At this point there's no ETA when drops will speed back up. Everything at EVGA has come to a halt due to the theft.

So pretty much one of two situation happened. Either they used their theft insurance and their premiums went up or they didn't use it. Either way the increase per card is to pass the cost of the theft onto their customers. I understand that at the end of the day EVGA is a business and $10 bucks is just $10 bucks. But having loyal customer pay for the actions of thieves just seems wrong. Of course I'm just speculating that this is the reason for the price increase. If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong... As for the drops resuming to normal speeds, that will take the ports figuring out a system to speed up their production. They should try to work out a deal with companies that send long haulers to run a few containers locally before picking up their container to haul. That way each driver knocks out 3-5 containers per trip. But, what do I know...

Currently the queues are closed. They won't be reopened until all the currents orders have been fulfilled. EVGA will announce when/if the queues will reopen. But most likely it won't happen until either the 30 supers or 40 series come out.

There is a line for being able to buy EVGA cards, each line unique to each model/sku. Think of it as a reservation for the privilege to throw all of your money at them 😆 🤣 😆

Two things to say about EVGA and pricing, 1) They have consistently had the lowest %increases since prices started to rise. +1 for EVGA. 2) Timing of this latest (albeit modest) increase is definitely not good, considering the theft. Connecting the dots, even if not based in fact, is easy to do. Reputation should be prioritized over profit for such a small increase. -1 for EVGA. If you look at the increases, they even upped the price of their MSRP cards. 3655, 3783, and 3953 as examples. To me it's not a big deal, since the prices did seem artificially low. The issue here is that their increase for these MSRP cards "breaks the seal" for further increases. They must not be bound to those prices any longer.

I do get see your point. Inflation is definitely a fact of business and has been running rampant everywhere. Like many, I've also been very appreciative of how EVGA has been laxed with the way they raise their prices compared to their competition. I guess I was just connecting dots out. But, it's not an uncommon business practices to avoid taking a loss. Like we both basically said it was just $10 bucks more!

Good points. Also compare to the MSRP hikes that say, MSI and Gigabyte priced in a few months ago without a truck theft. None of this is good per se, just less bad than it could've been. In a perfect world, I'd like to see those thieves pay a hefty fine on top of jail time with those proceeds going to discounted cards, paying for container offloading, or contributing to nomoss's Photoshop budget.
Doesn't have a point of viewKnows not where he's going toIsn't he a bit like...the EVGA queue?

I've been trying to get a "new" graphics card since 2018. Back when the 1080 launched they were impossible to get, then the same for the 2080's because of the price gauging. Now we have price gauging and artificial limited inventory because companies like Evga knowingly sold their entire inventories to the scalpers and crypto miners who now have the inventory. There is not a single human being on this planet who needs more than one graphics card. Evga and Nvidia (and the rest of the vendors) are swimming in the profits from the massive sales they made to the scum who purchased all the inventory. Anyone who actually purchases anything at this point is just supporting the predatory business practices. These prices are absolutely absurd. There is zero difference between buying direct from Evga and from some pos on eBay or Amazon seller. They are marking up at least 200% just to take advantage of "suckers" who they assume does not know any better. The best thing to do at this point is buy nothing from these companies and use the only language they understand, the lack of sales.

1. You must not have tried very hard for the 2080's, I bought mine directly from the EVGA website 2 months after they were released. 2. No one needs any graphics card. What they do need is food, water, and shelter. Just to put things into perspective for you. 3. On Ebay a 3080 is around $1,600. The same one can be purchased through the queue for $ 919.99, bit of a difference if you ask me.
4. Stop whining, its not a good look. If its such an issue don't buy a gpu anywhere, and get a different hobby like knitting.

polorboy I've been trying to get a "new" graphics card since 2018.
Well, that's definitely an opinion :D - a salty one but an opinion.
