Just received my 3080ti. Which 3090 variant would be faster for step-up? :)
The quickest 3090 variant would be keeping your 3080 TI the are basically the same thing and vary close variants of the same die.

3967 has had steady movement over the last month. I don't think there's much to complain about. I'd be surprised if you didn't get it next week.
I wouldn't be surprised at all. Just waiting for the next "crisis" to make the shortage worse i.e. UFOs stealing the silicon, or Godzilla sitting on TSMC or whatever.

Well guys my watch has ended, thanks to Microcenter. If you have one in your area, I would suggest trying that out. During my time, there were more cards then people!!!! they had a good mix of 3060, 3060ti 3080, 3080ti,3090's.

If any was interested I asked about needing a different bios for they hydro copper 3080 TI that I swapped to a hyrid cooler below is my question and their answer...
I purchased the 12G-P5-3959-KR and also purchased the 400-HY-1978-B1 and swapped the hydro copper block to the hybrid water cooler do I need to also flash the bios on the 12G-P5-3959-KR so the fans work correctly or anything?

the Hydro copper cards do not have a special bios for them the default bios on the card should work just fine.

Does it make you happy? Do it up. And yeah, it's your money, your parts, so no one else's opinion should matter. Just sounds like you really like the 3090FE and want to make it a cool display piece ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. It's more GPU than the vast majority need anyways

So, I gotta say, I've been kinda monitoring the 30x0 postings on Amazon for a long time, and anecdotally, I'm seeing the prices of new ones drop lately, and the cards aren't selling. (The scalpers are still charging north or $2K for a 3080 Ti, but it looks like they aren't getting buyers).
Not to mention the complete dump that's hit Etherium and Bitcoin, I think the tides are turning. The scalpers don't want to get caught with 3080's and the Miners are retreating. I seriously think the scalpers are going to soon learn the difference between scalping outdateable electronics and "collectible" kicks.

So with these new limited hashrate cards, do people have to sign up for the notify all over again for these new skus? Or do you still keep your place in the queue when the card changes to the LHR version? For example, if you were in the 3070 (sku 3767-KR) did you just lose your place in line and have to sign up for the autonotify all over again?

It looks like you keep your place in line. And it will be automatically rolled to the LHR card.
My auto-notify rolled over to the KL model, but odd that I didn’t get the e-mail to opt out and remain in the KR queue like some people seem to have gotten. I’m a gamer and not a miner, so it doesn’t matter to me either way.

Well, I have decided to remove myself from the Kingpin Hybrid queue: 24G-P5-3998-KR 1/20/2021 1:20:43 PM PT No
Just can't justify the $600 premium over the 3080 Ti for my purposes. Hopefully this way it will get to someone sooner, rather than wait for my notify to come up (hopefully the next person will get it as soon as Monday!).
