Apologies but I am going to be a bit tonight.

Here is the state of the North American queues (bolded font represents movement from this morning's summary; italicized parentheticals calculate the length of the movement):

     Card                                 SKU                      Auto-Notify Date/Time

     Ultra

    3080 FTW3 Ultra               3897                     09/17/2020 19:58:00       (+02:01:00)

Omg I'm actually 23 minutes out... Pls let me get one in time for Cyberpunk. Managed to get a R5 5600X on release day so this would be prime.

Well, it is what it is but I still maintain that Nvidia was not properly prepared for this launch. It's quite obvious this is more than a demand issue and more of a supply chain problem. Quite honestly they should have delayed the launch to 2021 but were too eager to cash in on holiday fever. The idea there's all these rumors of new SKUs being introduced before end of year is just asinine given the current problems.

While I agree it is super frustrating, I disagree vehemently that NVIDIA should have waited. Thousands of people are playing and working on these new cards already and I doubt any of them would have been happy to wait.  It is frustrating to be one of the people who HASN'T gotten a card but that is no reason to want to take away everyone's toys :)

Waiting in the queue is the slower but less work alternative.  You can be more pro-active and actively check sites constantly, which is faster but more work.

Or you can take a more middle of the road approach which is what I did.  Be in the queues here for a few cards of the series you want (3080. 3090. etc) but also every now and then check other sites.  I had tabs open for Newegg & Best Buy and just every now and then I would refresh them when I wanted to take a break from work.  And a few days ago I scored when Best Buy apparently dropped a BUNCH of Founders Edition 3090 cards.  In fact a good half dozen or more people here scored that day.  I should have a FE 3090 arrive Wednesday, though I am keeping my 3090 queues here for a second card.

So is the 3080 ftw Gaming just not moving at all? Seems those of us who queued up for that one are screwed. EVGA is clearly prioritizing the FTW ultra cards. Understandably so, but if I could move my registration over to that card I'd have a FTW3 already since my notify date is passed where we are in the queue already.

Nice.  This queue has been moving pretty well lately it seems.  I'm only 16 hours away now :)

Man it's so messed up that we are STILL on the day of release of 3080s (or was it the day before Sept 16th?) a whole TWO MONTHS after actual release day...

Yeah, we're pretty much screwed.  They haven't even began to start building these cards and at least 1 retailer has listed this sku as discontinued.  I selected the FTW gaming because I thought there would be less demand and I'd be further ahead in the queue, which is true.  I was hoping they would begin building these cards by now, yet here we are 2 MONTHS after launch and we're left high and dry.  I'd gladly pay the extra $20 because lets face it, it's already an $800 card....

Call me cynical but I signed up for the most expensive versions because I just knew those would be the ones that moved faster.  Either because they got more supply, or they have less demand.  Or both.

Has there been any talks about step-up queues actually putting cards into people's hands? Or is all inventory allocated to the new order queues?

I raise the white flag on this debacle. I was on night shifts when my notification was send out. Just by chance I happened to check. Go to buy and what do I get..."EVGA website is at full capacity"...strange as I doubt there was a pile up of people on the website at 03:00 EST. So I could not order. I could not dick around with it at work. Now the notification is expired. Ah well. At least on a positive note, someone else received my card. The Ole' EVGA SSC ACX 2.0+ GTX 970 will have to hold the fort, which is amazingly does for 1080 after all these years.

Reply to the order email.  There was a clear issue with the website today as reported by many people and I'm sure EVGA will do right by you.

Already got the 3070 XC3 Black from the queue a couple weeks ago but I left my notify up for the ultra "just in case".  I passed...so if you just missed the cutoff by a couple seconds at 6:09:XX maybe today is your day when she goes back in the hopper.  Good luck.

I admit I considered trying to flip on eBay or something but I'm still in the step up queue for my 2070S to a 3080 from 9/18 and it just felt like bad queue karma LOL

This is good news for me too!!! I’m 7:15

I don't think I am going to bother as i am sure in the time since the 8h off expired, another 1000 people went ahead of me. Just disappointing, but again, it works out for someone else. I refuse to contribute to the problem by buying off scalpers, and it looks like there are quite a few of them on here too (ie why are people buying 2, 3, or ever 4 different cards) when others cannot even buy the one they want to actually use in their personal computer. I will just get one in the new year maybe. I missed an opportunity for a 3070 FTW3 at MSRP the other day. They had a ton of 3090s in stock, but i do not understand the purpose to an average person of a $2700 (CAN) tax in at MSRP video card.

Entirely your choice.  But there was a problem with the website last night and I have watched throughout this queue process on Twitter as person after person was able to work with EVGA to get a card ordered after the allotted 8-hour window had passed.  It isn't difficult and has accomplished fairly regularly.  I would just hate for you to regret not getting it in a few weeks, but...again...entirely your call.

For others who had similar issues with the store last night, simply reply to your "invite to purchase" email noting the difficulty and EVGA should reach out to help out.  If you want to be even more proactive, reply to the email AND call the EVGA customer service number (info below) when they open in a little under an hour at 9 am PT.  By being more proactive along these lines you will hopefully avoid a situation where they send the card out as a straggler and your shipment is delayed from leaving EVGA's warehouses today vs a few days from now.

Good luck to all!

@EVGA_JacobF gets Twitter questions about this every few days or so.  From his responses (and from tweets of folks who have received cards through the Step-Up program) cards are being allocated to those queues as well.

As I see it, in addition to all of EVGA's retail partners in North America and around the world, EVGA is trying to satisfy three sets of queues itself: (a) the "NVIDIA Launch Debacle Queues(tm)" -- i.e., the ones that we have been keeping warm by our presence, (b) the Step-Up Queues (self-explanatory) and (c) the RMA queues (also self-explanatory).  I think the RMA queue gets serviced first (which I think appropriate).

One could also say that this may have been LESS in supply since it requires a stable OC. It could have gone both ways. If these chips didn't OC well and getting a stable OC (even that small amount) was difficult, the gaming would have been the dominant stock.

Coming up 9am in CA, I guess we'll find out soon enough if anything is going out today. I have a notification in for a 3070, but it looks like I'll be waiting a good while for my number to come up on that one.

Ahhh, I'm 45 secs away in the 3751 queue....I wish I never looked. Based on the movement up until now at least I'm fairly confident I'll at least have one before Christmas :)

Need an Affiliate Code so I can register this here keyboard even though I'm having doubts about whether or not I like it.  Definitely glad I only paid $71 instead of full MSRP for it.
Let's see how far back in posts I have to go to find one.
