For me it’s 9/22/2020 10:56:30, so I’m pretty excited about this, but then again, I don’t expect to see this again. Would be splendid to finally get some meaningful(1hr+) drops! Maybe i’ll be able to get a 3897 w/ pre-tariff pricing - exciting! I hope that we can go back to the larger drops, like 3-5 hours a day, but I’m not sure if that’s asking too much. I’ll keep my hopes down in the meantime - it’s been preventing me from getting disappointed.

TBH, I kinda wish evga would stop giving cards to LTT’s “verified actual gamer” marketing ploy. It would have meant more cards for the queue. The retailers I can understand due to contracts, but a new retailer? Really? I would have been fine with it if we got like 3 hours a day, but we get minutes as drops. I’m kinda annoyed because I’ve been waiting for months and I have a glorious 10900K waiting for it. For anyone about to shun me for choosing intel - don’t. I have the option to choose which manufacturer I want without being shunned for not choosing the popular route.

My understanding was that the launch day had the most signups, with the queue announcement date next. So that would mean that I’m in that little “rut” with a smaller amount of signups, which is why I’m hoping for drops to cover a larger time span - that sound right?

Congrats to everyone that got cards today! So happy to see an awesome Queuesday Tuesday! Patience paid off for so many.
And I want to make special note that this big drop today was supposed to be more expensive for all the buyers (and the probably still would have ordered), but EVGA pushed out their price hike date AGAIN just to take care of us queued folk. No, I don't work for EVGA, but I would be proud to any day of the week. They are the bomb dot com.

Woot, love seeing movement on the SKUs with a good batch this time around. Especially the 3070 XC3 gaming. Even the 3070 Black got a little love too, and I'm happy for all our 3060 and 3080 people who got their notifies too. At this rate, I'll hopefully have mine in the email box by the end of the Gregorian year. I know it's an optimistic thing, but I would love to have my computer built and ready for Final Fantasy 14's new expansion, Endwalker, when it launches. Until then, I'll be working on my old school lappy and typing up my superhero stories.
Also, while I am trying to get elite, I'm doing it organically. No canned spam from me. :D
Be and Do in equal measure. Yes, that includes being patient on getting the new computer rig completed. Independent superheroines ftw! I can't afford a 3080ti, so I may eye the 3070ti if the rumors are true, but that's iffy. I have a set amount of funds set aside for a 3070 (including tax and shipping) and I can't go over it. It sucks being on a fixed income with your job on the computer (yes, writing is considered computer-assisted to most nowadays).

Try out camping microcenter if you can - I’ve heard from friends that they’ve had multiple opportunities to get a 3070 by camping out there. If you can’t, then I hope you aren’t stuck in the queue for an eternity! Edit: I just realized you and me are somewhat likely to be in the same microcenter area - Houston or Dallas, so that’s cool.

Nothing wrong with that. I was an AMD guy for years. I had the Athlon FX-51 (the very first FX series CPU), a dual FX-73 setup, an FX-8350, and several non-FX models over the years. I made the switch to Intel a few years ago and I have no regrets. I may have fewer cores but performance has been more than sufficient for my needs, overclocking has worked amazingly well, and I haven't run into any weird issues with memory compatibility like I did with AMD. Go with what you like and don't worry about what other people might think.
