These queues would go so much faster if EVGA would quit sending cards to retail stores. Apparently my local Microcenter got 8 3897s in this morning.

There are long term contracts to consider, which usually involve far more gpus then are normally sold through evga.com

Pretty soon it will be 5 months of waiting for some of us, how long of a contract does that make for us?

Some businesses do 10 year or so contracts for stuff.

EVGA probably has an obligation to send their cards to e-retail/retail stores.

I have multiple Shop BLT orders in... Since mid December. They usually get delayed on final day so don't count on it. They are normally really good, they just aren't getting their shipments like the manufacturers are saying.

Ultimately, they are competing with other brands out there. I'm ok with their process.

Yep, waaaaaaay down too. It seems harder now to get a card than it was in 2020. The cards I was closest to getting a chance to buy stopped cold weeks ago, haven't moved since, and the ones that do move, barely move. I watched a report on how many cards were being sold by scalpers on eBay recently compared to last year and it stated that the number has gone up literally 10-fold since Jan 1st. If true, it leads me to believe that there are actually more cards now, but the scalpers are still snatching up the vast majority of them and selling them for $1,300 - $1,400 on eBay and that it doesn't matter how many cards are made, they're gonna make sure you pay double MSRP. I just now looked at 3070's on there, and these cretins now selling them for upwards of $1,000. They don't just sit there either, they are selling... quickly too. But who knows? So much information (pertaining to everything too, not just video cards) is out there and trying to figure out what is true and what false seems to have become full-time job now. All I know for sure is, this SUCKS, and it needs to stop within the next few months. ALL of these scalpers need to be crammed into a rocket and launched into the sun.

the sad part is the other companies just see scalper prices as a reason to raise rates. its terrible to the consumers. its a shame. it creates a negative cycle that just increase prices pushing out your previous valued customers who want nothing to do with you anymore *Cough* newegg *cough*.

You need to think from business point of view, we are captive market bcos we lined up for it, we are not going any where. There is no competition in this line. But the shops/retailers can decide to sell cards from other brands as well, as such if cards are not sold to them they will lose those customers. There is competition in that line. Second important thing is by signing up for the cards , we helped the retailers estimate the demand more or less accurately. Now they know how much demand there is in the line, they can get just enuf cards instead of completely stocking up and divert more to gain new customers.

the problem with the launch wasnt due to any of that. it was due to bots, and a lack of precaution towards them. there were no security checkpoints that stopped them sufficiently. and allowing people to buy quantities over 2 exacerbated the situation even more.

Why have the XC3 3080s barely budged from mid-September? Is EVGA deprioritizing it's production in favor of the FTWs or something? The XC3 is the only card that fits in my ITX case so my waiting continues...
