People get a little too carried away with the idea of dead skus. Not dropping in a few weeks doesn't mean it's dead. It's just hibernation. There was one great week after the extension, which I believe is the week the titanic first got mentioned. Last week was dismal, and this one is trending slightly more towards dismal than epic. It is disappointing to see things stuck on the same day for so many months, but it shouldn't really be a surprise anymore. It is what it is. The most optimistic thing we can do is applaud when people do get a notify, and hope it picks up steam.

Agreed. Having no faith will get you no where, just as not having a backup plan will. Ever changing Profile Pic though! haha, I was digging the Stainless Range.

Have you seen the profitability of eth the last 2 days? It's off the charts because there's talk of visa using eth.
I doubt that 1559 will make any significant impact. In fact it could result in further price rises for pre lhr cards.
With no end to shortage seen until after 2022 and rising gas prices at the moment, its little wonder that people would want to invest in mining rigs.
Profitability is just back to January levels, in 2 months miners will only receive MEV fees, they wont be paid gas fees. I'm expecting gas fees to drop back down soon. defensor I agree and disagree with you. POS is 7-9 months away. EIP 1559 won't likely dent demand (3080 is paying $20-25/day right now). This won't last of course, but 30% drop is still profitable until ETH 2.0. After that, it is anyone's guess.
Its paying that much today but just 3 days ago it was paying less than $10 a day. The price of eth is skyrocketing but in my experience profits are still dropping from mining. I'd like to see profits stay high but I think this is just a good week for miners. Only time will tell I guess. I just wanted to share my view point on the demand and don't want to clutter this thread with crypto chat.

Yes, just because nobody sees on a particular SKU doesn't mean it's moving or not moving. It just means that nobody is reporting getting that SKU, which a large % of buyers don't report here as many others have deduced. So we don't know that a SKU isn't moving, we only sometimes know when it does.

I have a bit of a conundrum. I received my yes notify for 3657 @ 2/25 12:48:28 notify time. The conundrum is I have a 20% off coupon and I am on the 3989 @ 4/15 10:01:11. Coupon expires June 27th. What are the chances of 1500 3989 dropping before then....

Well at least you have a backup plan now. Hopefully your original goal becomes available again, but at least you have something concrete on the horizon. Good luck.

According to your doctor, how much stress can your heart take over the next 35+ days? That is a tough call. Are you buying the 3060 regardless? If so, I would utilize the coupon (dollars in the hand versus in the queue and all that). But if your analysis is also a question as to whether to buy the 3060 at all...that depends on your specific circumstances. Best of luck with your decision.

freshness333 so, the 3897 is basically dead in the water eh? due to the "potential" release of the 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra? i haven't seen movement on the 3080 since, what, April 27th?
The 3897 has been through a worse drought in the past. Jacob tweeted that "Current plan to have some this week". https://twitter.com/EVGA_JacobF/status/1392182050246078474
How much is “some”? 5 cards? 5 hours? 5 seconds?

20% off 400ish, 80 bucks. I don't think your odds are great on the 3989, but the savings would be ~5x as much. It's definitely more than 1500.. I mean I'm about 30 seconds after you, but I never self-reported on that sheet. It's always more than you think.

I was going with the 1500 number from the numbers we were pulling by right clicking. I am definitely buying the 3060 for my boys rig. I am just not sure, if I let the $80 ride and gamble it on $400 in savings on the 3989. If I have a chance in h*ll, I would let it ride. But if it is honestly very grim, ill take the $80.

That’s why I want to know. Larger time passed means closer to me. I have ~23 hours before my signup time. If the “some” is 10 hours(extremely unlikely, hell will probably freeze over before that happens), I’d love that. Even if it was 3 hours, I’d like that. I hope the card is going to be “revived” where they start shipping more cards(~1-2 hrs a day). How long was the previous drought?

To be fair... We didn't even have evidence the 3080 ftw3 gaming (3895) would ever be made until a few weeks ago, and it was the only card I signed up for on the weekend of the 3080 release. Do not put all your hope into this queue or you will be with your old card for far longer than you hope.

That is more accurate. I forgot they hadn't pulled the numbers before then. I guess they were there through the HC block drop. Still, there's a lot of competing SKUs for the underlying part. Just to baseline it, this is the earliest time I have for a notify, and that is after the last known reported time. '3355424','24G-P5-3989-KR','4/15/2021 10:00:21 AM'

I completely understand your want for that information, it is warranted, but there is no way we will get that information until it happens. Trust me I'm eager, I'm 14 minuets away from the last drop. If memory serves correctly the largest drought was a little over 3 weeks. And by definition when using "Some" in terms of quantity refers to an indefinite amount. Oh Jacob you sadistic wordsmith lmao.

It's unlikely that a SKU is secretly moving leaps and bounds without anyone reporting it though. For example, 3987 really had little to no movement whatsoever between 4/20 and today, when it moved 13 hours. I don't think there was a massive amount of people between those days not reporting, especially given that SKU's previous progress.

Congratulations and thanks for reporting back. Thank you also for the kind words and for using the Associate’s Code for your 3% discount at checkout; both are appreciated.

xc3 blacks contractual obligations have mostly been fulfilled by partners already and theyre most likely discontinued... most chips are in ftw3 ultra and higher profit margin models.
