It's too bad there isn't a way to decline when people get notified and don't want to purchase. Eight hour purchase window is great, but if they don't intend to buy, it eats a lot of time. I think it would speed things up a bit.

It just goes into the next day's batch, so it's not losing too much time at all really. It doesn't affect the main shipments either.  It equals out by week's end.

these are the oldest of my notifies .
10G-P53885-KR  10/7 7:32 AM
10G-P5-3897-KR  10/7 7:33 AM
24G-P5-3975-KR  10/7 7:53 AM

Then I had a couple on the 9th and 13th

Just hoping for kind of soon.. I'm one of those people furiously checking my spam hoping I didn't miss it

Well, if you registered for a 3090 FTW3 Ultra on either the 9th or the 13th, that may be your earliest invite to purchase.  The 3885 is still back on 9/16, the 3897 on 9/17 and the 3975 on 9/26 (the 3090 XC3 Ultra would also be in the running for first invite to purchase email as well).  Unfortunately, all of these date/time stamps feel weeks away from where the queues are now (based on the size and cadence of previous drops).  Sorry I don't have better news.

Sp according to TechPowerUp, the 3080Ti is due as early as January at $999. Like everyone knew/suspected, basically a 3090 with 20gb memory.
How in the world is Nvidia planning to split chips up even more? And with the highest end chip with the lowest yield rate at that. What???

This is discouraging to a point.  However I am still pushing ahead buying the 3090 FTW3 if its available via notify first.  Simple reason:  that 3080 ti is likely going to be off the shelfs faster and have more demand then any other card.. and thus be impossible to get at list.  Also.. the 3090 at list is just a smuch as a scalpers price on a 3080 FTW3.

Hmm, if the 3080 ti is really coming out that soon I think I would rather wait. I will get buyers remorse if I buy a 3080 FTW Ultra for $800 only to have the 3080 ti become available a few weeks later. Twice as much RAM for $200 more is worth the wait.

I'm still more than 8 hours away in the queue, and at the rate it's going the 3080 ti will become available before I even get a shot at the 3080. Oh well, at least I have plenty of time to think about it.

Unfortunately, the spreadsheet is locked down such that we cannot add folks anymore – folks have to do it themselves. If you are so inclined, here is the link to the form to submit your date/time stamps to the spreadsheet:

          https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdZaiFAXqnuhyXfpR7muIyWa9HvQpnhdTWjjGvmObkakpqZnQ/viewform

The form doesn’t always work and recently folks have reported not being able to add themselves. That is why I currently recommend that rather than add yourself to the spreadsheet that already has a good number of data points and is tracking the front of the queue reasonably well, it is far easier to instead refer to the spreadsheet and compare it to your personal auto-notify date/time stamps (viewable here: https://www.evga.com/community/myNotifies.asp) to get a rough estimate of how far away is the front of the line.

Unfortunately, given that your date/time stamps are a week into November, you have an extended wait ahead of you through the queue process (likely into 2021).  I am sorry I do not have better news.

Thank you for using my associate's code; I really appreciate it!  I hope the 5% discount helped defray the cost of some other gaming goodness!  Enjoy your card!!!

90 days for stepup. 90 days from today stretches into February. So if it really is January you're safe. Also, the 3080Ti FTW3 will be like 1100-1200.

5120 x 1440 49" super-ultrawide > everything else.

Although I am getting very tempted by the prospect of a 38" 3840 x 1600 ultrawide @ 144Hz.  That would be nice, but the curve on the ones I've see at that spec so far are lacking.  If it's not higher curve/lower number than 2300R, I don't want it.  Samsung has a Super-Ultrawide that's 1000R - queue the drool:

A very nice screen indeed but just too pricey so I went for the CRG9, its predecessor with 1800R. Unfortunately my poor 2080 Super gets annihilated in FS2020

Thursday is just 1/7th of the week.  The day after hump day.  A poor imitation of Friday. Yet many important milestones have occurred on such a humble day.

For example, on January 7, 1982 -- a Thursday – the world first got a glimpse of the Commodore 64…the mother of all PCs.  Pretty momentous if you think about it…

Today holds the promise of a similarly awesome event.

No, I am not talking about those subordinate boxes that folks hook up to TVs (you know the one that looks like an obelisk and the other that looks like a router).  No, today is the day that some of us (too few, if we are being honest with each other) will secure their 30 Series GPU!

So go forth to work or to school with a spring in your step, check your email at least once every 7.5 hours, and remember to hydrate.  For today is Thursday and…say it with me…”Everybody gets a card on Thursday!”

To set the table, here is the summary of approximately where the queues stand after Wednesday’s drops.

Just wanted to drop by and say thanks for reporting queue updates! It feels better knowing that it is moving, however slowly.

Patiently waiting for my 3070 XC3 Black which I signed up for at 06:31:11 AM PT.

Today may be the day, but it's not the one I really want. :(

I am still holding out hope I can get a 3080 before CP2077 but I'm still a little over 8 hours out (8h20m).

Just keep hitting F5 and waiting for my golden ticket from EVGA...

Every card I have ever installed into a build since I started PC gaming has had an EVGA card in it going back to my 7900 GT CO that violently yanked me away from my xbox and turned me into a PC gamer for life. I'd hate to break that streak but I am desperate since I bought a monitor this summer (LG 34GN850-B) my poor 970 SSC can't handle.

The price you pay for the card is the same as the site shows when you receive the notification email, right?
For whatever reason, when I tried to buy a 3090 on the 1st day and I managed to put it on my cart, the price was over 2000€ (yes I'm from Europe) so I just skipped it. Not paying that much over MSRP when there were no benchmarks at the time... and I'm glad I didn't buy it now!

Anyway, I'm waiting for a 3080 which is listed for a fair 710€ price. Hopefuly this is not the "non-stock" price and when they are actually ready to ship these cards, they get them to 1000€.
The 3090 is also listed for 1565€ right now, which is acceptable close to MSRP, but it's a joke of a card for just gaming.

fofal
I hit notify me on Sept 24 and back ordered a 3080 from my local store on Oct 4. I got the call from the store on Oct 29th. The line here is still on the 17th lol. This notify me process is nothing but a PR stunt.

I say this because I feel bad for guys who are wating. Just go to your local store and back order if you didn't already.

I have no local stores doing backorders...

^^^^ This - I live in a smol enough area that there's no such thing as "your local store", the nearest Best Buy is 40 miles away and they're probably back-ordered out the wazoo.  The notify me system is hardly a gimmick, it was simply jam-packed on launch day, once they've gotten past launch days for a particular model the pace has quickened quite a bit.

Has anyone received a 3070 XC3 Ultra Gaming since release? Just noticed the reports always say N/A? Kicking myself for not just getting a XC3 Black since those seem to be flowing out at a reasonable speed.

Also, although I am not really in any rush (considering I am currently playing a dos game...dont ask, lol), is anyone going to just give up on the 3070s and buy a 6800 if AMD's release on the 18th is actually done properly and the cards are available to regular people, not just scalpers? I personally have never had a AMD card. May have had one in the mid 90s as I think I had a Radeon something or other.

I don't believe those have shipped at all yet, maybe one batch this week but that's it.  I have those on notify me as well, and I already got the regular XC3 notification, so my guess is they haven't moved much/ at all yet.

FYI there's no way AMD's launch is going to go any better, scalpers will bot them to death just the same.  I've owned several AMD cards & their issue has always been their drivers.  Apparently they supposedly put a team on that to "fix" driver issues faster etc with the newer generation, we'll see how that pans out.

I just want a Hybrid 3080 so I can go back to not having all that hot air spewed in to the case & having a regular airflow profile instead of the craziness I currently have to keep this thing happy.

Thanks for the reply. Again, since I am in no rush, I would rather wait and get the 3070. The 16GB of the 6800 is interesting over the 8GB of the 3070, but there is more to cards than just memory.

I cannot bring myself to support scalpers and refuse to pay over 5-10% above MSRP. I am in Ontario, Canada and we get rammed even harder with gouging (even from our stores). I may even just get a previous generation card. I would be going from an EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4 GB SSC ACX 2.0+, so anything I get will be leaps and bounds better than that.

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2020/11/12 06:53:08 (permalink)
Very new here.
What days do 3090s usually drop? I am 24G-P5-3987-KR 10/6/2020 10:24:41 AM PT, so I am very certain I will get a drop before xmas, but do you think it would get there within the next week or so? I am thinking a lot of people registered 10/6 because that was 1 day after announce. Also how to associate codes work?
Thanks

Depending on your resolution that you play at, 8GB would be fine, unless you're at 4K.  I've only rarely seen games hit the 8+GB mark at 3440 x 1440 and that's with most or all settings maxed out.  Usually it's settings you can turn down a notch & be fine, and hardly notice the difference (going from Ultra to High on textures as an example, most games you really have to look closely to see much of a difference in that).
