I have a EVGA 710 sitting here, though never really bothered with the forums. Is that old enough?

nick_shlprobably because of articles in magazines with explanation how to get in line for 3080 Ti in first 24 hours. I cringed hard at the doofy "Here's how to get a 24hr head start in the queue!" articles in PCGamer, etc knowing that it was just a big ole call for people to start spamming. If EVGA is serious about rewarding previous customers, they should have locked that down since now it's only hurting more casual customers and the bots/scalpers aren't going to be affected at all (helped, really, since there's less casuals in their way).

HolybullMaybe a tier based on the number or dollar value of products registered You can't use dollar amount spent. In this case people who build PC for sale will have advantage - they buy more than actual gamer. And they buy it for resale(even inside complete system) - this is their business.
Bots and scalpers would qualify if its only dollar amount spent anyway so it is a pretty bad idea. Having a time requirement like being an elite member before sept 2020 along with a minimum purchase amount (given that its low enough) would help filter out people who only got elite for the daily giveaway.

My guess is that the original idea was to look for people who HAVE bothered with the forums, helped other people, etc. Now I am not sure what they are going for.

I say that verification of any product registered prior to 2020 in order to qualify for elite. For bona-fide product registration in 2020/2021, they can request an exception.

PR and an attempt to get new long term customers. Might backfire if they are not careful tho.

I wouldn't be against them instituting some higher tier of elite status. I see nothing wrong with rewarding your most consistent supporters. But I also think the 100 posts is actually a decent thing for promoting engagement, as long as it doesn't get too spammy. And there are specific threads for that in "general."

I think they should have locked in the elite status as of the announcement time. It would make it not about rushing to get elite status and more about those who have already attained it. I also think elite status should expire due to inactivity :D later, Chris

I had one of those, but I don't remember who made it. The oldest EVGA I can probably get my hands on is a 460. :-)

To all getting new cards, Congrats.
I am not dead yet, though was touch and go.
If you go to the product page at the bottom you can claim your free game. ATM it is Flaconeer. Click on the Game, then to bottom again and it should show your card with a request code button.
Good Luck all, I see we get to fight again for a new queue soon.
Was hoping they would offer folks who had been waiting over 6 months to upgrade, to a new SKU, but that seems to beyond Marketing. We just will play F5 Battle Royal again. :)

I have some really old cards laying around. GeForce 2 MX is the oldest NVidia card I have, but also some non AMD/ATI or NVidia cards. Anyone here remember a GPU maker called Trident? Have 3 Trident cards including there 3D cards.

Per Techspot.com, Samsung will be releasing a new laptop in August featuring an RTX 3050. I guess Samsung can grab the chips right off the production line Samsung's Galaxy Book Odyssey is the first to feature Nvidia's RTX 3050 GPUs Samsung's latest laptop packs Nvidia's newest GPUs By Shawn Knight, 25 minutes ago Editor's take: Samsung as part of its latest Galaxy Unpacked event has unveiled the worldās first gaming laptop packing Nvidiaās new RTX 3050 series graphics cards. Curiously enough, Samsung spent very little time discussing the Galaxy Book Odyssey during its Unpacked event, despite it seeming to be one of its more interesting new products. The Galaxy Book Odyssey ships with a 15.6-inch TFT LCD display operating at resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 thatās driven by an 11th Gen Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, up to 32GB of DDR4X memory and up to 2TB of NVMe SSD storage. The real star of the show, however, is the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 and 3050 Ti Max-Q graphics cards. Aside from a single infographic, however, thatās really all the company has said about it thus far. Nvidia hasnāt even formally announced the 3050 as of this writing. Other Galaxy Book Odyssey features gleaned from the infographic include Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, a 720p HD webcam, Dolby Atmos audio support and an 83Wh battery. Buyers also get two USB-Type C ports, three USB 3.2 ports, an HDMI connection, a 3.5mm headphone / mic jack, a microSD card slot and an Ethernet jack. Samsung said the Galaxy Book Odyssey will be available in select markets this August starting at $1,399. No word yet on whether or not it'll be available in the US.
