I was ready logged in and open at 5:30, then site locked up for me at 5:56 and could not get back on until 7:36 and 7:44 until it would load a notify, I saw only a few blips a couple of times that only locked with the site full page between 6-7:30 I looked at Team EVGA on twitter and they were well aware of the system getting overloaded .

SirKronan Well, after much F5-ing and a lot more time and effort than expected, here are my notifies: 12G-P5-3969-KR 6/3/2021 8:53:24 AM PT No 12G-P5-3958-KR 6/3/2021 7:58:47 AM PT No 12G-P5-3967-KR 6/3/2021 7:53:10 AM PT No 12G-P5-3968-KR 6/3/2021 7:26:30 AM PT No Not planning to buy all four of them. Anyone see any reviews of comparing compute power between the 3080 Ti and the 3090?
Lots of reviews. About 3-8% slower than the 3090 but perfectly capable for 4K gaming with all the bells and whistles. Only real issue is that it runs HOT, even hotter than the 3090. Definitely recomment getting hybrid kit or waterblock for it.
Dang. I was hoping with HALF the VRAM it would at least run a little cooler ... sad to hear that's not the case! What a disappointment. The only advantage this has over the 3090 would appear to be price, then. But that is a significant advantage, to be sure!
I was on the fence about it until I saw real-time gaming with it. It's a good product, just overpriced to the point that getting the extra 12GB ram on the 3090 is still a good deal. That said, it will play any VR or 4K you want. 80C temps are within spec. A hybrid kit will get that down to 60.

Survival of the fittest/fastest right. I love this action. I appreciate the competition. Can we really expect EVGA to spend a ton of money increasing bandwidth/capacity on their servers to handle this temporary traffic - nope. As far as pricing and supply goes companies that cannot easily increase production capacity use pricing as a tool to counter increased demand. I cannot knock EVGA since they are the only manufacturer who made an effort to serve the USERS.

From what I'm reading (elsewhere, not here) I am getting more confirmation that NOBODY got a time stamp for ANY of the 3080ti's before 7:20am. So, the queue basically starts there, not at 6:00:00. Those of you who were able to get a time stamp before 7:30:00 should be in pretty good shape. Congrats. Expect to see an auto-notify email in the not too distant future. If you got in between 7:30-8:00, expect to get your card before fall. If you got in between 8:00-8:30am, you might get your card before the end of the year. After 8:30am..... Forget about the 3080ti.

Someone here said 7:08 so I would think thats the earliest but yeah I would say that 7:00 is where the queue actually started.

The site crashing was so unexpected. I just went and stepped up my 3080 ftw3 that I got last week to the 3090 ftw3. They use the same waterblock so idc at this point.

Yeah I'm really hoping that all the bots just clogged the site, but didn't actually get any queue reservations.

Oh well, back to waiting for 3897 to move just a few more hours. I really hope they continue producing 3080s at a similar or higher pace as they have been, or else this 3080Ti launch just killed my hopes of getting anything after waiting since September.

You can be an Elite Member without having 100 posts. There are two other ways (previous product purchase/registration and Twitch)

You don't need to have 100 posts to become an "Elite" member. It's just one way to go about it. Unfortunately, there is nothing "elite" about being an elite member. Since the bar has been set so low, anyone with a few minutes to spare can gain elite status very quickly by spamming EVGA forums with one word posts.

Not saying Jacob could have done anything about it but to say they "experienced extremely high traffic" makes it seem like EVGA had no idea the site would get hit that hard. Do people not learn from the past anymore? This should have been fully expected and dealt with prior to launch, Optimizing a site after it crashes is like trying to put Humpty Dumpty back together again ;)

I, personally had no interest in the 3080 TI as I have no way to make good use out of a high end gaming card that has only 12 GB of VRAM at the moment. It would be a lot to pay for something not much more useful to me than a 3060 and less useful than a 3090 (and older cards join the fray.) Anyway, since I was up at around 8:20 am PST, I thought it would cost me nothing to click the notify buttons and whatever may as well. I got some errors, but it was not hard to get through. There was a variety of different errors I got, but once I got the same one from when I tried to sign up for the KP HC, further indicating that that error was not do to hitting submit after the que limit had been hit. Some users have highly suspected the error is related to Chrome, however, to me, there is not enough evidence to conclude that. After all, Edge is a reskinned Chrome. 12G-P5-3968-KR 6/3/2021 8:22:26 AM PT No 12G-P5-3967-KR 6/3/2021 8:22:15 AM PT No 12G-P5-3969-KR 6/3/2021 8:21:47 AM PT No 12G-P5-3958-KR 6/3/2021 8:21:31 AM PT No I thought I got in an two hours and twenty minutes after the que opening, but apparently nobody managed to sign up until 7:30 (unless there were scripts going on the managed to sign up earlier) so, effectively, I got in less than an hour after the que opening. It does not matter, as I likely will not actually purchase any of these; it was just button clicking fun. It's just surprising how little sleeping in mattered, or would have mattered.

How about a paid “Elite plus” membership. Say $1000 a year plus a 20% surcharge on products purchased to be guaranteed an email link for early orders. Would drive out the profits for scalpers, right? /sarcasm

bnr32jason This marking every post as spam crap has to stop. **** is wrong with people? I was already up, grabbed my computer at 5:55 and the EVGA website was already unable to load. Walked away because I knew how it was going to be. Came back around 6:30 and tried again, same deal, 7am same deal. Eventually I got somewhere so the site would load, but it logged me out automatically and then I got an error every time trying to login. There can't possibly have been enough Elite members hammering the site at 6am to kill it for 2+ hours. So was this just people/bots who didn't know any better trying to get into the site to order because they didn't know about the Elite queue? Even with the amount of 100 post Elite Members there's no way that there are enough to take down the site completely.
I just noticed the maring every post as SPAM has stopped! They must have banned who ever was doing it.

You don't have to increase bandwidth to make the process more transparent/smooth. Just set up a waiting room like Ticketmaster did where people who don't get in right away get to watch the walking stick figure while a message flashes that says "there are currently 2000+ people ahead of you". Eventually, that number will start to decrease and you will get in. That way you will at least know that you are in line and you won't have to keep hitting F5 every 60 seconds because it times out.
