Laptop would be good alternative for HD gaming I agree, or if you are into 4k you can buy decent prebuilt from Newegg with 3080 Ti for around 2500 (+tax of course). If I wanted to upgrade my whole machine I wouldn’t even think twice.

No, your personal oldest (up to two) entries still count. Maybe you'll get it sooner that otherwise now, but there will be a wait for an entry from this summer/fall

It's my birthday today........ How about it EVGA? Sell me a card? I only been waiting a year and according to the que time, the math says I only have another 9 years to wait before my que to pop at the end of November! Soooo... I'm not sure I'll want a 3080 by then ;D
**** this sucks so hard. The only reason I didn't go to buy the card earlier was because I was waiting to have enough money. When I finally had enough money in the end of November last year I went to buy a card. F&$K

Super models were never faster than Tis. Why cannibalize your second top card. Expect Super models to show in February-March 2022

New Supers will have more memory and may be more Cuda cores. So 3080 Super will be slightly faster than regular 3080 but slower than 3080 Ti.

The blacks have barely moved at all and likely won't moving forward. Unfortunately this is why EVGA suggested keeping the ULTRA SKUs if you have them. If I were you I would look elsewhere for a card. BestBuy has been good to me but is never a guarantee. Just a chance. Good luck.

Probably because 6 and 8 looks very similar on UPS labels  nomoss3090 Ti rumored as well. To do it they have to design new chip. 3070 Ti - isn't new. It has same DIE size and transistor count as regular 3070 - I bet they just locked some power in 3070 to release 3070 Ti later. If we divide 17.4 billion transistors by 6144 cores( 3070 Ti) and then multiplied it by 10496 cores( 3090) we will get 29.725 billion transistors, when 3090 contains only 28.3 billion transistors - I think there no room to make same trick as 3070/3070 Ti.

I read another article that said they were going to change the memory on the 3090Ti, allowing them to put it all on the front side in the same space and with the improved cooling for memory increase performance. It's a rumor, but interesting.

I am a new member here. Does anybody know if there is any way to join the queue for video cards? Probably I am writing to wrong thread :)
I want to purchase RTX 3060 (12G-P5-3657-KR), but there is is no buttons, even to join the queue unlike a few other cards on the site, where
there is a splash 'out of stock'.

The queues are currently locked and not accepting new registrations. No ETA on when they will reopen, but I am guessing it will be 2022 before any of them open.

Not much you can do right now, TBH. The queues are locked until further notice, so there's no way to "jump" back in a queue you've taken yourself out of. You may try e-mailing webmaster@evga.com to see if they'll heed your plight, but I wouldn't bet on it since it's been almost a week since the switch. Worth a shot at least. Wow, people from June are just now getting cards. I guess by the time mine comes around, the Super will be available and I might as well aim for that. :)
I wonder if the Super will have the stronger VRMs on it, resolving what people are seeing fry on their low to mid-tier 3080-series cards when they play certain games with uncapped FPS. (ref. https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/q2v2fb/i_think_i_found_out_whats_killing_the_ampere/ )

Anyone else have issues with the queue system marking notifies as active despite them being removed before the system went lookup only? It looks like the system went to purely "oldest two entries" and ignored the fact of them being removed, despite that being the recommendation that was sent out.
