of course but stands to reason that way more people did not fill out the form.

The spreadsheet is not accurate. Please work from the timeline (days, hours, minutes and seconds). The ordinal numbers or projected queue columns are lies.

Dabadger84 ... Secondly, there is zero guarantee it will actually get overnighted, due to delays given the time of year (holidays are always busy & result in delays) and due to COVID. ...
Yes, fair point. However, not going Ground at least has the chance to keep it out of the Ground transit system.
skleidnbfoies I don't know where you live but if you live on the east coast it can take upwards of 7 days because they don't do sat/sun delivery on ground deliveries for some reason. It also only costs a few bucks more to get it 5 days earlier.
I'm east coast as well and just a hair over 2,500 miles from where it will ship from. I'm willing to throw another $20'ish in on shipping and take the gamble that this time of year that it either might or might not make any difference at all.
im actually expecting my card to arrive today and I ordered it wednesday

What's up everyone? Wishing everyone a happy holiday season. For those that have had some form of loss this year (including my family), I hope 2021 is kinder to all of us. Anyhow, I'm a long time lurker but wanted to contribute to those of you waiting to know how the queue is moving along. I just got my notification at 9:59am PST, and I signed up on 9/18 at 10:01am PST. Looking forward to continue contributing on this great forum. BTW, just a funny observation going through check out, my ground UPS option that was cheaper also had the shortest delivery timeframe. Odd. I have a pic in case any one wants to see. Maybe I'm oblivious to something in the logistics world. Lastly, want to give a shout out to enewt! I used your associate code; thank you mate!

Congratulations on your card! Your watch is quickly coming to an end! Yes, for folks near Brea, California, UPS ground is often faster and cheaper. Thanks for your kind words, for reporting back to the thread and for using my Associate’s Code for the 5% discount. Enjoy your card!

It is absolutely the worst system we have for buying gpus, except for all of the others.

Assuming this is for the 3080 FTW3 Ultra? Congrats by the way!
