Anybody have any information on the Step Up queue to the 3080? I just entered the queue yesterday, so I'm sure I have a loooooooooooong way to go.

ftb28064212 You've gotten more 30 series cards than anyone else on here, that I'm aware of. It seems money isn't really an issue, so you might as well go for it. Just do yourself a favor and figure out a way to clean up the weird fan configurations and up your cable management game. You've got a great case and awesome hardware, so you should do it justice by taking the time to do proper mounting and cable management.
There's several forum members that are in to mining and/or Folding that have definitely gotten more cards than I have from the queue system & other sources. And I really don't get why that is such a sticking point for some people - I waited in queue just like everyone else, ain't my fault I got in to queue for the 3080 FTW3 Ultra at o-dark 30 on launch day because I wanted one (and didn't get it until mid October despite being "in queue" for it since launch day) and then later adopted a full "yolo" perspective for "not being able to take money with ya when ya die" and went the 3090 Kingpin route. Life is way too short to be salty & complaining all the time, live the best ya can (Note: I am NOT saying you are salty or complaining all the time, that is a general statement & not directed at you, or anyone else in particular, for that matter - just a simple statement that I have learned is a good thing to live by in the last year and a half of ridiculousness the entire Earth is dealing with right now). Edit: I'm also not saying you don't have a right to be irritated at this whole situation, because it does indeed suck completely. There is no reason why anyone should still be having to wait in line for a GPU almost SIX MONTHS after it's initial release. Insanity. As far as "weird fan configuration" the current setup is temporary, and if I cared about cable management it would be cleaner, if you think it looks bad up in the front you should see the back It's actually a LOT cleaner than it was, and it'll be cleaner once I get the loop in, which is supposed to arrive somewhere around February 19th... all the way from EK in the EU so hopefully it arrives intact O_o For those interested: https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-quantum-power-kit-d-rgb-p360 I pieced together the loop "separately" just to see how much the kit is "saving you" and I got to over $600 in parts without the little do-dads they include - so the kit is definitely a "deal" in comparison... and most of them are quality parts that come pretty well recommended, I.E. the D5 pump, the block & EK radiators in general.
I think you are reading this different than me. He's congratulating you for your "luck" or jumping on this faster than some of us. Just also saying you need to fix your build out. And you're kind of flush with cash. Not trolling you for buying what you buy.
some may be annoyed cause it comes off as 'flexing'. I don't mind it personally, I just scroll by.
That's fair. I have a daughter who is going to be four soon. She wants a Starla monster machine. That is selling for like 90 on ebay. I ain't buying that for 90. It's four bucks if you can find it in a store. Or any gpu from a secondary reseller is doubled or higher sometimes. I don't think it's flexing to be salty about the secondary market these days. It's just frustration about scalpers. And those people scalping probably lost their jobs and see it as a way to make some money. So I cannot hate them them over that. I just cannot support it.

Okay moved 5 minutes on my 3060ti 3667 12/01/2020 now at 07:14:12. I am at 12/01/2020 9:30:12 and this 3060ti moved 52 minutes 3665 12/08/2020. 14:50:06 I am at 12/22/2020 7:02:24 pm but 55 minutes is a lot of movement I wonder if the 3665 comes faster than the 3667 So far all cards I purchased were newegg shuffle and too much $$ I found a decent omen build for about 1380 with a 3070. I may buy it with a 512gb western digital black nvme.2 and add ram and a 4gb hdd . I had an omen from 2018 with 2 1080ti's in it that was a nice piece of gear.

They may be better now, but last time I had an HP pre-built, the motherboard bios was so locked down and crappy that it was hard to upgrade. I don't think I will ever go with a HP/Dell MoBo again.

Is the 3888 dead? I am on pretty much every 30 series notify queue, but got on the 3888 list a month and a half sooner than the others, mainly because I was naive at the point and not just looking for whatever I could get my hands on :(. Two days away from 3888 but feels like a lifetime at this rate.

Recent Linus video (secret shopper) showed that outside of the boutique makers (like Origin) HP Omen was one of the best pre-builts with good expansion and fairly standard hardware.

It definitely feels like a dead queue. I've been 30 seconds away since December.

mikespontak I definitely lucked out on 3060Ti FTW (3665) by getting in early in the queue on 12/8/20, prior to any real announcement. EVGA did not have do this for their customer's and went well beyond what I would have expected. I may be slightly salty because I've been in the 3897 queue since 9/21 and am still far from getting my card.
Not as far as you think. Now that the 3897 is past the first massive bottle neck it will move a lot faster. Hours instead of seconds. A lot more people are flaking too. Straggler drops for that card are getting bigger and we are even seeing second generation straggler drops now. I bet you will get yours before the prices go up in April.
I dunno, EVGA is slowing down the line for 3897 greatly. We have been near the end of the mythical "first bottle neck" and there are no signs of speeding back up. I'd have faith but they seem to be using those chips for the 3898 instead. I have no faith I will get my card before the April price cutoff at this point.
It comes and goes. Before the most recent 3898 drop that queue had not moved in almost 2 weeks, so I get your frustration. The 3897 is speeding up though. We have all seen that queue move in much bigger time intervals than it had been when it was working through the 9/17-18 bottleneck. We have all seen the multi-day straggler drops. So no, it's not mythical. You could see it plain as day on the sheet up until the time it was vandalized. A LOT of people knew about that launch, and basic logic dictates that the queue would be heavily front loaded. The sheet backed it up, both in terms of size and how fast it has been moving. 9/19 still had some activity, but it was nowhere near 9/18, and 9/18 was about 60-70% of 9/17. After 9/19 it really dropped off. So, what I am saying is that 9/20 will probably go by pretty quickly. Those dates are not going to creep along like the first couple of days. You will get your card IF the cards continue to drop at all. That's a big IF and I'm not responsible for it, so there is no need to get salty with me about it. 9/21 is close though. Closer than you think. You will get your card before the April cutoff, even if you're on the wrong end of 9/21.

I wouldn't place any of the customers responsible for getting their card hah. You have to admit though when they have stopped doing the 3897, they are sending out the 3898, which is what makes me bitter. Again, I queued in September, and people in December are getting their card. Bitter because they are basically the same card cept one has that unit attached to it.

Wonder if we could convince EGVA to incorporate those in the 3888 list to the 3898 list. I know it isn't moving that fast either but worth a shot.....maybe I just don't know how it could be done to also be fair to those on the 3898 list. Maybe.. only those "notifies" that don't get fulfilled go to those on the 3888 list? Just thinking out loud. ....

mikespontak I definitely lucked out on 3060Ti FTW (3665) by getting in early in the queue on 12/8/20, prior to any real announcement.
I really find it unbelievable that people STILL keep believing that it will magically start ramping up month after month after month when it keeps either slowing down or standing still.. I seriously do not understand some of you **shrug**. Maybe when it's been another 6 months without any decent movement people will finally stop saying that?
Hey, I don't believe in magical thinking. There is enough transparency in this process thanks to self-reporting to get an idea of what is moving, what isn't moving, and in what increments. I have seen plenty of evidence that the 3897 time stamps are starting to move faster. We have all seen it. Also, it hasn't even been 5 months yet with the 3897, and a lot of people HAVE gotten cards. The first two days of launch is/was a big chunk of that queue. I wonder how many cards were sold to get through the first couple of days. Whatever the number is I'm sure it's a lot. What the US needs is it's own semi-conductor factory that builds 5nm chips. Fortunately it's on the horizon since TSMC is beginning construction on a 12 billion dollar factory in AZ this year. This has been in the works for years and it got final approval last summer. In light of the hostilities with the Chinese Gov, the US is bringing critical tech manufacturing to North America, and more raw materials are being sourced locally. That's good for North America, and South America as well for that matter, because it means a lot less critical technology (and GPU's) will need to be shipped here from a politically unstable part of the world that is heading in the wrong direction at ever increasing speed. It's only a matter of time before China decides to blockade Taiwan. Under the current circumstances, imagine how hard it will be to get your precious GPU if that happens. GPU's not getting into impatient consumer hands fast enough is a small problem when you think about it in those terms. Nvidia also told everyone from day 1 that supply would be limited into Q2 2021, so I seriously do not understand why some of you act so surprised that the queues are crawling **shrug**.

At least I can look forward to getting my new AiO today and getting my new X570 mobo and 5900x installed today. Still needing to get ram though, might have to use some older ram I have for now.
