I had SLI 1070 FTWs, which I bought about a year apart. The first card had Samsung VRAM, and was an absolute monster, OC great. I loved it so much I figured 2 would be awesome. I bought the 2nd one and it had Micron memory, it wasn't a complete dud, but it was nowhere near the first card. These things unfortunately happen, and it's why the luck factor can be soooo frustrating with these cards. The right silicon lottery chip, the right manufacturing run/components used, the right serial numbers can be a large difference above stock.

There are probably a large amount of "loyal customers" in the queues who are doing this. Once someone purchases a card, e.g., BB, Amazon, Newegg, or here, they are free to do what they want with it. Scalpers have been around, in one form or another, since humans have been walking the earth and they are not going away because some people have the "I got to get this no matter what" attitude.
I don't know what you expect EVGA or any company to do about it.
Wrong , those sellers are not scalpers selling one or two cards. They are selling 15 or more, which is only possible if they buy directly from a retailer or manufacturer.

They present themselves as a retailer in that YouTube video. If that’s true, then it’s more accurate to call them price gougers. Lots of stuttering and stammering in that video as they jump through all the mental hoops to justify their actions to their intended audience. Either way, it’s not an ethical way to run a business, and I’d steer clear of them moving forward.

Now that I am # 10 on the kingpin hybrid list I will most likely win the newegg shuffle today for the msi 3090 suprim it is a lot more pricey 2379 + tax
the kingpin is 2089 -3% = 2019 + tax I think if I win the shuffle I will pass and hope for the kingpin to come this week.

That is a little embarrassing. For 2 months I've been sitting at my computer on amd website f5ing my life away and it took about 30 seconds to get the cpu at amazon for the exact same price. I'm blaming this on my being old, not stupid.

Haha, I tried for a while too and I found that the AMD site has some flaws that people have exploited making it near impossible for a regular person to get one. I got sick of it and headed over to eBay and paid $600 for one... then they started showing up at MSRP at retailers, so I'll feign the same excuse.
