I missed it today. I am 4 / 9 but I was cheated out of 1 card. Went to buy it with more than 2 hours on the timer and they said no stock. I also did not buy a 5800x cpu. Better luck tomorrow .

Agree with the CHEATED part 100%. If you get picked in the shuffle, they should NOT sell out to YOU. They shouldn't PICK more people than they have cards for. That's high rubbish if I ever saw it! That said, I still haven't got my email yet, one way or another. Does that mean there's still a chance? My guess is no.

Hey Dabadger, I just ran 3DMark for the first time on my rig! xD Might have to get Port Royal later to run some ray tracing benchmarks, but what is considered a good score? I've only run Time Spy so far but I feel like the ranking is higher than I expected.

TBH I've only run Time Spy a handful of times since I had the 3080. If you're above average for your setup, you're doing well - the chart on the left at the end result screen - because most people have OCed their cards just for the benchmark so "average" is actually higher than "average" would be otherwise, regardless of if it's a 3090 or 3080.

I have been unable to do so as well. I can't figure it out. Also, I finally got my bad news email from Newegg. I didn't get selected this time. Currently 0/4 on the Newegg shuffle.

Hmmm...it feels like the members of the EVGA "order notify" department are all too busy playing Valheim to send out "invite to purchase" emails. We eventually got word that there were drops to four queues today, but based on the almost non-existent reports, I posit that it was a straggler day across the board. While I run back to collect my corpse from where the troll "one-shotted" me with a tree trunk (I will not blame my 15-fps Alienware laptop), please prepare yourself for your gpu search tomorrow: - Water? Check. - Popcorn for reading snarky posts and general thread dust-ups? Check. - (For those in the polar vortex) typing gloves and long underwear? Check. - (Deleted for Foul Language) Check. Good. Best of luck tomorrow. As of 6:15 pm PT Tuesday evening, February 16, this is the status of the North American queues ( bolded font represents movement from the morning of Tuesday, February 16; italicized parentheticals calculate the length of movement from the prior report): Card SKU Auto-Notify Timestamp / (Change from Previous Summary) Ultra3090 FTW3 Ultra 3987 10/12/2020 18 :51:55 3090 XC3 Ultra 3975 10/05/2020 20:52:00 3080 FTW3 Ultra 3897 09/19/2020 06:45:06 (00:45:03) 3080 XC3 Ultra 3885 09/18/2020 08:26:34 3070 FTW3 Ultra 3767 10/29/2020 23:19:35 (00:00:02) 3070 XC3 Ultra 3755 11/04/2020 12:04:18 3060 Ti FTW3 Ultra 3667 12/01/2020 07:14:12 Gaming3090 FTW3 Gaming 3985 09/24/2020 16:12:06 3090 XC3 Gaming 3973 09/24/2020 00:00:00 3080 FTW3 Gaming 3895 09/16/2020 00:00:00 3080 XC3 Gaming 3883 09/16/2020 11:01:20 3070 XC3 Gaming 3753 10/29/2020 00:00:00 3060 Ti FTW3 Gaming 3665 12/08/2020 14:51:32 (00:01:26) 3060 Ti XC3 Gaming 3663 12/01/2020 07:16:00 Black3090 XC3 Black 3971 09/24/2020 00:00:00 3080 XC3 Black 3881 09/16/2020 15:14:00 3070 XC3 Black 3751 10/29/2020 06:15:13 Hybrid 3090 FTW3 Ultra Hybrid 3988 12/10/2020 09:42:26 3090 XC3 Ultra Hybrid 3978 12/08/2020 14:19:07 3080 FTW3 Ultra Hybrid 3898 12/16/ 2020 09:04:29 3080 XC3 Ultra Hybrid 3888 12/10/2020 09:08:56 Hydro Copper (Delayed)3090 FTW 3 Ultra HC 3989 11/13/2020 00:00:00 3090 XC3 Ultra HC 3979 11/13/2020 00:00:00 3080 FTW3 Ultra HC 3899 11/13/2020 00:00:00 3080 XC3 Ultra HC 3889 11/13/2020 00:00:00 K|NGP|N (Queue sheet) 3998 12/16/2020 18:30:20 May your remaining wait be shorter than you anticipate; it is already longer than you deserve. Let's use the 3975 at $1700 as an example since that SKU is actually moving. When you add 7.5% sales tax + the 5% seller fee on FB marketplace, you're in it for almost $1930 of that $2000 which is basically cost. A margin like that on 2k is the scalper equivalent of dumpster diving, so it's more likely someone just looking to get their money back, or it's a fake ad. FB marketplace has it's fair share of those. It also doesn't have the buyer protections that eBay has. I would be weary of dropping that much cash there.

So, at this point, are we all agreed that the reason for the shortages are due to the miners and not the botters? If that's the case shall we offer our sympathies to the botters who also cannot cop video cards? Or should we be buying stock in nVidia cuz they're selling so many cards? This is all so upsetting, I'm thinking about returning all the unused parts for my new 3080 build.

I dont think any1 who actually understands the situation is blaming any1 but Nvidia. Everyone else is just looking for a quick scapegoat.

dcell So, at this point, are we all agreed that the reason for the shortages are due to the miners and not the botters? If that's the case shall we offer our sympathies to the botters who also cannot cop video cards? Or should we be buying stock in nVidia cuz they're selling so many cards? This is all so upsetting, I'm thinking about returning all the unused parts for my new 3080 build.
I dont think any1 who actually understands the situation is blaming any1 but Nvidia. Everyone else is just looking for a quick scapegoat.
And why is it Nvidia's fault? They told everyone that it was going to be this way into Q2 2021. They can't make chips fast enough to keep up with demand, it's as simple as that. You can't just ramp up production with the turn of a knob. Materials have to be sourced and some of them are not super easy to acquire. On the consumer side, there is unprecedented demand that did not exist even 10 years ago. Miners. Commercial entities. A growing middle class in SE Asia that is also clamoring for these cards. The marketplace is becoming more crowded. The US needs to start producing it's own domestic supply of 5nm chips for a number of reasons, strategic and otherwise. The good news is that TSMC is currently building a factory in AZ that will be up and running in about three years. The bad news is the three years part. And here is the other part that sucks for us end users. Let's be real here, if a miner approaches Nvidia and asks for 100 3090's, and you want one 3090, who do you think Nvidia is going to listen to first? The miner who wants 100 cards is paying the same unit price that you are. No way in **** is anyone getting a volume discount right now. And the fact that Nvidia has no competition at the moment doesn't make our quest for a new card any easier. Oh well, money talks..... BS walks. At least for now. We will all be laughing about this come August and this tiny violin of a thread will be archived for all to see.

coldrain85 Alright, here comes the massive 3897 drop that advances the queue 12 hours. No?
I sure hope so. I'm signed up for EIGHTEEN (18!) EVGA cards in their queue, several of which were on launch day or the day after. I have yet to receive a single yes, and it's quite disheartening.

Enewt, how do you calculate the delta in time? Is there a reference you are using? Like do you know how many people are between the current position and 9/22/20 at noon for the 3885 or 3897? Thanks! enewt

I blame all of them. lol Scalpers for making the situation worse, miners for making the situation worse (and both of them for making supply lower & demand higher), and NVidia for not producing a proper amount of cards before launch due to a rushed launch, not anticipating the demand, and further FUBARing it by not ramping production before launch either. Let us not forget, NVidia said they were ramping up production in August - this is something that "normally" happens THREE MONTHS before a new GPU architecture is released. They did this on purpose because they were either too stupid, or too clueless to figure out what most of us knew was coming, unprecedented demand due to a combination of factors (everyone being home because of the pandemic, the performance making cards like the 3080 very desirable for the price, etc etc). At the end of the day, there's plenty of blame to go around, and since science shows most people aren't happy unless they have something to complain about, step right up, take your pick and NOMNOMNOM that irritation. Good luck tomorrow everyone, I'm gonna shut down & see if my back is in a good enough mood for me to operate & get those thermal pads under the backplate & test'er out.

I still hold to my conspiracy theory that MSI is sending Nvidia extra monies to get more chips than EVGA.
