not only that, but with those gpus the those scalpers get, they will get far more demand for those of us, that got lower tier gpus for friends or family members while we waited for our own enthusiast level gpus, to have to go to scalpers that can get our gpus. Its just going to create more demand for scalpers to find ways around this new ruling from EVGA which apparently isnt hard at all. Maybe I should create a new account and rejoin the 3969 queue. I'll probably get a notify before my current account gets one 
The only problem with your idea is that all the SKUs' "auto notifys" are closed and more than likely may never open again.

The only problem with your idea is that all the SKUs' "auto notifys" are closed and more than likely may never open again.
There is MASS of scalper notifies on and after 10/5/21 and in Feb '21 (crypto rush). They will never make it through them, even with the change. Only thing that will make a difference is if crypto collapses.

How is this great news? This basically just prioritizes the scalpers with 10 accounts each now. Before you were secure in the knowledge that at least their extra accounts were behind you in the que. Now every one of these extra accounts now get priority.
I was just thinking of the actual top level ramifications. Because of this, if you helped out a family member or bought a cheaper card as a standby, you’re going to have to buy the exact card you would’ve gotten in the queue from a scalper with multiple accounts.

Yes, this only applies to completed purchases. Passing on a notification does not impact your queue.

GPU mining took off in Feb '21, you can check the StockX price history for the impact on scalper prices, before that it had dipped to like $1200 for a 3080. With the 3897, they are at 10/5/21 11pm, so you have a pretty big bubble to get over with the queue system starting at 10/5/21.

I’m trying to choose my words wisely, as I know whatever I say will probably not set well with others.
I only recently decided to delve into trying to build my own gaming PC. As such, I didn’t know much about the different “players” in the industry. However, after researching, I decided to go with EVGA. I have always been very brand loyal, so this was no small decision.
What I wasn’t prepared for was how hard it was going to be to try and get a graphic card. I definitely picked the wrong time to try and build my first computer. However, I was thrilled to discover that EVGA had a notification system and the forum. My husband and I haunt the threads multiple times a day to see the time stamps and drops. I knew this was going to be a very long process, and that I needed to have patience.
Therein lies my problem. I feel terrible for everyone that is in the queue that will be losing their place, but at the same time, I am ecstatic that by some slim chance and miracle I may see a graphic card in my not-too-distant future. So, for someone in my position, all I can say is thank you EVGA. I appreciate that you are trying to service all your customers new and old.

Joined the 3060 Ti FTW3 Queue at 12/1/2020, 8:36:18 PM for the 3667-KL… the queue last reported notify is 11 minutes prior…. 11 minutes to go and I get this bull**** today. Thanks Jacob and Lee, you are doing a bang up job keeping your loyal customers happy. Buying since 2009… never knew they would take such a massive dump on us so hard. EVGA you disappoint the hell out of me.

I try to moderate my salt levels on the forum but today is proving a challenge. I know that you very recently entered the queue. In all likelihood, this news indicates that EVGA will not be producing a great number of cards for the queue for the rest of the 30xx era. The global shortages of materials (aluminum, copper, rubber, et al), components (MOSFETs, capacitors, et al), manufacturing capacity, and cargo shipping has reached a tipping point. I highly recommend you prep for the Super launch coming early next year. You might want to take the day off so that you can be ready to get in queue for that card ASAP on it's release. You should also, at this point, probably consider any alternative that fits your needs and budget. I wish you great success in completing your build.

I kept the card for 2 months before i could even use it as i only do watercooled builds and EK didnt have a block for a while. I joined the queue the day the 3060tis dropped for my family member’s christmas present for last years christmas… little did i know Id still be in the queue 1 year later after having joined queue the day it opened… i held out of other opportunities to buy ZOTAC and MSI cards from Newegg shuffle as they are over priced, and MSI is dead to me after scalping their own products… because i knew i was in EVGAs queue. I trusted EVGA products exclusively before, but after todays trash decision to dump on their own customer base… i dont think ill buy from them ever again honestly. This is awful behavior from a company, and as a small business owner myself, I’d never EVER treat my customers like that. Regardless of my bottom line.

Nope, 3897 is at 11:40 pm Oct 6. So only Oct 7 to cover really and queue moved pretty quickly through Oct 5-6. Thus high hopes. Yoj never know though. Hopefully new Evga rule will push some of us long waiters quicker.

Thank you for the kind words and encouragement! It is truly appreciated. I will definitely be prepared for the Super launch. Luckily, my work schedule is flexible. As to the card, my budget isn’t the issue. I’m prepared to pay MSRP for any card I want. I just won’t pay an inflated rate by someone trying to take advantage of the situation. I’m too stubborn. Lol. Even if that means I have to rely on patience. In the meantime, I am keeping an eye out at all possible outlets to purchase an EVGA card. At the very minimum, I’m looking for a 3060 Ti. My games aren’t too intensive, but I want growing room. Thanks again, nomoss. I appreciate your advice.
