I no longer discuss KL vs KR as I will only be buying KR 3090 cards as They will be the best long run value to own.
But I am looking forward to the kingpin hybrid I am # 26 on the list
It would be nice to see a big move this week and I can stop posting about it.
Considering the limited lifespan ETH has as GPU minable crypto... I don't see it mattering in the long run, or even in the near future. I honestly think people getting hung up in the KR vs. KL debate are being pedantic, they had intentions of mining ETH right now or they intended to scalp them to miners. But it doesn't really matter since ETH 2.0 is on the horizon. And if they keep pushing it back, ASIC's will come in and push GPUs out of the market anyways.
Bravo, someone that knows what they are talking about.

Has it really been over a month since the 3080ti hybrids and HC queues last moved? Have they moved at all since launch day; even just a little bit?
My 3967 gets high temps and throttles, so I'm willing to wait for a hybrid version if those queues ever move..
Otherwise I don't want to manually modify my 3967 with a hybrid kit unless if I have no other options.

That note has been there a long time. It basically means don't hassle the staff with queue position questions.

After watching a few videos and sweating profusely when taking the card apart, I was able to install the hybrid and it even laughs at Cyberpunk 2077 with everything turned all the way up. I would suggest don't do it unless you are very, very careful and not accident prone.

Looking at your signature, you're not in queue for a 3090, do you really want one? That is a big chunk of cash to drop for a video card. The 3080 Ti FTW3 you're in queue for is 3 weeks to a month out on getting to your queue spot if EVGA keeps up the current pace on that card.

Thank you for the talk through, even though I have been itching to replace my 1080 TI, it would make a lot more price VS performance since to wait on the queue.
GTX 1080 Ti is still a decent card. I would hold out for the RTX 3080 Ti if it was me. The GTX 1080 Ti will go down in history as one of the greatest cards of all time.

Thanks guys; in that case, I might just have to risk it and get a hybrid kit if those queues aren't going to move anytime soon. Would rather have the first hybrid kit I install be on a less-expensive GPU that wasn't so difficult to obtain, but oh well..

Take my advice; decide only once you've actually secured a card 😅. I think setting up a whole custom loop could be a nice project, if you're into that. If you don't have any of the parts though, it's obviously going to be more expensive, like about $500 on top of the card price.

Getting the job done for 500$ or less sounds crazy to me. I wish!
So I'm back, secured a Hydro Copper card  . And I can definitely vouch that this extra venture has ended up costing me upwards of $625 USD for a liquid cooled setup using borosilicate glass tubing. Though this amount is still subject to increase, especially if I've missed any parts or if I damage the glass tubing. Pretty nervous and excited for the next steps.

24 hours is a long time when you consider drops dont happen everyday and when they do, they move a few mins to 10 mins at most. I wouldnt expect it for a few months tbh
