I notice here in the EU we have no 3080Ti's on auto notify yet the US has 6 to choose from and I am guessing it going to be pretty much the same for the 3090 series (US - 8, EU _ 1) so can I use the US site instead of the EU site to sign up?

Short answer = No. Long answer = You have to pay with US based payment method, have a US address listed on your account, ship to a US address that is not a known reshipper, and I think the order has to come from a NA IP address (not sure on that one.) So, yes, you can, but good luck getting it.

You need a friend or relative in the states. Have them sign up and pay for it have it shipped to them in the states and then ship it to you. The truth is that the EU queue will hardly see drops, we should not fool ourselves. First, EVGA will serve its own (domestic) customers, and even that is proceeding extremely slowly. On the other hand, the offers here are not very attractive either, do the math! At the moment, you can get an RTX3070ti (Inno3D, Zotac, MSI) from (still expensive) 800EUR including taxes at local retailers in the EU. If you take the higher priced EVGA models (08G-P5-3785-KL or 08G-P5-3797-KL), and only those are served for obvious reasons, you easily get into this range with overseas shipping and 17-22% tax! So if you find any 3070ti around less than 800EUR, consider it. Ethereum seems to be recovering right now and with that, the whole fuss will probably drag on into the fall. I expect prices to continue to fall, but probably slower than we would like. Even if Ethereum weakens, all companies involved in the supply chain would be foolish to lower their profits too quickly when customers are hungry for new hardware ... even the price of the old RTX 2080ti was already an outrage. And the customers still paid. Apparently, the manufacturers and vendors hope for the habituation effect of the customer having to pay more than 1000 bucks for a top graphics card. You are apparently supposed to feel in your wallet that you are buying luxury items! The times of a "cheap" 980ti or 1080ti are over... By the way, it looks even sadder for the low-end cards. You can still hardly get anything for less than 350EUR. You can really feel sorry for the "common" households that are now looking for a cheap GTX1660, RX590 or 5500XT for the school vacations. For us NERDS, for whom a 3070 is too slow, there is probably less compassion ;)

that's my biggest fear, the queue advancing just a couple of hours and then dropping dead, my only hope is the fact that the price/ratio sucks for this card, meaning less people on the queue.

I kinda regret being a brand snob on the release of the RTX 3080, I had the chance to purchase a MSI, but I hate the company so I passed not knowing that there was going to be a huge stock issue. Now I wait in the queue since October of last year..lol

So I purchased as 6800 XT from Micro Center last week and finally installed it this weekend, it was DOA unfortunately. I contacted Micro Center about it via chat and my local store reached out to me and told me they could give me an EVGA 3080 Ti FTW as a replacement and I would just pay the difference. Needless to say I took it and I'm officially done with the hunt! BTW the card is a beast, currently playing Days Gone @ 4k and getting an avg of 100fps which is about 10-15% better than the founders 3080 Ti. Definitely worth the wait!

Back in the day I used Radeon cards exclusively, but after 3 builds and every time having to send the card back for RMA and skyrim came out and they had driver issues couldn't even play the game. I said enough is enough and switched over to nvidia, never looked back.

There are probably a large amount of "loyal customers" in the queues who are doing this. Once someone purchases a card, e.g., BB, Amazon, Newegg, or here, they are free to do what they want with it. Scalpers have been around, in one form or another, since humans have been walking the earth and they are not going away because some people have the "I got to get this no matter what" attitude.
I don't know what you expect EVGA or any company to do about it.
Wrong , those sellers are not scalpers selling one or two cards. They are selling 15 or more, which is only possible if they buy directly from a retailer or manufacturer.
