I signed up for notification on EVGA Geforce RTX 3070 Ti XC3 and XC3 Ultra as I would be ecstatic to receive either directly from EVGA at MSRP with full warranty and step up perks. In the event that I get a notification for one and complete the order is there anyway I can request for the one that is still pending to be cancelled to just be a nice person and ensure I do not receive another notification?

Is it a waste to get a 3080 if I’m not going to be buying a 4K screen? What’s a good card for 1440p gaming?

FWIW I game on a 1440p screen - granted it’s with a 2080ti because I’m still in queue for a 3090 hc - and I use dsr to run 4K in-game and the visual quality is noticeably more detailed than native 1440p. It isn’t quite as crisp on a 4K native screen, but alot of the visual fidelity is there. I chose this route because high refresh 4K monitors are very expensive, and 60hz just bothers me a bit after having high-refresh monitors for some time now. Also, limiting yourself to 60fps at 4K is also a “waste” of the performance high-end cards are capable of, with the exception of a handful of AAA titles <coughs> CYBERPUNK <cough cough>

Basically you can still get a lot of that 4K detail on a 1440p monitor with dsr and at a much higher refresh rate. So no, it’s not a waste at all. Besides… future titles will be more demanding and might be a challenge to handle at 4K for a 3080 eventually. Another thing to think about.

Thank you EVGA! Received link today for a 3060 order placed early March.  Glad I didn't miss the  approx '8-hour-until-self-destruct-offer' email after watching for 4 months!  Yeah it's the basic version but it beats playing games with the mobo's built-in gfx 'chip'

My Camel Day hopes were not completely answered, but nor was it completely dusty.
 
Several cards had drops today and it finally feels like the 3080 FTW3 Ultra (3897) -- what I would have considered the flagship card of the September 2020 launch -- has finally hit the gap between its launch window and the Queue announcement window of 10/5-10/6...even though it didn't have a lot of units drop today, it moved slightly more than 24 hours. I would expect it to move about a day or so each new drop until it hits the afternoon of 10/5 when EVGA announced that the auto-notify button = queue registration. With respect to the 3958 Hybrid, I received a bit of an outlier report at 8:47:23 (20 seconds ahead of what I posted below); it may be that this outlier is the true head of the queue, but out of an abundance of caution and because it was so "alone" relative to the other reports for that card today, I did not include it in the summary below (I hope my caution is in err).
 
Finally, thank you to all 58 folks who participated in the Summer Olympic Sport Viewing Preference poll.  Swimming (15 1st place votes), Football/Soccer (11 first place votes), and Skateboarding (8 first place votes) took the top three ranked-choice spots. To the one "conscientious objector" and one "None of the Above" voters, special thanks to you for taking the time to vote.

Anyone else unable to check email at work and missed the 8 hour window by a couple hours? If so what did you do? I emailed EVGA support. Isthat the correct place? The frustration with this is unbelievable…. I’ve checked my email probably 800 times since last October. If I got start over I’m out.
