AerialX Got an ftw3 ultra order in this morning! My notify time was 7:10 on the 17th if that helps with pinpointing just where in the release day hump the queue is right now.
lazaro50 When did the 3080 FTW3 Gaming and Ultra pages go up? It's claiming I didn't register for auto notify until 9/21, but I registered for the ICX3 on 9/16.
I'm pretty sure ultra went up on the 16th (afternoon?) and non-ultra in the morning of the 21st.
I was hoping that to be the case, but people on the spreadsheet are claiming to have signed up for it on 9/16-9/19. Since the Gaming isn't even available, it will probably take a while.
Those probably aren't accurate unless the page was going up and down through the week or something? I may be misremembering but I'm pretty confident you'll be very close to the front of the line if you registered around the 21st, assuming some stock ever comes in for them :p

Afterburner Imagine this... The "Next" launch that happens, the server will crash because of everyone hitting the "Auto notify" button as soon as the page goes live for a GPU, instead of the "Purchase now" we experienced this time around

Yup - doesn't appear to be any of them sent out at all yet. I hit the notify button on 09/24 (release day) for the 3090 FTW3 Ultra... although there are only a very few 3090's appearing on that Reddit list, so that's somewhat 'comforting': https://docs.google.com/s...bGBgY/edit?pli=1#gid=0

Scroll back a page or two - there's a few posts about it, and you have to make a couple of changes to the link....

Hey guys, it would help if you state 3080 or 3090 in your posts. It’s obvious on many what you are talking about since you couldn’t auto notify the 3090 until the 24th, but after then it gets ambiguous.

Indeed. I'm just assuming they mean 3080 now, unless otherwise stated.

For others, I went to a card I had previously signed up for a notification on and attempted to sign up for a new notification and the system told me I had already signed up, and gave me the date that I signed up. Message: "You have already entered for a notify on the following date/time: X/X/2020 12:45:09 PM." For another card I hadn't signed up for a notification on, it let me sign up. I was testing whether or not the initial sign up affected all cards, or just the one I signed up for. It appears you need to manually sign up for notifications one each card you want.

I did separate sign ups for each card. This is my tweet to Jacob in case is around here. Can't say much more than that.

With time to adequately prepare, I would think the queue system could easily be based off better metrics like account seniority, loyalty, etc. It was a great bandaid this time around, but the secrets out now so you can bet your butts the bots will be ready.

No one "said there was," I suggested it might be the case judging by everything EVGA has been doing so far, i.e. FTWs seem to be showing up more often out of the EVGA store and it's the first wave of cards sent out + the only card offered for step-up. I'd imagine the margins are higher on them anyway, so they'd be predisposed to sell them vs all the other ones.

Jinjo 09/18/2020 11:20:03 AM here for the FTW3 Ultra. No e-mail yet, hoping it drops soon. :)
They haven't even made it through the morning hours on 09/17 yet, lol. Might be a week or two at least, because my guess is the lion's share of people prior to the announcement signed up on release day. It'll actually probably move faster once it's off the 17th and then slow down again as it gets closer to toward. If EVGA wasn't lying about ramped up stock in october (because either they or Jensen were lying), then I'd be optimistic that everyone on the 17th and 18th might get one by the start of November if they're moving a good number of cards over October. Outside of that, well, I guess we'll see.
Context. Jensen is mostly talking about FE. Nvidia's business is selling the cores and accompanying memory to the AIB's, It does not want its business to be manufacturing major volume of a loss leading product that most likely will be less relevant than the 2080 ti at the end of October. RDNA 2 and NVIDIA's reply - AKA 3070 TI's and the like.... All with more VRAM The strategy it seems was always to ramp up production for the AIB's. Production will probably never ramp with the FE's... Anyway point is EVGA and NVIDIA are not lying.

As someone that didn't signed up for the FTW models at the time but did so for the XC models (9/16) I'm hoping this isn't the case but we were discussing it at work , they are mostly likely producing more ftw cards than XC because higher margins. This would suck for people that were ok getting the non ftw cards, maybe it would be nice if Jacob can say roughly when they are restocking XC cards or if they are even coming at all.
