Bro, really? I thought that they'd have enough at LEAST by the holidays, especially considering the potential profits and the extremely high demand...

I've given up and am trying to find a card through other means. There has been zero movement on the 3895 and I don't expect there to be any before the cutoff for the original price list. I might have a line on an Asus Strix 3080 through a friend that has a preorder in place. Been bumped back twice now so far, but still seems more likely to get that than a card I've been waiting in a queue for about 130 days. It's been over a decade since I've had anything but an EVGA video card in my machines... end of an era unless some miraculous notification pops up in the next couple weeks.

I think people are mad due to this type of seller on ebay.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/EVGA-GeForce-RTX-3070-XC3-ULTRA-GAMING-8GB-Graphics-Card-FAST-SHIP-SAME-DAY/254861270961?

he has 7 cards for sale.

evga has them for 629 sold out and here they are on ebay marked up to $969.

Now evga does not have the cards for us but this guy has 7.

Since evga is the main seller how did he get 7 to sell.

What kills a gamer is these will sell to a miner.

With a few discounts these drop to about 940 or 950 they earn $7.20 a day. Power  cost is $1.20 or less  so a net of $6 a day free and clear in around 160 days. As long as this goes on people are going to be angry.

Evga headquarters is in BREA,CA

The seller is in Burlingame,CA.

Not that close  400 miles , but same  state so it looks bad.

The above person mentioned is selling a Lot of GPU's probably works at a Best Buy or Microcenter or lives next to one etc...  If you want to rent a GPU buy from them and use it for a couple months and return it....  Hurts them as a scammer, you get a GPU to use till yours comes in..... I say if more people did that less of them would sell on ebay.

The seller has these listed with two MPN in the same listing, 08G-P5-3755-KR and 08G-P5-3755-KB.  These can be found pretty much everywhere EVGA supplies product... newegg, amazon, evga etc on the KR and BB on the KB.  I see these pop up more often than other MPNs for the EVGA 3070.  This seller could have easily gotten 7 cards from these vendors in individual transactions.  It is obvious that they are buying for the sole purpose of scalping.  Not much EVGA can do to prevent this in their retail channels, except to encourage vendors to implement measures to slow the bulk purchasing.  You can never prevent this 100% for single transactions.  Just my guess as to how they got 7.

What I hate is a lot of the websites hosting these scam deals will tell you that they're not scams.  I wonder what planet it's not a scam on.  When it comes to food and necessities it's actually illegal to do this particularly in the middle of an ongoing pandemic.  They can get around it because you don't need a GPU to survive (at least not yet).

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2021/02/10 08:10:19 (permalink)
Wednesday.  The midway-point.  "Wed".  Well, we'd all be doing something different if not for NVIDIA:

- We'd be gaming;
- We'd be making sweet, sweet love to our significant others;
- We'd be outside smelling the flowers and describing the clouds to our children/pets/alternative personalities; or
- [your turn...in your opinion, what would we all be doing instead?]

But we'd not have met each other, we'd not have spent as much virtual time with each other...we'd not have established, grown and nurtured this thread community. (Please note, I am not suggesting that this is in any way a preferable outcome...rather, I am only noting that we have all made efforts to squeeze some lemonade from the citrus left to us by NVIDIA.)

May your remaining wait be shorter than you anticipate; it is already longer than you deserve.

Good luck tomorrow! Stay safe!

Concert tickets and sporting event tickets are not necessities, however these things are regulated against scalping. Used to be a massive problem for the average sports fan and concert goer where the $35 tickets were only available for $135. I just don't know why the same logic/laws should not apply here. Scalpers are adding nothing to the value of the items they are selling, and in fact most times reducing the value due to headaches with warranties and RMAs if you buy through a scalper. Yet they are getting upwards of 200% the MSRP.

Don't buy from the scalpers, and they don't gain the profit. I know that it's extremely tempting given our current situation, but the fact is that if they don't sell the cards, they actually lose a LOT of money. Eventually they'd be forced to either sell at MSRP, or somehow utilize the cards themselves.

This is becoming quite the joke. It's been almost 4 months since launch. Nvidia you have failed your customers. EVGA you have failed your customers. I suggest anyone on this board get your cards any which way you can. If that's through a scalper so be it. Nvidia and evga don't care so why should you. It's sad when my best chance at getting a card this year is a lottery system from new egg lol.

i felt the same way 5 EVGA cards then sitting thru a few weeks of this joke list went thru other ends of securing a card ended up with a zotac trinity 3080 oc
and can tell you the reviews of zotac are hot garbage it overclocks great runs much cooler than they said and in no way did it disappoint.may end up buying another
EVGA in the future who knows but they are no longer my go to.get what you can its only going to get worse and EVGA trickling them into this list is a joke.

At least EVGA cares more than others. They at least are giving their customers a chance to get a card. Yes, it's MUCH slower than it should be, but at least they are trying. Nvidia literally stopped caring and selling cards on their own site, is now letting other sites deal with the backlash. In my opinion, that is despicable.
Also in terms of your comment telling everyone to get their cards by any means, do you really think that by doing that, it'll help anything? Yes, a few people will get their cards sooner, but at a far greater cost, and it will give scalpers that much more of a reason to continue scalping and screwing over anyone who wants a card at future releases. Instead, wait it out. Make scalpers pay for trying to cheat out the gaming community and to show them that we will wait out as long as we have to in order to get our cards the right way.
I mean for gosh sakes, this is a strong community. Not one person is waiting on their own, but rather the entire community is right there with them. We all know how hard it is to wait, but that's why we have each other. If we give in the scalpers, we are just giving them the money and the permission to do the same exact thing to us when the 4000 series comes out. I say f*ck them and their over-priced cards. I'm staying in the queue, I'm waiting it out, and they can't get me to do otherwise.

Or in other words... https://youtu.be/PVDH3MX4MYI

It's been over a decade since I've had anything but an EVGA video card in my machines... end of an era unless some miraculous notification pops up in the next couple weeks.

i felt the same way 5 EVGA cards then sitting thru a few weeks of this joke list went thru other ends of securing a card ended up with a zotac trinity 3080 oc
and can tell you the reviews of zotac are hot garbage it overclocks great runs much cooler than they said and in no way did it disappoint.may end up buying another
EVGA in the future who knows but they are no longer my go to.get what you can its only going to get worse and EVGA trickling them into this list is a joke.

Honestly folks get whatever 3080 you can. My hats off to guys like enewt for keeping this thing alive but things have become so slow now it's pretty laughable. If you think the scalpers haven't won yet you are mistaken this round goes to them . Maybe our manufacturers can be better for future launches but I dunno . I have no sense of brand loyalty anymore.

Newegg Shuffle is ALL 3070s today.
Everyone has their own circumstances. I haven't had a working desktop since my 780TI died in July.  I decided to wait for the 30xx to do a build and bought a gaming laptop to tie me over.
My wife's computer desperately needed replacement, too and she didn't want to wait so I built her a 10700K build that I put the one 3070 I was able to get in the queue into that.  She let me have her old desktop, but it's a 3750K with a 570 in it.  I can't really play anything made after 2016 on that.
I'm building a new computer as soon as the 11th gen intel comes out.  I don't really expect to get an evga 3080 by then, so I'm going to get whatever I can because putting that 570 into a Rocket Lake build is insane.
Let's not judge people for the decisions they are being forced to make.  I don't blame EVGA, but as the consumer, my needs come first.

LOL, clearing out Z390 motherboards...  pretty much the only item worth trying for is the Asus TUF @ $669, and maybe the KO combo if you're looking for a relevant AMD motherboard.  Shame on MSI.

I would be willing to do kyc with newegg or evga  to be able to buy 3 more cards. Be placed on a reasonable list not a wait for months and months and months list.

I needed 5.
I have 2 overpaid for both of them won on the newegg shuffle.
I was building 1 rig for me and four rigs for friends and family.
I have a 3090 and a 3070

the 3090 was jacked up about 200 usd
the 3070 was jacked up 50 and I had to buy a capture card with it,.

I really wanted to buy from real venders.
Newegg
Evga
Amazon
BHphoto
FRY's

not from ebay scalpers.

I kind of need these as the builds help me out with my income.

With these waiting times I can't make rigs for sale.

Back to the shuffle maybe I get lucky today.

The MSI cards you do NOT have to buy the motherboard.
Only the top two ASUS cards require the combo purchase.
I'll take that Suprim if I win.

If online retailers and other online selling forms would crack down on scalpers and not allow them to sell on their forms, then everyone on here would not have such a hard time of trying to get a card.  It's hoarders who buy up a lot of cards, so that the market is bare, and then turn around and jack up the price so high in order to rip people off.

I believe we are now in a new era for scalping. Scalpers in the future will buy up all inventory and try to corner the market, only let cards dribble out at high prices. Interest rates are low so no cost to carry inventory. Sorta like computer OPEC.

Don’t know how good of a site Etsy is , but they have 3 3090 cards as of now

I wouldn't trust the site.  There are many youtube videos were people bought from sites like that and ended up with a gpu that was old.  It'll read one thing (say like 3080) but it won't run as one.  The youtuber would take the card apart and it would be a gpu processor from on old card (say like a 750).   I'm just waiting patiently to get mine from EVGA.
