Everyone,

As we continue to monitor the queue to get cards to gamers sooner, we appreciate all the feedback to help us to improve the queue system.

Due to the overwhelming demand for the 30 Series Products, our first step was to close the notify queue until we can fulfill them. Management team then took an extra step to prioritize those that have not received a card versus others who have been able to get multiple GPU’s.

After reading the feedback, there were legitimate concerns about retroactively changing the queue function. We are sorry for any frustration this caused, this was not the company’s intention. Today we are going to make the following updates:

1.    The queue system will be rolled back to the previous rule.
  • Anyone who missed a card from Monday, October 4th, will be notified on the next release.
  • EVGA will continue to send notifies through October 8th.
2.    In order to get cards to gamers sooner, please go to the notify page at https://www.evga.com/community/myNotifies.asp and keep only the top two cards selected that you would like to purchase, and remove the others.
  • On October 11th, 2021, the system will only lookup and send notifies based on your two oldest entries.
  • Going forward, the queue system will only allow for two 30 Series notifies on the current lineup.
  • EVGA strongly suggests to keep the FTW3 ULTRA or XC3 ULTRA models due to consistent supply compared to limited supply on K|NGP|NHYDRO COPPER and HYBRID due to supply constraints.
  • EVGA is also going to be adding SMS verification to the checkout process for all notifications to catch bot orders.
3.    The queue system will not be turned back on until the current queues are fulfilled.
4.    The checkout window is 20 hours from the time of notification released.

EVGA appreciates your feedback to continue improving the queue system to deliver 30 Series cards into as many gamers hands as possible.

Thanks
EVGA

Is that i will recive notify in oct 11?

KL is the Light Hash Rate variants.  Stick w/ KL if you just want it for gaming.

*EDIT* Sorry, to be specific: KL is the light hash rate variants of the non-Ti models I believe.  Ti models are already light hash rate as it is.

Do we know which hashes are limited? Would it slow it down for algorithmic workloads such as model training or running on Folding @ Home? Is it specifically for repeated SHA256?

No, those are inherently low hash rate variants.  All of them.  Keep em!

See this is why I am confused.  The guidance says that I need to pick two and give up the rest. The two that I stay in line for should not be KRs, but my TIs say KR.  I am not sure which ones I am supposed to remove here.

Wait. writing more will update.

Update:

The -KL vs. -KR designation is not as straight forward as it seems.  "-KR" cards (which other than the 3090s do not appear to be currently manufactured in material numbers) are non-LHR, EXCEPT for the 3080 Tis which even though they are "-KR" designated are, in fact, LHR.  Apparently, when the Tis were coming out and the LHR change was announced by NVIDIA, it was too late for EVGA to change the product number from "-KR" to "-KL" for the 3080 Tis.  But the 3080 Tis are LHR and being produced. The 3060s are LHR.

So, for clarity: -KLs and, specifically, the 3080 Ti -KRs are LHR.  The 3090s are not-LHR.  All other -KRs are unlikely to be produced in material numbers.  I hope that helps.

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2021/10/06 16:21:43 (permalink)
I truly don't like this change and I feel like this is another slap in the face.  I added my name to the notify list on 8/25/2020 on many of the cards which I never seen a notification on.  9 months went by without any updates yet tons of promo emails.  Suddenly, I missed an '8 hour' window for an email that came out of the blue.  Ugh, ffs, whatever, SOL -- life goes on.  Since I had my name on another card that came in after 11 months, I was able to get by.  If today's system was in place, I'd be waiting another year if not longer.  What a horrible change tbh.

If bots are the issue, put the SMS verification on the existing queue system.  Don't punish the majority of us and restrict us to two cards only.

I actually feel pretty bummed removing my name from cards I sub'd to back in August 2020 knowing that I may never get them now with this new queue system.  So now I'll need to pay people hundred of dollars premium and get their card instead.  GG Evga... going the wrong direction again.

I understand the sentiment, but am confused about the facts you outline in your summary of your experience. The 3080 was launched on 9/17/2020. There was no auto-notify button or queue on 8/25/2020. When you write 8/25/2020, did you get the year or the month wrong?

That does help, a lot, thank you!

I check on this thread now and again and I know you are always very active and very knowledgeable.  Clearly an asset to this community.  That said, with your ongoing experience in this process, do you have any guidance on my list about which ones that you think are a good idea to let go and which to keep?  I will of course make my own decisions. I am responsible for what I choose and not you, but your feedback on my list and new need to choose two, would be helpful if you feel like it.

Thanks!

Why you did not email to EVGA? They usually helps in such situations. Don't know if they will willing to do it with new system.

ralphnIf bots are the issue, put the SMS verification on the existing queue system.
Done since next Monday. At least that what they told us.

Agreed.  Optionally, if you want a better chance at 3080Ti then keep 3967 and 3953.

@Burnsy95
You must research to understand, as enewt has summarized for you.  Here it is in a detailed format.

3090      all -KR   all non-LHR
3080Ti    all -KR   all LHR

3080, 3070, 3060Ti
-KR are non-LHR, these are also VERY unlikely to drop again.
-KL are LHR.  The current lineup and your best drop candidates.

3070Ti    all -KL   all LHR

3060       all -KR   all LHR

You must research to understand, as enewt has summarized for you.  Here it is in a detailed format.

3090      all -KR   all non-LHR
3080Ti    all -KR   all LHR

3080, 3070, 3060Ti
-KR are non-LHR, these are also VERY unlikely to drop again.
-KL are LHR.  The current lineup and your best drop candidates.

3070Ti    all -KL   all LHR

3060       all -KR   all LHR

I agree with our resident photoshop expert and Mr. Mallow Head (we're friends, right? I can call you that from time to time?).

And they were much more succinct and clear with their summaries (there be brains in ).

Thank you both very much for your feedback and clarification.  I appreciate it!

I only had 3 left , paired that down to 2 , I never had anything i didn't want or were planning to use except the 3080 ti's which I passed on the first and removed the other 2.

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2021/10/06 17:23:37 (permalink)
OK. I cannot be the only one with this problem. I've followed the instructions repeatedly. And I cannot comply with them. Here is why.

  1. I open the "My Notifies" link and it sends me to the login prompt.
  2. I enter my credentials and it sends me to asia.evga.com (I'm in the US, btw). Home Page
  3. There is no "My Notifies" option available anywhere, so I cannot go to that page and remove my notifies I don't want, thereby whittling it down to two.

So, exactly how am I supposed to whittle down my notify selections to only the ones I want the most when your site won't take me to myNotifies in the first place? I am certain I am signed up for four or five (can't remember exactly which) options, and if I'm really restricted to only two, I'd kind of like to have a say in that process, especially since your email message says I can.

What am I doing wrong?

go here after signing in here

Yeah, I already tried that many times (and a whole lot of other things). Even after successful login, going to that page via hard URI (since there is no link under Member) just takes me back to the login page. I'm definitely logged in. I can go edit my profile, etc. I just can't reach their "My Notifies" in any way, shape, manner, or form.

Same thing here.  I'm logged in, but going to My Notifies asks me to log in again.  Go through log in and it takes me to my profile, I then click to go to my notifies, and it just takes me to a login page again.  Already tried clearing cache, clearing cookies, etc.
