That's a good point- I wonder how much time has been wasted by people getting their cards and not dropping out of the queue for the other ones. It's at least 8 hours for each one, which could sure add up...

My friend was notified of his order for a 3090 FTW3 Ultra a few days ago, but he was registered sometime right after launch (around 8am) I've yet to get any notifications for either of these:

If we were talking about NVIDIA, I might agree with you. But we are talking about EVGA, and I don't think they want to play games with the cards; they just want to get them in the hands of bona fide gamers and consumers. I have to believe that they are trying to get them to us ASAP -- which is why sometimes the drop is a really small one...they want to get them out rather than be more efficient by holding them for a bigger drop. 100% speculation on my part, by the way...but it feels true to me.
I was gonna write this awhile ago but got busy. I agree with you. The conspiracy theorist in me would say they are sandbagging for the AMD release but that wouldn’t make sense for EVGA. We have a que system so that only hurts themselves by waiting as it offers people on the wait list more choice. So logic would have to indicate they want to satisfy the list as fast as possible from an economic standpoint. I’m wondering if there are some problems that we just don’t know about regarding these cards that may further come to light about yields or long term reliability or something....
