I have been lurking for a while and have been waiting patiently for a card to become available. I have the following 2 cards in the que:

Could someone that understands the intricacies of the system perhaps give me a honest opinion on when and if I will ever get to the top of the que?

I signed up for the 10G-P5-3885-KR queue in April 2021 and I was moved to the 10G-P5-3885-KL queue by EVGA at the end of June 2021.

The queues are locked.  They may reopen -- and I stress the word may -- once the current queue lists have been satisfied.  If that happens, it will likely be on a SKU-by-SKU basis.  However, all of that is just speculation.  The fact remains that the queues have been locked since September 2021.

Nobody knows for sure.  I am hopeful that they will add a third queue opportunity so that folks don't have to abandon the queues they are already in for the chance at a 3050 (or eventual 3090 Ti)...but only EVGA knows for sure.  And they are telling folks (yet).

At the present time there is no information from EVGA concerning the upcoming release.  Keep checking EVGA's site and the forums.  When it is announced you'll definitely see it on the forums.

If you're in two queues and one comes available, can you still buy the other one when it hits? I feel like the 30 series is worth having a backup card for.

Yeah. It only moved 30 minutes and 10 seconds in 51 weeks. The maths tell me that it won't reach 9/27/2021 until the year 15,300. Even Dune (2021) is set thousands of years before that.

The most extreme case that doesn't divide by 0 is 3895, which moved 3 seconds in 6 weeks. It won't reach 9/27/2021 until 1,229,315. Who knows how many Thanksgivikkahs we'll have before then? (A reference as old as my current gaming rig, which still has the original CPU, CPU cooler, mobo, optical drive and RAM.)

The lottery queue system they put in place is ridiculous. Basically just forced people to randomly decide which notifies they want to leave on with no real information on what will show up first. Should have just limited to 1 GPU and notified when any GPU of a certain selected class is available (3070, 3080, 3090, etc) using the oldest notify as the user's selection date. That way people who hit the lottery by selecting the right specific model in their queue after just a couple of months wouldn't jump the line over someone who has been on the queue for over a year.

This is wonderful, so I will never get a 10G-P5-3897-KL and it will be almost 5 years until I may get a 10G-P5-3895-KR.  I'm thinking I'll have to watch for the 3050's, unless this f****** scalpers and bitcoin miners grab them all.  I'm sure there will be a long queue for the 3050's.  Thanks COVID and thanks EVGA.

So I did some maths in my spreadsheet, and here are my (linear) estimates as to when each queue will reach the September 27, 2021 cutoff where sign-ups were disabled (on 30 series cards only).  In order of which might complete first:
 
04/29/2025 15:19:08 3797 (3070 Ti FTW3 οΌ΅οΌ¬οΌ΄οΌ²οΌ‘)

 
 
It is common practice for Green Bay Packers fans to apply for a new season ticket when a baby is born, in the hopes that they will receive the season ticket before they die of old age. 
 
I'm thinking that a similar tactic should be used by those wanting a graphics card at MSRP.
