Then like others have suggested, people waiting for their first card since 2020 should get the option to get first crack at the Supers. Limit it to one card per account and have it remove you from the originals. I used to have no sympathy for those waiting on a single SKU since launch, but with the changes to Newegg and Best Buy, it is not really a question of effort anymore.

I am going to have to agree with the latest Jayz video, adding a set of Super SKUs is really a slap in the face when they cannot meet demand for 30 series for people who queued in October 2020, then made everyone Elite prior to Ti launch and also made existing positions chose between LHR/non-LHR.  They keep opening up new lines instead of servicing existing ones (now I know NVIDIA calling the shots and partially has EVGA by the short hairs, but still).
 
How many lines are loyal customers going to have to wait in before they stop opening new lines for come-latelys to jump ahead in?  I dont have a horse in this race, other than the people who have been waiting since last year for a single card should definitely get precedence over all new 30-series SKUS if NVIDIA wants to keep creating all these variants.

When I saw that the current queues were suspended, I immediately became suspicious that it was because of an impending Super launch and, well, EVGA is trying their best to avoid making the situation you point out above any worse.  I mean, there will be people who get lucky and get a 3080Ti and a 3080 Super before some unlucky people who signed up for the 3080 right at the launch get any of these cards.  The poll that Jacob put up enforces for me that the Supers are actually on their way soon. 

 
Yeah I did not know about the queue until Oct 7 and signed for five or six cards that day. I never got a one.
 
It took me a long time to realize sign for every card. I did I got a 3060 first as a lot of them moved with speed. That was signed in Feb and received in March.  It was the low end card.  The only card I got after that was the 3090 hybrid I signed near my birthday in Jan 2021 and got it near 4th of july. It is in my 3970 threadripper rig
 
I was up to 38 or 39 cards but as the LHR cards came I simply ended a lot of my notifies .

I built a rig for a friend  using the 3060
I built a rig for my other friend using a 3080 kr won in the shuffle.
 
I hope to get 1 more card the 3090 ftw3 for my second thread ripper rig.
 
So in about 1 year with some luck I will have got 3 cards on the queue 
 
But none from any of the october signups.

My long wait is finally over. The empty waterblock on my desk will be very happy to know it isn't neglected anymore. Godspeed to everyone else.

Agree with your thoughts here.  That poll thread is a sure sign that new queues are coming and EVGA is looking for a way to provide the best path forward that pleases the masses.  
 
My 2 cents on new queues.
 
Thought 1: What if they opened the queues as all new, without any strings attached to the launch queues from Oct-Dec 2020?  If some people have not been lucky and/or are waiting for just that one or a few specific SKUs, then yeah, it's a tough break.  But with the new queues come new opportunities.  These people could be in the first wave.  It can happen.  Pro tip: don't only queue for the cheap card.  In fact, queue for the FTW first.  Avoid anything ending in a 1 or a 3.  SKUs ending in the number 5 are somewhat acceptable, but also experience dead ends.  7 is golden.
 
Thought 2:  What if they DID offer people not already notified for SKUs X, Y, Z a place in the front of the line?  Let's say that people can be placed in front of any new queue line they wish (maybe one queue, give up all of your old ones.  A Golden Queue Token)?  How would that work?  Do we think that these cards will find homes in PCs right away, or will we see dozens of them listed on ebay right away?  How do they know that all of these people in line are truly deserving people who did not find a single GPU near their performance target since October of 2020?  That they don't just intend to resell?  They can't know... it is the consumer's right to do whatever they want with their product... unless that consumer is buying a software/music license or similar product.  What will the people say who are pushed behind the first-in-liners?  What about the people who want to buy a Super and feel they should have a fair shot at line placement from the word go, not behind the ancient queuers?
 
Thought 3:  Expanding on Thought 2.  What if EVGA leases the cards to you?  You can't sell it.  Problem solved?  I bet it would dramatically reduce demand.  It could also be profitable for EVGA.
               ^staypuft computers, inc. reserves all rights to GPU leasing ideas and retains intellectual property to the idea and a cut of profits.  LOL.
