Dabadger84 ... Secondly, there is zero guarantee it will actually get overnighted, due to delays given the time of year (holidays are always busy & result in delays) and due to COVID. ...
Yes, fair point. However, not going Ground at least has the chance to keep it out of the Ground transit system.
skleidnbfoies I don't know where you live but if you live on the east coast it can take upwards of 7 days because they don't do sat/sun delivery on ground deliveries for some reason. It also only costs a few bucks more to get it 5 days earlier.
I'm east coast as well and just a hair over 2,500 miles from where it will ship from. I'm willing to throw another $20'ish in on shipping and take the gamble that this time of year that it either might or might not make any difference at all.
im actually expecting my card to arrive today and I ordered it wednesday
I ordered my card on this pass monday and i received it on tuesday with overnight delivery...and i from canada, eastern standard time

For me it was double the cost (almost $50) and would have supposedly (but in reality in that case, not possible) resulted in arrival 1 day earlier. Regardless, I still say paying for overnight is not worth it given how the system is functioning right now. Upgrading to 2-day maybe, but overnight is just paying for something you're not going to get 90% of the time right now, at least for me anyway, I don't like paying for something I'm not going to get :-P I've also found that people's experiences with various shipping companies varies by region, a lot. For example I know some people have serious issues with UPS all the time but never have issues with FedEx. Where I live, it's the opposite, UPS is very reliable (and easy to find the driver if you don't want to wait for your package til they get to your house), FedEx on the other hand is utterly ridiculous. The driver can randomly mark your package "undeliverable address" just because he/she doesn't feel like driving out that day, then it arrives the next day... without you filing an address verification - so they obviously knew where you live. I do agree that if you're worried about the package getting lost, paying for faster shipping is on point, because it does lessen the amount of places it stops, and thereby, the number of exchanges during which it can get lost, that is very valid. For me, my shipment went directly from California to Albuquerque, then to me from Alb, so it was a pretty direct shot, which given that it was shipped ground, and over a weekend, really surprised me. I wasn't expecting it until Wednesday, getting it on Monday was very nice. On the top of the Amazon fiasco: I hope y'all heeded my words & didn't prematurely remove your Queue Notifications before your order shipped :-P

tizz78 I read something about that this morning. One person said they'd paid, only later to receive a cancellation notice. Sounds like a lot of people are in the same boat as you. I hope things change soon, and many gamers get their cards!
Check reddit, before the moderator clean up. I had seen at least 50 posts of people complaining exactly of the same issue. Cancelled by Amazon.

coldrain85 The 3080/3090 Hybrid lists are populating. I was #62 in the queue for a 3080 FTW when I entered my info and I'm down to #85 now. It looks like there are a lot of pre-9:05 time stamps for that card. Anyone after 9:05 (me) is probably going to be waiting for a while. The 3080 XC time stamps don't begin before 9:08. It looks like EVGA staggered the auto-notify buttons. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zA67nmusHrLyKKDJ3rBDiDmlA15Zrzn6MaACCpobW4E/edit#gid=344832691
I saw that man. RIP. We were like 60 to 70s yesterday. Not anymore. LMAO

Not sure either. I don't get this story. I thought people were complaining about Samsungs low yields and that's why we were in this predicament.

JoPeGame Hey enewt, I seem to recall you posting about EVGA being closed for the holidays but I can't find the dates... :( Do you remember when they go on break?
Orders placed after 12/23/20 at 2:00 PM will not ship until 1/5/21.
If that person who posted earlier about their notify being at 10:01 AM on 12/18 was for the 3080 FTW3 ultra, then I'm 45 minutes away. Here's to hoping I can get a notify before 12/23 at 2 PM!!!!
I believe the report was for the 3897, so, yes, it sounds like you are within 3/4 of an hour of the timeline. Best of luck next week.
I can bet you it wasn't for the 3897. If so EVGA has some explaining to do. 10G-P5-3897-KR 11/19/2020 5:52:40 PM PT No
