CptT95 increase post count needed to 500 posts in forum, register 30 series card or 3 other products This would deter a lot of would be scalpers
Would also deter a few new comers(hi!) from attempting to get in first day. Of course the people who have been w/ evga longer should have priority, but I feel it’s unfair to penalize newcomers to pc building from having a reasonable shot at a GPU in current times just due to scalpers.

I think the dollar amount $300 is fair, the 30 series card is very hard to get at retail price.

good evening all. rough day at the office, but it was saved by my timing on the b-stock drop! Was able to snag a 2070 super which will allow me to complete a friends rig :) while he queue's it out for the 3080. The joy in that man's voice when I called him was just the reason I build at all. Anywhoo hope you enjoyed the feel good story. I'm going to bed with a smile on my face. We go AGAIN tomorrow my fellow humpty dumptys.

1st post after tracking for some time. Big thanks to enewt for the tracking updates and especially the Monty Python references. My Black Knight action figure (with removable limbs of course) appreciates the references as well. Keep up the good work!!

That is an action figure I would be willing to dust (which is my benchmark for whether I can buy something physical). Thanks very much for the kind words. russelljoshhh so you can only buy one card? You can buy one unit of each SKU (or part number) for which you receive an "invite to purchase" email. In other words, if your registration comes up on the 3897, you can buy one unit of that. If on the following day your registration comes up for the 3755, one unit of that card. Etc. But, if you only want one card, common courtesy would suggest that after you obtain your card (whether from the queue or otherwise), you cancel your remaining registrations (you can do that here: NA - https://www.evga.com/community/myNotifies.asp; EU - https://eu.evga.com/community/myNotifies.asp).

Not sure what gave you that impression, but the limit is one per SKU per household so you could indeed get all of them.

Just went to check to see how my 1660 Super was looking... just to see it in the store and dream... and the entire 1660 series GPUs are gone from the store. They have three 1650's but nothing else for the 1600 series at all :cMy wait list is a dead list...nobody panic, I found them The parts link on my wait list thing just goes nowhere and it didn't show up when I tried to navigate through their menus.

That would deter me. The entire program has me thinking about other brands, to be honest. I am not a fan of privileged clubs. It's great for y'all, but in the end it is just easier to go elsewhere and not worry about it.

Hey I was just throwing an idea out there lol, really there is no right answer to the whole situation and a whole lot of failed or wrong answers according to a bunch of frustrated people. Pointing fingers and crying about it wont change a SINGLE thing about ANYTHING, despite maybe helping you relieve some stress(better out then in eh?) what you do to make your chances at a card increase will help. Go find a productive means to take your frustration out on while we all sit here together around the campfire, trust me you will feel much better :P

No complaints over here. I would love for Elite status to actually feel elite.... I just think they should do away with the post path altogether...make it hours and hours of Twitch or, more appropriately, seniority in the forums (time-based) or registration of prior purchases...something that doesn't result in spam.

gbickfordjr The nice thing is... the notification system works. I also love the new elite group to help fight off scalpers.
The elite membership is not new just the 24 hours exclusive access for new queues
Does the elite membership give special notifications or some benefits to those who hold it?

You got me beat, but not by much! I used step up on a motherboard back in 2007. You and I have been with EVGA for a long time, my friend! This is making me feel a little old right now ... not gonna lie! I did a "trade-up" with BFG for a GPU back in the day. That was back when the fastest GPU in the world was a dual GPU made by nvidia that cost $500. A 3080 for $700 is pretty darn amazing, and actually not far above what $500 would adjust to today after 14 years of inflation. The 3090 isn't really just a gamer's card, in my opinion. With its 24GB of very expensive GDDR6X, it was clearly aimed at professionals. Just happens to be great at gaming, too. Performance for $$, though? A unicorn MSRP 3080 (or an even rarer unicorn MSRP 6800XT) reign supreme in that regard. The MSRP 3060ti would be a close second, performance per dollar, and they are basically unicorns now too. Unicorns partly because of scalpers. Partly because of miners. Partly because of COVID-19. But maybe the number one reason is simply that this is the first time in YEARS that your $700 (or $400 or $650) could buy you that much improvement over the last gen. I think that's really why they simply can't make them fast enough. I see post after post of people with dying or dead 10-series cards, or cards that simply can't keep up anymore. The 20-series posts? Few and far between. Folks held off on the 20-series because it wasn't worth it unless you didn't have a 10-series and just needed something. So all those people need GPUs now. AMD turned the 5000 series to paper to match their 6000 series launch (production focused almost entirely on CPUs and PS5s and Xbox consoles), so Nvidia has unprecedented numbers of AMD fans flocking to their ranks, simply because they were at least making something while AMD made consoles. Why do I have a 3060 in my rig right now? I already had my 5900X, and I was determined to do a pure team red build this time. I was hot on the button for the 6800XT launch, and then the 6900XT launch. Even the 6700XT launch, after I had my 3060. I've tried best buy, stock trackers, even lining up over night. I actually had a 6800XT in my HAND at microcenter. Why didn't I buy it? IT WAS $1164!!!! For an air-cooled 6800XT that was supposed to be a $650 video card. That was the longest 10 minutes in any checkout line ever! In that moment, I gave it back to the associate and decided to wait my turn in the EVGA queue instead. EVGA is still selling 3080s for below $1000, even at stores like microcenter and best buy, and also here in the queue. Ugh. I need to end my rant. Sorry, all! But in case some of you are wondering where to place blame, or wanting to vent at EVGA (and I definitely am irked that we never get warning of these B-stock drops, and as humans can hardly compete with the bot buys...), I hope this diatribe lends a little perspective of why we are where we are. But here's to hoping tomorrow is a better day for queue movement, because today was suuuuuper slow!
Current Temp Rig: Modded cheapo HP SFF gaming PC with AMD Ryzen 3600 + Arctic Freezer 7X, 32GB Crucial DDR4, 512GB NVMe SSD, incoming EVGA 3060 12GB. 400w HP Platinum PSU, 43" Asus XG438Q Gaming Monitor

Lets look on the positive side... +Yesterday was a torrent, not just a small drizzle of cards. +The way I see it now, we may have to wait, but we are guaranteed a card. +EVGA extended their price honoring (which they did not have to do). +EVGA implemented a method to give elite 24 hours advanced notice. +We have a bunch of helpful guys in this thread pouring a lot of time to keep track of data. Admittedly I was getting a bit impatient, but, I need to remind myself of these facts mentioned above... we are in a good spot, with good people working together. It may be slow just hang in there!

as long as your sign up is a bit early for card launch You’ll be ok. It’s the late comer that are negative Nancy and entitled as hell that makes this thread depressing.

First EVGA product bought and registered..... TNT2 Ultra circa 1998. You had to mail in the registration/warranty card that came in the box. I agree that the requirements for Elite status are not perfect and could use some retooling. It's not just that but it's also how they went about announcing it. They didn't make it about existing elite members or they would have limited it to those who already had Elite status at the time of the "first 24 hours" announcement. Instead, they are encouraging a lot more people to jump through a couple of easy hoops and become an elite member so they can cast a wider marketing net. I get it. I see how they are. Oh well, it's EVGA's world and we are forced to live in it since they are putting out the best cards right now.

But yeah, I plan on sticking with EVGA and waiting out the queue for my next chance for the 3080 FTW3. I'm still kicking my self in the ass about missing the first notification email I received for the 3080. Oh well.. I will not miss the next one! SirKronan That was back when the fastest GPU in the world was a dual GPU made by nvidia that cost $500.
Are you referring to the NVIDIA 7950 GX2 that I mentioned? I was a beast of a card.. Essentially two 7900 GTX cards slapped together in SLI mode. Good times. 7900 GX2 was available around the same time as well.. as a OEM offering, if I am not mistaken.

coldrain85 First EVGA product bought and registered..... TNT2 Ultra circa 1998.
I don't think I ever registered anything until the last few years or so. Lol. My first EVGA product was the 2060 Super I put in my LAN party rig last year. Since we're talking about older cards, though, the first high end card I ever owned was a PNY GeForce FX 5950 Ultra. That thing was a beast in its day (PNY used to not suck). My next was a pair of GeForce 8800 Ultras (probably also PNY) in SLI, which was what made me realize that SLI was just a waste of money and I never did it again. I've owned several other cards since those but those are the oldest ones I can remember owning.

I understand it is good business for the company's to have more elite members, since elite membership is a joke on the next product release 99% signed up will be elite members the remaining 1% will be outsiders.
