The amount of SKUs is just laughably ridiculous now. They keep coming up with new ones and abandon the ones that have been in standby for months and months now...

Honestly, it's not EVGA fault that this shortage has lasted as long as it has, they have learned from it if you look at how many sku the 3080 and 3070 ti have
The true blame is on nvidia for delaying the 3080 ti for as long as it has, plus the ridiculous price of it compared to the 3080/3090

My 3070Ti delivery was delayed from tomorrow to Thursday.  Do I call my Congressman directly about this or is there a process?

3070 Ti XC3 Ultra Gaming (3785) - Presumably the same cooler as the 3070 Ti XC3 Gaming (3783) but will likely be priced an extra $50-$100 more and the boost clock on the chip will be like 50-75 Mhz higher if past releases of this kind are to be believed.

These chips weren't quite good enough to be put into FTW3 cards but were better than your average XC3 chip so they add another SKU and charge you a bit more.

Ive heard evga is not binning their chips for xc3 or ftw3... so better off buying cheaper one. what will make most difference in my experience is the ftw3 with higher power limit vs xc3 which is limited to 2 8pins vs 3 on ftw3. the more power u can get to the card the higher clocks you can reach. now voltages, those will depend on silicon. but my 3080ftw3 will oc to 2265 mhz... while the xc3 3080 in the pc i built for friend would max stay around 2100 which meant it was pretty good bin. so my point is... get whats cheapest, results will vary based on power you can provide. also if you plan to power mod the xc3 should be able to do at least 500 watts.... im not saying im correct but this is my own experience.

If you're gaming at 1080p with a 3080, then you have to remember that the limiting factor is going to be your CPU.
3080 is really all about the 2K or even 4K.  The 3080Ti and 3090 are excellent at 4k, but the 3080 is good too.

Can I ask what 4K gaming monitor you're using? I've been looking at Asus and LG for one. Really want to play Doom and Flight Simulator in 4K, especially now with the TOP Gun DLC.

hey man im using the lg 950 and its a champ i got one on sale at best buy because some one returned it and the other was msrp at microcenter but they are defiantly worth it. just a warning though 4k will ruin you for anything else lol although if you want to push 4k i will suggest a 3090 or 3080 ti as to the other cards just for vram sakes some games do want more than just 10 gbs espcially at max settings.

The 3070Ti FTW3 only has 2-8 pin connectors as well unless the pictures on the product page are lying. If they aren't binning their chips to make this new SKU the only reason they would be producing it over more FTW3s is if there was some other more premium component of the FTW3 board they had trouble getting a hold of. As I've never had multiple cards of the same product family to compare to one another I have no idea if a FTW3 vs XC3 board is usually different in terms of capacitors, mosfets, etc.

The most obvious differences for having more SKUs then is binned silicon quality and availability of the cooler components.

Yeah thats what I'd assume. Paying a $100 premium for probably only 45 Mhz of factory boost clock (1815 is the right in the middle number between the two current offerings) sure does seem like a bummer though :P but this is the way of the world currently.

Both boards have 8-pin connectors and are capable of the same max power draw, by spec.  What is different would be the improved power delivery (more phases, higher limit, etc), dual BIOS, and cooling capability (larger HSF, more heatpipes, enormous RGB LED bar, etc) on the FTW3.  It is unlikely that they are spending a lot of time binning cards that are getting manufactured and expedited out to retailers.  If money is an issue, try for the cheaper XC3 and don't sweat it.

My purse strings aren't so much the issue as it is a matter of perceived value that always just irks me a little. $599 gets you from no video card to 3070Ti XC3, another $100 gets you a couple percentage points of performance uplift. Another $100 gets you a couple more percent and that fancy RGB lighting. This isn't just an EVGA sales thing its just the way I am; I like good bang for my buck. :P I'll look to pick up whichever one of my queue tickets get called though of course.

Edit: Yikes, $700. Looks like they're just filling in the gap between the XC3 and the FTW3.

It doesn't change anything. You can't "hide" you own code, but you can hide others code? It is called "double standard". What next? Bank robbery to donate all money to poor people? That is "not being selfish" and totally fine, right?

ONCE AGAIN I CAN'T REACH ANY GPU PAGE WHILE MANY OTHERS ARE ABLE TO... OFTEN DEPENDING WHICH COAST YOU LIVE ON (I'M ON THE EAST COAST). SO SICK OF THIS BS.

Anyone know if the 3090 KingPin HydroCopper queue opened up again?
