Your 10700k wants to own a 3080 too?
It is not allowed. Processors are technically bots.

Sorry.

I thought Jacob said on Twitter XC3 were this week, but he did not specify which SKU.

Can you elaborate?  Is the queue emails and cards involved allowed?  As well as the position in queue?  I just want to play be the rules and not break them.  I know other sites is not allowed.

Happy to. Yes, any discussion surrounding the new process is more than welcomed. Talking about coolers, why the sky is blue and many other things not related to the topic is not welcomed. You happened to post as I was posting, your comment above is not why I posted.

Folks, I think a realistic expectation to push EVGA for is getting past one week of the sign-ups for all SKUs by early Nov (one month after the new system went live). Any less and it's just a paper launch , any more is unrealistic. I do expect that once 9/18 goes by hopefully before Halloween things will pick up steam and then come to a grind for 10/5 sign-ups when the notify system went live.

Does anyone know if EVGA manufactures their own boards from the ground up or do they get a stock from Nvidia and then customize them?  Just wondering if there's a bottleneck in the supply chain from Nvidia or something else?

I am just before noon 9/17 for 2 3080 skus.  I will be over the moon if I offered one of cards by Halloween.  All depends on the number of cards EVGA allocates for themselves.  I would think this is a good number of them, since they have to make much more off selling their own stock than if another retailer does.

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2020/10/12 06:40:47 (permalink)
I started using a different email than my registered email about 8 years ago.  I did the auto-notify on day one of the release of the 3080s, and I used my normal e-mail.   I am trying to change my e-mail to match the email I used auto-notify with, and it's telling me the e-mail is invalid.

I only have one registered account with EVGA.  Please help me get this situation resolved.

UPDATE: Looks like someone tried making a fake account under my new e-mail.  It has a "guest(number) user name.  It forces me into an endless loop of logon screens when I try to access it.  I change the password, and it constantly tell me that I'm entering the wrong password. I try to reset it, and I get a success message, but then I get the "wrong password" message when I try logging on. So the e-mail that I queued as back on September 17th is bugged.

Please help me fix this. I would hate to lose my place in line due to a bug like this.

EVGA_JacobF
We have made some changes to the checkout process for EVGA.com 30 Series orders. Now we are using a queue based notification system.

To sign up, use the notification button on the product you would like to be notified for. For everyone who already used the notify button previously, you are already entered. Once product is available (and it is your turn to purchase), you will receive a secure email that will allow you to purchase the product that you received a notification for. Please note that you have 8 hours to place your order, if your order is not complete within 8 hours, the product will be released back into queue system.

Also note that your email address that was used for the notify system MUST MATCH an email that has a registered EVGA account, if an account is not available with that email, you will need to create one before you can purchase.

Also note that this system will be available for US store first and evaluating for other regions.

Thanks
EVGA

If I've already signed up to be notified, do I need to re-sign up?

Nope, if you already signed up to be notified you do not need to sign up again.

If you had an auto notify even before the card was released, it still counts. We are including everyone who ever clicked the auto notify button while it was there.

chillinc
I signed up for an auto notification for a card a while ago, but reading this post I re-submitted a notification request (prior to realizing that my original request saved a place in line). Did that reset my place in line, or is my original place in line intact from when I originally requested a stock notification?

It will go by your earliest entry. Even if you re-enter it will maintain your original entry into the notification system.

pau164
Argh, I only just signed up for the notification! I hope I'm not too far down the queue. Oh well, I'm just glad it's an option.

A few questions, though. Are we supposed to receive any acknowledgement email when we sign up for notification? I did not.
Also, is there an email address we should whitelist to ensure we get the notification email?
Finally, can a notification be sent for multiple cards? I'll buy whichever XC3 3080 is available to me first.

Email will come from support@evga.com

Mkilbride2599
@evga_jacob I have to ask. I work nights, 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM. So I sleep during the day. What if I'm asleep while my email comes? Is it 5 hours once you click the link or once you get the email? It could be a pain for me if it comes at like 12 PM and I wake up at 6:30 PM.

We are doing a small test right now so due to the time anyone outside of the 8 hour window will allow exception for this test run. Going forward (after 10/6) the emails will be released during normal business hours.

Omwdiinx21
When will more stock be available for this new system?

This week.

Tommy C
What happens to the cards that dont get bought within the 5 hour time limit? do they go back into the email pool?

Will there be "email releases" and "public releases"?

Yes they will go back into the email pool. Right now there will only be email/notification releases from evga.com. You will still be able to find it at etail/retail also.

jspataro99
Hi Jacob. Will this queue system also be in place when the 3090 hybrids and Kingpin editions release?

Not yet determined on this.

Lazaredz
Haven't seen this clarified so ....

If I get the link to the XC3 and buy it, does that drop me off the FTW list?

Like is the 1 per household per card or per GPU family?

Its limit 1 per card.

gsrcrxsi
does "per card" mean per model (3080 vs 3090) or per sku (3080 XC3 vs 3080 FTW3)? there seems to be a lot of confusion about that. it's better to be very explicit in responses that could be interpreted in different ways to avoid such confusion.

I do also think it would be good for folks to be able to confirm that they are "on the list". you don't have to say our place in the queue, just something like "notifications are enabled for this product and was entered on <insert date>". that would placate people's fears about not being on the list without divulging any numbers or queue position.

It is per part number.

Talnoy
Is there anywhere you guys are going to post updates for when this is live for Canada?

Thanks!

This is live already for US and CA.

Link for you to know your date and time of Auto Notify =  https://www.evga.com/community/myNotifies.asp

Just a heads up.  Won't matter for forum members, but if anyone asks, you have to have or create an EVGA account that matches the notify email address you used if you want to view this page.

Guessing it'll be mid November by the time we get from 9/17/20 at 7am to where I'm at, almost 5pm on the FTW3 ultra.  Or have the times been moving quicker than that when they do move?

I think they moved from 6am or a bit before to about 7:25am. So hour and a half maybe in a week.

One thing to remember though is that the site was pretty much consistently down between 6AM and 7AM and wasn't really stable until 8AM.

If we can just move 6 minutes this week I'll be happy as I sit staring at my 9/17 7:31:26AM notification...

I'm at 9/17 7:37am so quickly after you. To be honest though, with all the issues people are reporting with these EVGA cards as well as the 20GB 3080 supposedly right around the corner, I'm losing enthusiasm everyday.

You could always just ignore your email and allow someone else to get it if you have lost interest. I'm sure someone else would gladly take your spot. I'm at 10:20 pm the 17th so it would be one millimeter closer to me. Jacob says expect large supplies for the ftw3 ultra weekly to bi-weekly.

Hi there,
Are there any RTX 3080 XC3 Ultra (P/N: 10G-P5-3885-KR) to be release this week? I have a notification date of September 16th at 12:27PM? Do you think I can get my notification this week? Please let me know.

That was answered in Jacob post on 1st page, Yes business hours. When you'll receive the email you'll have an 8 hours window to buy the card !

Most people obviously hit notify on the 17th or the day after. Not many sell cards on their site like EVGA.
I hit notify on nvidia.com and later on realized that EVGA sell direct too.
Not as many would hit it after the 17th when the card was out already. It was mostly out of desperation.
In my opinion it will go faster after they went through the 17th.

My understanding is that the boards for most AIB are done from the ground up. Nvidia really only makes PCBs for the FE and prefers it that way. The profit is in selling the GPU itself to board partners and not selling PCBs

I think somewhere the estimation was around 12 cards shipped to the notifiers - during that week. I actually put my PC away
