There are tons of service members overseas that would most likely be sleeping during US "normal work hours". Could there be a exception to the email deadline for those of us serving overseas? Most of us would be eager to provide orders to show that we are in fact overseas. It would be greatly appreciated. If not, I will suck it up and set alarms every three hours during my sleep cycle.

There's an 8 hour window from when the email is sent to when you have to purchase, not 3 hours, so you're good to go. Thanks for your service, now go get some sleep.

Will the new SKUs for the refreshed lineup require a fresh queuing, or will the higher GB models slot in to these existing skus and we'll keep our place?

Also, if we get to our place in line before the refreshed linup with more memory comes out, will we be able to 'step-up' or whatever?  (and how much?)

Though, based on rough math, I don't actually think I'll need to worry about it until much much later in 2021.

Step-up wise, I think you can only go up a series, not just extra memory if they release two different memory amounts. So 3070 could go to 3080 or 3080 ti or 3090. 3080 could go to 3080 ti or 3090

Mmm,  I'm just a random dude on the internet.  Pay me no mind.  It seemed to me the low volume indicated a rework on their lineup.  The 3060ti having more memory is necessary to counter navi 22, and the 3060ti having more memory than the 3080 (as an example) seemed to be a problem they would want to correct.  And the low shipment volume points to the bulk of stock being redirected toward this new refresh.
 
In any case, the 3080ti would be a viable step-up, based on your guidance.  So I can do the 3080 if it comes, and grab the 3080ti later in Q2, or Q3 or whenever.  Thanks!

I think you may be right.  There have been almost no 3080 drops in the last 7 days other than what's going out from the EVGA queue system.  Though I'm seeing multiple notifications for 3090s nearly every day.  It may be they've shifted production to 3090s because they know few will want to justify spending over $1600 when the 6900xt comes with similar performance for less than $1000.  The 3090 will be better, but is it $600-800 better?

Those ran hot as heck too, 2 PCBs sandwiched with the GPUs only 2 slots away form each other, facing eachother, it was hard to keep those things cool, I had 2 of them in Quad-SLi (they called it Quad instead of 4-Way because it was 2 Dual GPU cards in SLi) and it was hilarious how bad it performed in some games but how well it scaled in others.

Heh kid, in 2006 I had 1GB e-GeForce 7950 GX2, but furnace champ was GTX480 (Fermi).

Good call.  I just checked and it's the correct amount.  I don't want to get my hopes up (been hurt too many times trying to buy one), but this could actually be it.

He was just messin' around anyway, but I am no spring chicken that is for sure.
 
I skipped the 480s completely, went from GTX 280s to 580s if I recall correctly.  Leaf blower cards will be missed (not), but they were quite nice for SLi setups, all you had to do was have any airflow at them at all and they would run decently cool if you were okay with running the fans on 100% lol
 
I should check on Step Up queue & see what the fate of this 2070 Super is going to be... if it's looking like I'm still a long way off on that, I'm probably just going to skip it, resell the 2070 Super & be done with that.
