Ouch. I am literally 92 seconds away of getting the 3070 FTW3 Ultra. A strong chance that it will drop next week.

I mean last week moved about 10 minutes, but since the list will only get slower as more people signed up on the morning of the 29th idk

Well..., it looks from the spreadsheet that I might have to take a hybrid 3988 or 3978 as they seem to be the only ones that are anywhere near to where I am on the 'my notifies' page. Not what I would want for my first choice, but considering that the other 3090's seem to be mostly not moving at all, if I want to have a 3090 any time before the forty series cards come out, or I might succumb to one of several ailments that I suffer from and are unfortunately all too common in those of my age group, I guess I'll have to take one of them! I have never had a water cooled card before, although I have had AIO water coolers on various CPU's. My current CPU has a rather large heat sink on it as it is an AMD Threadripper 3960x. I am impressed with it's performance and eventually will install an AIO water cooler on it, but that will have to compete for space with the radiator on a hybrid 39xx series EVGA card. Fortunately, I have a large case. It's an older Cooler Master HAF 932 that will accommodate radiators in various positions. I would like to buy a newer case, but will probably have to make do with what I have now for a while. I just find it odd that the lower tier 3090 cards, the 3971, 3973 and 3975 cards seem to have almost no movement to their position on the spreadsheet maintained by the extremely helpful and capable efforts of Mr. enewt! It almost seems as though they are taking those and making hybrid cards out of them. My only worry about a hybrid card is the fear of failure of the water cooling system. I certainly hope they have chosen a suitably robust pump for the system!

TBF it is the size of a small/medium sized person (691 x 344 x 645 mm (27.2 x 13.5 x 25.4 inch)), you can fit a person inside of it, it weighs over 70lbs with the glass on, and it cost an arm and a leg. It will be my case for many, many, many moons, just like my last one lived through a few systems. I was considering going with something less lorge (or less expensive) but when I thought about it for a while and I really looked at it, my brain went "what other case can literally fit everything you'd possibly want to put in it" that isn't a CaseLabs or similar plexi-box style case. Mine actually arrived with the front glass sheered off it's connection screws... normally I would've raged at Newegg & returned it, but I was legitimately planning to remove the front glass immediately anyway as it would've obstructed airflow too much. The front glass is actually the inserted piece you see on the right half of the image, it's keeping the intake air from cheating it's way out of the bottom crack of the case until after it gets to the GPU/CPU areas (I noticed this was a thing by feeling the air coming out of the area). So it still has a purpose. One thing's for sure, next time I pay that much for a case that heavy, I'm going to buy it from a store, have it shipped to said store, and insist we open it up before I leave the store to make sure it wasn't damaged in shipping. Imagine having to return a case that weighs 70lbs and having to pay for it up front. lol Overall, once I got a proper amounted of fans in it (it comes with 4, which is a good starting setup) for everything going on in there, I was very & still am very happy with it. Haven't slept yet, too hyped, I kept busy for a bit, played some Avengers, and now I'm debating if I should eat & stay up til morning, or finally try to rest.

If you're able to use a Hybrid card, you could wait for the 3080 FTW3 Hybrid queue to open back up & get in on that fast - that would net you a card much, MUCH faster (example I queued for the 3090 FTW3 Hybrid yesterday & got to order my card today) - you're looking at probably 2-3 months before you get an air-cooled card if you just signed up for queue recently, if not longer.

Wow, someone used my code today to buy a 3090 FTW3 Ultra (can't tell if Hybrid or regular since they're the same price) as well O_O and 2 others bought Hybrid kits. Thank you to whomever it was, I hope you enjoy your card/coolers thoroughly, appreciate you using my code whoever you are ^_^ I'm definitely too hyped, usually after being up over 24 hours I start fading before getting my second wind, I haven't even felt the fade yet.

Am I the only one that missed the whole train of "Precision X1 1.1.2.0 is live"? Only lists this for updates, but I'm still gonna update: " Release: 11/26/2020 - Adds support for EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 K|NGP|N
- Various Bug Fixes"
Edit: or not, apparently this version has some "issues" that I don't want to chance encountering... you know the old addage, if it ain't broke, don't fix it - this applies in life, and to drivers & software updates. lol

Tried that before. My problem right now is, I'm out of work, so I never "put out enough" energy during the day to get tired, so eventually I just get bored & go to bed. On days like today, I'm all excited, happy, don't get tired or bored as easily, so I end up staying up 30-36 hours, then I finally crash out, typically sleep about 10-12 after that. My job I was on my feet between 9 and up to 12 hours a day, and it was pretty high stress most of the time, so by the time I got home, I could wind down, game for a bit, then go to bed. I'm gonna throw myself back in to a pretty rough exercise regiment now that some issues I was having are taken care of finally, start this coming week, should be interesting. Been ramping myself up a bit in the last few weeks making sure I don't push too hard too fast lol The fact that I liquidated unnecessary assets & promptly put them in to a 3090 is a true "epic gamer" moment - but I do plan on returning to the workforce, as soon as the Rona is not ravaging the world as badly as it is right now. viper809 Yeah dager the feeling is amazing when someone use's a code. I know i will get the card before im even able to use the evgabucks but they do have alot of products. all the power supplys are sold out, i was looking at it. i currently have a 750w gold. but idk if i should go higher.
What card are you planning on getting again? My brain is frazzled because it's in Cyberpunk-land & I've been up for 26 hours lol Lebon14 No, I'm not able to. Especially when they're dual fans. I was planning to get started on my new rig around February. In the meant time, I'll be looking at an AMD CPU. ...I'm so looking forward to ditch this 10yo rig I have >.> It has an EVGA GTX 680 in it. lel
Man, you're in for such a huge enjoyable amount of upgrade if you're going the 5xxx-series AMD CPU & a quality 3000-series NVidia GPU. I remember when I went from a R9 295x2 to the Titan Xp SLi (only had it briefly) - It was insane to me how huge the jump was. Imagine going from a 680 to a 30-series will be several times that in terms of performance jump. Just going from my 1080 Ti to this 3080 was pretty impressive in the titles I tested before the 3080 came in vs after.

Wow it didn't get to me by much did it... Glad I decided against waiting until 9:30... although TBF it would've saved me the $5 fee I paid Paypal to transfer the money for that sale to my bank account immediately. But oh well :-D

I didn’t think it was going to get far. I am glad you jumped in early but sorry you had the headache you did to thread the needle. Very happy that it all worked out for you!

Ah you plan to jump in to the 3080 FTW3 Hybrid queue when it opens back up. If I were you I'd wait & definitely jump on that one if you are okay with waiting. The XOC BIOS gives a decent bit of headroom on the FTW3 Ultra, and said headroom allows for more spicy undervolting as well. Nothing like a barely-cooler-than-stock-but-faster-boost-clocks-and-no-power-limit-issues undervolt in the 2055-2070MHz @ 994mV range. lol enewt I didn’t think it was going to get far. I'm guessing all of Friday's queue folks that got their call up were from people not purchasing in the window on Thursday. Hopefully a decent sized chunk of 3080s & 3090s of the Hybrid variety will be suited up in their respective Moistening Suits for shipping out this coming week so more people can at least enjoy their GPUs right after Christmas.
