Can I just say, this CPU block, now that it works (sort of, I'm ordering an EK connect controller to hopefully get it fully working & controllable) looks dope af?
That's just it's default lighting pattern (rainbow wave I think). Also pretty happy with clear fluid, think I'm going to stick with it.
Good luck on the drops today folks... hoping we hear something, finally, about Hydro-copper blocks being sold separately for sure soon, I want one for me card :-P Not because I "need it" but because I can. :-D
I have the AMD and Intel versions of the Master. Probably one of the best motherboard lines. I have been using a splitter/adapter for the RBG on mine. That 15 dollars doesn't do a lot for shipping, when they have to confirm an order, package it up, and send it out. Individually, maybe not. But they don't move one card at a time. Move a couple hundred cards and it's three grand. Move five hundred cards and it's $7,500. Printing five hundred labels isn't harder than printing one label (especially when a computer has the database of names/addresses) and grabbing 500 boxes and packing them is a lot more efficient than packing one box. I don't think they're hurting on that fifteen dollar number.

So walmart, and walmart doesn't play a role here, but they demand like 15% price leadership. Bestbuy and Amazon probably do something similar. Newegg, not as much it seems. It's probably why newegg does their shuffle, they have to garner better goodwill than the mega giants. I don't know enough about Micro Center, there isn't one close to me. If it was way more profitable to do direct sales, evga would do them vs. the what seems like 10-20% range. Sure, maybe they agreed to some contracts a long time ago, but they're still a for-profit business. It's not sustainable in the long-run to go it solo on direct ships.

Direct sales are more profitable if they do not have to advertise and market the cards. If I were EVGA I would go that way though.

So they would have to retool to store all the inventory and hope sales were good that week, etc. In that case, it's easier/better to have established vendors who you know are just going to buy your stuff, get it out of your building and now it's their problem to find individual customers to buy it. It's worth selling a bunch of stuff wholesale in this instance. Right now, we're in exceptional circumstances where there's no such thing as GPU inventory sitting around. Right now, it would be in EVGA's best short-term interest to sell all their cards direct for full retail value. Right now, shipping is no limitation -- no one is going to say "What? $30 shipping? Forget that, I'm not buying this 3070 after all!" and a 3070 starts collecting dust. But that's not a good long term plan because one day EVGA will need their vendor partners when GPUs don't sell in 0.001 seconds and they also need someone to sell their other components and NE/BB/MC are going to say "Get bent" if EVGA says "Hey, we're keeping all the GPUs for us so your customers might be a bit mad but here's some Z15 keyboards you can sell instead!"

Agreed. The world got a little crazy. It's good times to be a GPU manufacturer, but maybe not great times to work for a GPU manufacturer. Depending on age and other things. Still, it's why I unabashedly support evga. They give me a sliver of hope. I was not quick enough on the f5 refresh game. Discord stockbot hasn't really helped me. Everything is sold out before I get there that I want.

I apologize for your misinterpretation. Purely Fantasyland. Positive thoughts can't hurt, but do set you up for disappointment. As a former Dolphin fan, I know about disappointment. There is a strong parallel to every Dolphins preseason potential and final results and these cards' release and results.

I'm guessing it will take a minimum of 3 drops to get to my time stamp. Frequency of 3898 drops and how much they have moved the queue tell me that my chances of getting a card before the price increase are slim. Like I said, sliver of hope.

Yeah, I haven't been able to follow all of the backend but that would make sense, especially if that's what MSI has been doing for a while. I also don't resent AIBs for marking up a little, but it adds a new layer to what I'm waiting for: EVGA Notification and Newegg Shuffle w/ what I want becomes EVGA Notification and Newegg Shuffle w/ what I want at a reasonable price, knowing EVGA is still submitting cards to the Shuffle.

If you're wanting to go liquid cooling, jumping on the HydroCopper bright & early will be a great option for you, hopefully we actually get a "warning" before the HydroCopper cards & blocks go live again so folks like myself can get in queue "early" without being "bot" early lol
I don’t have a particular desire to do so, but let’s just say I’m willing to do it if it means I could get “a” card at/near msrp as quickly as I can.. :)
