Congrats to all and our enigmic friend for their notifications.
All this “games of our ute” talk (oh my gosh, Lemmings!?!?. Its incessant music is burnt in my memory) reminded me I’d like to play “Monkey Island” series with my kids!
Edit: Looks like the whole series is on Steam. Hmmmm…

Why would I want to do it? People are plenty happy with enewt's summary reports, see all the people thanking him and using his Associate Code? Side note: enewt has more EVGA bucks than he knows what to to with, he has gotten well over $10K in EVGA Bucks. People need to learn to spread the wealth around, one person does not need their Associate Code used that many times.

Who cares how much he's received, the guy seems genuine, has good things to say ALWAYS, and fosters a great sense of community here. I'm not really understanding your comment, has the guy wronged you in some sort of way to warrant that type of response? I mean, I will probably not use his code, but not for the reasons you give, which BTW make you seem very angry and selfish.

There are people on here that keep this forum under control and they don't get paid by EVGA to do it. There is no limelight for them, but without them this place would be a total mess. Why not thank them with using their Associate Code? rjohnson11's Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF Sajin's Associate Code: YWPPNQVUK9IATL9 XrayMan's Associate Code: VHKH33QN4W77V6A Cool GTX's Associate Code: QR2IBEVA7LMCRCU Hoggle's Associate Code: 97A7E89A6R1N2LI the_Scarlet_one does not have an Associate Code.

kram36, I'm going to give you an advice and you can use it in everything in life. Instead of going after who's on top or doing good, ask yourself why they are on top and how can I get there? and I think I got the answer for enewt. You had me head to Steam looking for Lemmings only to realize that you meant the Monkey Island series (which is also fantastic). We need a quality independent studio to remake Lemmings...that would scratch a very itchy itch. To this morning's conversation, please use whatever code you want to use (the EVGA moderators are great choices by the way), but please use a code for your discount. And to those that have used my code, I really appreciate it. Thank you! In other news, after spending some considerable time with Back 4 Blood at my brother's house last night -- well technically his backyard (covid and all that) -- I can honestly say that it will be a day one purchase for me on the later to occur of (a) its release date and (b) the date I get my rig stood up (I just hope folks are still playing it by then). My review: it is more of the same of L4D2 (with some minor innovation). They still need to work out the card system a little bit and polish how the gun attachments work, but I've been waiting to get my Zombie Apocalypse Crew (ZAC for short) back together again and B4B appears good enough to do it. (I haven't had a system for WWZ, but I hear it is also pretty decent.) Anybody else in the beta have thoughts on it?

I don't want to be on top, never did. I'm simply saying spread the wealth around. There are plenty of forum members that deserve to have their Associate Code used. People that have been on the forums for a long time helping other members solve issues. Take a look at the amount Blue Ribbons a member has. Those Blue Ribbons are for helping members and EVGA solve issues. I think the most overlooked members on here are the moderators. I listed the most active mods on the forum that day in and day out give up their free time for no pay to keep this place nice, show them some appreciation.

Too funny. I am sitting here contemplating finding a Gamestop this weekend to buy a Roblox Bucks card as a birthday gift for my daughter. My local GS location shut down during the lockdown and I honestly have no idea where an open GS is these days...unheard of for me. On a somewhat related topic, what do folks do with their old gaming consoles. I was able to pick up a Series X and so I wiped my Xbox One and was going to resell it to GS. Do you keep old consoles (for posterity, collectors, etc.) or do you sell them back? I realize this question is coming on the backend of an Apple ][ conversation from yesterday (when I bemoaned ever getting rid of my old gaming platform). I just view consoles as "less than" I guess.

Haha, I totally looked down on consoles since ever, My Dad was an Engineer, so I grew up with a PC in the house , My first games I had to load\ type in Basic. lol. last PC build was an Athlon about 97. I bought a PS3 and a PS4 and mostly used them to play blue ray DVDs, I raced in the Old Papyrus NROS and Hawaii days and the consoles 10 years later still lagged behind the old PCs back in the day . I fear the games we like getting dumbed down for consoles , most recently MSFS2020, The Cyberpunk one was a complete disaster. but what can you do

I looked down on consoles too. My first, second, ... fifth gaming devices were all PCs over the years. Despite gaming as early as 1982 or so, I didn't buy my first console until 1994 and that was only because I couldn't afford to upgrade my computer. Then I bought the original Xbox. Fond memories of playing Co-op Halo with one of my brothers over the course of one weekend (we couldn't turn the console off because we didn't have a memory stick to save the game as I recall). But I've always been a PC gamer at my roots. My Series X is acting more like a platform for tv.youtube.com (for my television needs) than it is as a gaming device right now, although Microsoft Game Pass is allowing me to try out a great number of games that I would otherwise not have discovered (at some point, we should discuss the future of gaming and subscriptions, but that is a derail on top of a derail on top of a derail at this point). Regarding racing, I've watched the racing genre constrict considerably. On the arcade racing front, NFS used to dominate. Than Forza Horizon ate EA's breakfast, lunch and dinner. EA's acquisition of Codemasters (I think they WAY overpaid) will be an interesting development in the casual-sim category, but iracing is still the granddaddy of them all. Consoles are great for a lot of games (sports games and twin-stick action/shooters, primarily, in my opinion), but they are limited by the need to be a stable platform for 5 to 7 years of game development (this has changed a little as consoles have moved toward the cell-phone replacement cycle of every 2 to 3 years or so, with backward compatibility (e.g., PS4, PS4 Pro, etc.), but developers still need to cut a lot of corners to make it all work on a console (they make up for it by not having to address multiple graphics cards/cpu/memory manufacturers, models, driver version, etc.). And, yes, I heard Cyberpunk was a DISASTER. Hopefully The Ascent has treated that theme better on consoles.

I had an Atari 2600 with Defender, not as good as the arcade version but it was ok. I sold it and bought a Vic 20, bought a C64 after that and still have it in the attic in working condition with games. have a great weekend folks.

Okay So I decided to buy the bundle from Antonline.com I got 1x evga 3090 3987 I got 1x evga mouse I got 1x evga keyboard I got 1x amd 5800x cpu I went to register the evga gpu So I punch in serial # 211413xxxxxxxxx it says cool and it is registered but either I glitched or a data entry person at evga glitched as the card is a evga 3090 24g-p5-3987-kr and it is registered as an evga 3080 10g-p5-3897-kr So I try to edit errors and of course you can not. So I would like to know best contact email to fix error and correct the model to the 3090 24g-3987-kr I purchased on July 21 Not sure is I transposed and made the error or it evga data entry did it but 3987-kr was flipped to 3897-kr Really nice card. So good that when Antonline did the bundle on august 3rd I got it again. the second bundle was 1x 3090 3987 model 1x k15 keyboard 1x z15 mouse. I am taking my name off most of my queue

First World Problem: When to call it quits and be "satisfied?" Back in December, I figured out there were no meaningful upgrades to my i7-4790/GTX745 system; thus it was time to build a new one. Looking at GPUs, it seemed like a 3060ti FE @ $399 was a good option; tho' spending "that much" (laughing in retrospect) on a GPU, seemed like a luxary <context>[These days, I'm not a gamer trying to push FPS, but do a fair amount of video editing and run some CUDA code]</context>. If at that point, I'd picked up a 3060ti @ $399, I would have felt slightly guilty but would never have looked back... But, alas, as we all know the GPU market would not allow for such a thing. Like most people on this forum, I got in the queues ~ first for the card I wanted, then for whatever cards seemed semi-reasonable, then the new drops, to eventually pretty much every queue out there... In early February I managed to get hold of a 1050ti (as a temporary upgrade to the 745), and then a 1660 Super (which the old PSU could not handle, and not a good "centerpiece" for a new system); along the way I decided I "needed" a Z590 FTW board and an i7-11700K, and by the time I finally had those in hand I had lucked out and picked up a 3060 XC3 (I got a queue slot at ~17 minutes on opening day). However, the card did not excite me. I got the in 3080 ti queues too late on opening day (I went back to bed and then finally got slots at ~3-3.5 hours); then for 3070 ti opening day I stuck it out, hit F5 hard, and lucked out with a queue slot at ~8 minutes for the FTW3. Hence, after 6-7 months of battling it out, obsessing over specs and queue positions, I finally have a Z590 FTW / i7-11700K / 3070ti FTW3 system (and, yeah, even with enewt's associate code and a 10% wheel-spin discount, the GPU was "slightly" more than $399.) "...and after unloading the unwanted 'extra' cards picked up along the way, happiness settled on the land, forever. The End." <effect>Screeching "rewind" sound.</effect>
Hold your horses there, cowboy! How about the next sequel "GPU Boogaloo 36: The 3080 ti Queue Strikes Back"?!? After all that hunting, F5'ing, and waiting... being "done" just feels... strange? empty? ...and maybe I "need" that 3080ti? (Forget about the 3080 queue, given my queue position I'm more likely to pick up the 4080 or 5080). Does anyone else (still hanging in there on page 1639 of this thread) suffer from "feature creep," where the original card you "needed" no longer seems "enough" and/or is addicted to queueing for cards? It's strange world... <teal'c>indeed</teal'c>.

Yup, I can identify with that, I got myself a 3060 12gb (non evga) as my loyal 1070 was slowly dying and I initially removed my notify's because it's a great card, runs quite and cool no matter what I throw at it. But along came the RTX 3070 Ti FTW3 ULTRA GAMING and I had a go at the F5 battle and got a pretty ok'ish time and I might see it before years end. But now I've seen the 3080ti drop in price on ebay etc and I find my self going hmmmm...ya I can justify that price, yup...I can....really😁 I built my new dream system this year in a view 51 ARGB case and used a z590 board with an i9 10850 lga 1200 with 32gb of rgb ram, 850 gold psu, the 3060 and a few ssd's. And soooo fitting a 3070 or a 3080 is not a problem. The real question is will I fit the 3070ti when i get it or join another queue (step-up) and go for a 3080. I can give up anytime I want, really It's not a problem...I can, honestly 😁 Forgot to mention I'm enjoying a very nice French Red and TBH I do like these posts at the weekend. I hope you all have a really good weekend. AlreadyTaken14Times Does anyone else (still hanging in there on page 1639 of this thread) suffer from "feature creep," where the original card you "needed" no longer seems "enough" and/or is addicted to queueing for cards? It's strange world...

All I wanted was a 3080, in a KPE now
I think more so alot of people had to settle one way or another. Nobody got what they actually wanted at first and had to settle for now until they got what they ultimately wanted. If you're spending anywhere near 1k+ for a GPU, you should definitely get exactly what you want.
