It's going to be limited for those models for sure, especially to start. Didn't see any times today, I was 11AM yesterday.

I just saw a twitter confirmation from today that moves the 3080 XC3 Black to 11:25 am on the 16th.  Yay...I guess!?!

5120 x 1440 49" super-ultrawide > everything else.
 
Although I am getting very tempted by the prospect of a 38" 3840 x 1600 ultrawide @ 144Hz.  That would be nice, but the curve on the ones I've see at that spec so far are lacking.  If it's not higher curve/lower number than 2300R, I don't want it.  Samsung has a Super-Ultrawide that's 1000R - queue the drool:

Those curved screens are more trouble than they're worth IMO. You spend more time trying to get them to work with specific games, and half the time they end up being limited because developers don't want to give FOV advantages.

That's not the curve's fault, that's the resolution & the game makers not supporting it properly.  I have only had 2 games that had wonky issues with 3440 x 1440 so far, Watch Dogs (the first one) stretches the menus making it near impossible to play on 21 by 9, which I haven't found a fix for so I plan on replaying it at regular 1440p, and Wolfenstein The New Order also just plain doesn't support the resolution.
In games where it works flawlessly, I.E. GTA V (note: I only play the single player), CS:GO (and yes it does provide extra FOV there, which allows me to see people that my team mates don't and it sometimes saves rounds), etc it really is quite nice.
In open world/RPG style games, it makes it that much more immersive... I'd love to have that 49" 5120 x 1440 1000R screen though, I can just imagine playing something like Mass Effect Andromeda, Dragon Age Inquisition, or some other, newer open-world style game and just enjoying the scenery from time to time.
Gaming in Ultrawide is something I think everyone should try, the majority of people usually say "once you try it you won't go back".
That is pretty much my only complaint about my current monitor, I wish it had more curve to it, 1900R is nice, but I'd prefer it be even more aggressive.  But, at the time it was made, it was one of the more aggressive curves out there, and 120Hz at that resolution was still fairly new.
3080 FTW3 Ultra sure does have fun pushing all those pixels, especially when I was playing GTA V with upscaling putting the resolution at 5120 x 2160, looked smooth without anti-aliasing, and it still ran pretty smooth as well despite being "greater than 4K/2160p resolution".

That's progress at least! I'm at 9/16 12:40PM so luckily not too many in front of me. Really hoping for later this week or next week but at this rate we'll see. At least the 3080s are not as loaded up as the 3070s.

I don't know what people are talking about with compatibility - everything I play is fantastic. 
 
It may be too bright, so you'll want to switch on eye-saver for productivity. 

I hit notify me on Sept 24 and back ordered a 3080 from my local store on Oct 4. I got the call from the store on Oct 29th. The line here is still on the 17th lol. This notify me process is nothing but a PR stunt.

I say this because I feel bad for guys who are wating. Just go to your local store and back order if you didn't already.

To be honest, I shotgunned it and went for 3 of the 3080's and 3 of the 3090's .. I would PREFER a 3090 but I'm not being picky.. Waiting on the card for a new build.. it's just sitting there with a gaping hole where a GPU should be

Understood.  I think of lot of folks may have done that. 
 
The inquiry (above) was more about trying to answer your question...we cannot guestimate how long you have to wait without knowing which cards on which day/time stamp you registered.
 
A lot of us have that gaping feeling; some of us in two spots (GPU and CPU).  #ItsAJourney

Its pretty bad how limited the availability of the 3080 XC3 gaming and XC3 Black is.  Learned my lesson.  Buy the most expensive model with all the RGB I guess....
