pclausen So is there any point in still hitting F5 in the hope that the Auto Notify button returns, or are we done for today?
Nope, as I suspected: https://twitter.com/TEAMEVGA/status/1390337408785256452

tshalev Clicked submit but got a broken form. Auto-notify is gone now. Who would have thought we'd be getting to the point where entering a queue for a $2300 card, available to Elite only, would break the site...
That must mean they're doing what they did with the other HydroCoppers initially AKA they only opened the notify queue for a certain number off people and that was how many cards they had available initially. That's what happened for the 3090 FTW HC & 3080 FTW3 HC.
It's interesting though, I wonder if it means that they aren't even planning on making more. Otherwise, why wouldn't they leave the queue open for people to get them down the road (and honestly, if so many people are willing to buy such a massively overpriced card, why wouldn't they take advantage of it?)

Well I hope one of us wins it... I thought about just not mentioning that, but I'd rather have one of the folks on here win if not me, than just keep quiet about it.

Did you sign up for the 3998 by any chance? Going through the Elite site only ever takes me to the 3998 page, even right before the launch.

No they did the same thing for the other two and opened them back up later. Only allowing queue for what they had available actually makes sense from an initial perspective. Otherwise the queue would be so flooded by the end of today that non-elite people would have zero chance of ever getting one because they'll probably only make like 1k or 2k of these cards, total, for the life of the GPU's cycle.

Yeah, I went in to check the notify again and noticed its actually a 3998. My apologies for the confusion. Tried to be so quick that I didn't even noticed it. I edited the other post as well.

Usually it's at least a 2 hour window.

Not exactly a que, is it? That was no different than any other online retail experience buying a graphics card. I thought that I did everything right. I was on the auto-notify page (not the product page, the page you get to with a direct link.). I refreshed repeatedly starting at 9:59 am PT. The auto-notify button suddenly appeared a couple seconds after 10:00 am. Chome auto-filled everything in two clicks. I could click the captcha box without having to click motorcycles or mountains or whatnot. I hit submit the fastest, after I saw the submit button, as I thought humanly possible. Still others were even faster, and I got an error page. It's a zero sum game, and I have no reason to believe I am more deserving of the card than others. (Though, who can click faster is no good way to determine that.) But still, if I fail with little to improve upon, that brings about hopelessness.

From some responses on Twitter, it seems that at least a few people who were right on the dot got an error, whereas some who came in a few seconds later got in. There is some luck involved I suppose. I mean, if mine had gone through I also would have been around 5 seconds in, and clearly there are people with a timestamp later than that.

One thing I've learned with these queue launches is you need to hard refresh the queue page each time you reload the page or you might load a cached version of the page without the auto-notify button or the "submit" button; depending on how you are doing it...for the ftw3 hydrocopper launch, I just kept pressing F5 over and over again for 15 seconds after the auto-notify button was launched...then I hit ctrl F5 and it immediately popped up
