ummm the anermax 1500watt platinum

To bad its not availible in the USA and requires 220v ONLY, which could be done in the US but would be a pain.

More than anything I'd like to see a design with 2 AC inputs to split the load across 2 circuits without having to go to 2 separate PSU

http://www.overclockerscl..com/reviews/epower_2kw/

Because most rooms are not served by two circuits, running extensions cords to another room would bring a whole host of code compliance problems and livability issues. For what it's worth, I'm getting a 20 amp 240v circuit installed for my SR-X box.

Yeah I know the feeling, I had to get an electrician to come out and install 3 20 amp circuits.

How much did it cost?

120$ per circuit

That's not bad at all.

Please have samples of these out to jonnyguru, HardOCP, Guru3d.com, Hardware Canucks, etc.  Time sending them the samples so at least 1 or 2 of them can have reviews of at least a couple of the different wattage units uploaded sometime during the first week of the release.

Agreed.  Hopefully EVGA sends jonnyGURU a sample or two so Jon or Jeremy can review them.

I think you could consider this an open challenge from Jon (aka jonnyGURU) himself:

jonnyGURU
I find it highly unlikely that a company like Evga, a company whose main staple is graphics card despite 99% of them being nothing more than reference cards, would spend all the NRE costs to develop three completely unique PSU's. Jacob does say that the PCB is six layer. It is true that most are only four layer. I guess we'll see... if they're willing to send out review samples.

Source:http://www.jonnyguru.com/....php?t=8766&page=2

Now that sounds like a triple dog dare to me.

Now EVGA, you have the invite.....you just need to pay the postage.

30A circuits use bigger wire (10AWG at least) so that makes sense. That's part of the reason why higher voltage services are supplied to large customers; higher voltage means lower amps, which means smaller and cheaper conductors.

As long as it includes the ability to read the power and/or amperage draw from each voltage, that would be nice.  Then we can end the debate about power consumption, at least until we settle on what "full load" means.

The PC P&C 1200W ESA model had this ability. It came with a plug that you can hook into a USB port and then load up HWMonitor to see the amperage and voltage on the rails. I have been hoping for some time now that other manufacturers would do something similar.

Rumor now is that the lower wattage units are FSP?  Waiting for Phaedrus at OCN to do his write-up.  He stopped by the EVGA booth and had a look at the PSU's and noticed an FSP transformer in the PSU's.  Still conjecture at this point.

The 1500W is definitely not FSP.
