Kingston 4133 CL19 - 4800 CL14 2T - primary and tertiary tight, benchmarks on both 0.92 (xp) and 1.07 bios passing.
dimm 2 / vtt -50 / superpi
dimm 1.98 / vtt 0 / geekbench
Had to use TFAW 17 TCWL 15 instead of TFAW 16 TCWL 14 otherwise memory would not train.
Still haven't figured it out my g skill tridentZ A2 at 4800 CL14, it was tested on a apex xi with success.
dimms, motherboards, imc, vsa... mem oc is hard.

I can run 4800+ 14-13 with the G.Skill A2 without problems, only with the HOF it doesn't work, I can't get out of training.
With the HOF A2 I can run 4200+ 12-12 1T without problems.
It is really strange, especially because you can boot with 4200 12-12, but 4133 won't start :(
Bios 1.07 and 0.93 tested.

The Tridentz 4400 19-19-19-39 - can train 4133 1T and 4266 1T, 4200 1T and 4800 2T does not get out of training.
The Kingston 4133 19-25-25-43 - can train 4133 2T and 4800 2T, 4133 1T does not get out of training (did not tested 4200 or 4266 if could not do 4133 1T)
Maybe i haven't figured out the correct vtt for the freq and rating, in order to pass training.
Both 0.92 and 1.07 tested.

Try 4200, I can't boot 4133 and can't get out of training, but 4200+ will go without problems.
What surprises me very much, A2 Kit from G.Skill runs without problems on Asus with 4133 12-11, but doesn't run on the Dark. Same settings but don`t get out of training :(

Confirm that Kingston 4133 19-25-25-43 can benchmark geekbench 4200 CL12 1T.
Cleared all the tertiary and rtls, relaxed tfaw to 240, and it passed memory training.
Managed then to start tightening the tertiaries and try memory training bit by bit.
Tightening the rtls or setting tfaw to 220 it would not pass memory training.
It passed memory training at 1.98 vdimm / vtt 0, but for geekbench needs 2 vdim / vtt -50.
vsa 1.45 / vccio 1.45 probably could be set at vsa 1.35 / vccio 1.3.

The A2 layout - Kingston 4133 19-25-25-43 unfortunately doesn't pass superpi at 4200 CL12 1T.
The A2 layout - Galax Extreme 4000 19-25-25-45 passes geekbench and superpi at 4200 CL12 1T / vdimm 2.045 / vtt -50 / vsa 1.45 / vccio 1.45 / again i could lower the vsa and vccio, rtls left on auto.
The Galax dim voltage when less than 2.045 does not train at 4200, it trains 4000 tight at 1.95.
Kingston is very quick at memory training, whereas the Galax takes its time.
Both bios 0.92 and 1.07 tested.

Your timings are realy tight.
Try
TRDRD_SG         7
TWRWR_SG       7
TWRWR_DR       5
TWRWR_DD      5
RTL        50/51
IOL         6/6 or 7/7
maybe it helps to get through training faster

The A2 layout - Galax Extreme 4000 19-25-25-45 - can pass superpi at 4266 CL12 1T - vdim 2.05 / vtt -55 / vsa 1.45 / vccio  1.45. Managed to tight rtls to 51/52 7/7. rtls at 50/51 6/6 or 7/7 does not pass memory training, could be imc limitation. Passed memory training from 2.02 but it needed 2.05 to pass superpi.

The A2 layout - Galax Extreme 4266 19-19-19-39 - can pass memory training for 4266 CL12 1T at vdim 2.02 /vtt -50, but fails superpi, upping voltage from vdim 2.04 upwards, windows generates boot errors, stick could be voltage / temperature sensible.

The A2 layout - G Skill Tridentz 4400 19-19-19-39 - at 4266 CL12 1T does not pass superpi at vdim 2.045 / vtt -55, and from voltage 2.045 upwards, windows generates boot errors or is unstable, stick could be voltage / temperature sensible.
Both bios 0.92 and 1.07 tested.

Adding yet another factor for memory oc: sticks sensitivity to voltage/temperature

@luakri
have you ever tried the last XOC bios?
I can only use 0.93 Bios with the 9900KS.
Maybe it works even better with this

Re: EVGA Z390 DARK and B-Die based low latency memory overclocking 2020/01/27 13:14:46 (permalink)
Confirm that with xoc 0.93:
A2 layout - Galax Extreme 4000 19-25-25-45 - passes superpi with vdim 2.055 / vtt -55 / vsa 1.45 / vccio 1.45 / rtl 50 51 / iol 6/6
Will try vsa to 1.35, vccio 1.3, trfc at 220 at a later date.
The other 2 kits experience the same voltage/temperature issue, not all dims behave the same, silicon lottery.
Interesting that the G Skill Tridentz 4400 19-19-19-39 trains only at the odd ratios of 4133 and 4266 but not 4200.

My Galax Kit also reacts extremely to voltage and temperature. 4200 12-12 1T with 2.010v and -50 are no problem at all up to 101 BCLK, memory on the spreader gets warm up to 25°C, but runs without problems. As soon as the voltage goes above 2.025v, it needs cooler temperatures

The A2 layout - Galax Extreme 4266 19-19-19-39 is sensible to voltage/temperature, can train to 2.055 and trains 4266 CL12 but windows on boot gives errors from vdim 2.025.
Also ever only passed memory training at odd ratios, 4133 CL12, 4266 CL12 and 4933 CL14.
Fails memory training at 4200 CL12 and 4800 CL14.
Passes geekbench at 4933 CL14-13-13 / vdim 2 / vtt -50 / vsa 1.5 / vccio 1.45 / rtls left on auto.

Can you please share you bios-settings for 4933?
I have the same Problem with training @4800 all attempts to start with 4800, fail :D

Yes, The A2 layout - G Skill Tridentz 4400 19-19-19-39 can pass memory training for 4933 CL12, but gives windows boot errors due to memory instability, it does not help that this kit is also voltage/temperature sensible.
The A2 layout - Galax Extreme 4000 19-25-25-45 although can do 4266 CL12 1T - vdim 2.055 looked promising for 4800 but, does not pass memory training for neither 4800 CL14 or 4933 CL14.
Mem oc is hard, tons of factors plus the silicon lottery, eg the same pcb for a ddr kit but produced in different times of the year, might not produce the same oc results.

The A2 layout - G Skill Tridentz 4400 19-19-19-39 and the A2 layout Predator 4133 19-25-25-43 can pass geekbench 4933 CL14 using bios 0.93.
Settings used: vdim 2.025 / vtt -50 / vsa 1.5 / vccio 1.45
Obs:
For the A2 layout Predator 4133 19-25-25-43 - TCWL needs to be 15 and not 14, otherwise memory training is in a loop, Predator passed memory training with TFAW 16 and 22 and TCWL 15.

Thanks luakri and especially my good friend noliso, together we could get the ****y HOF-A2 to boot.

But the trick was that I had to boot with 99,6, otherwise no training is possible, no matter what you adjust, it contributes to the training and 4C, 2B...

But the score looks good :)
SA/IO 1,45v
Mem 2,035v / -45

What exactly are you trying to do? How have you set everything up at the moment?

You can download taiphoonburner free and check your IC`s. If it is Samsung IC`s, you can try and load the 24/7 profile from Luumi.
This should work for A2 Samsung IC`s.

Hope I can catch up with you lot and gain some experience from you with this.
Any tips on getting the most from this would be appreciated .
I'll work out out how these computey things work one day .
Ram (link below) should be here tomorrow or next day.
To go with carbon pro and 9980xe .

If you want to use this memory on the Dark, you can only use 32GB, I hope that's already clear.
With 32GB you have to go down in any case with the clock and timings.
Most of us want high clock with tight timings and use only 16GB Samsung A1 or Samsung A2 mem.

Hi all
sry me for the newbie question but i'm in the club again since only 1 week (last EVGA mobo was a glorious x58 classified)
after years of Asus board i wanted to try an Evga again :)
I cannot find inside bios the FSB:DRAM ratio setting
i cannot boot mine patriot 4400c19 even using xmp, best i can get is 4200c17 with a 100:100 ratio, but i see on your screen you can change it (i think this is why i got stuck in training using frequency above 4200mhz)

BCLK is on the first/main page in bios (OC), mem ratio is on the second page (MEM).
If you have not change anything in the bios, you can load xmp-profile, so the mem should run without problems.
You don`t need to make any other settings for mem.
