So basically if I turn off HDCP off from the setting, no PS3 footage shows up, but if I turn on HDCP from the setting, the PS3 footage shows up but only for merely few seconds, after that the screen goes black, is there anyway to record PS3 footage without this problem? I hope there's future update that let us record PS3 footage here is the video of the problem I am currently facing www[DOT]youtube[DOT]com/watch?v=BVFO3qrsUDQ

There is almost certainly not going to be any updates.
If you can't make it work, I would suggest getting a refund, if that is still an option.

I had the same issue, it seems HDCP couldn't be fully turned off for XR1 :(
You have to either close both HDCP for PS3 and XR1, or using a HDMI splitter(small black box) to bypass the HDCP signal.

As far as I know, those splitters are not supposed to bypass HDCP, and any which do, do it "by accident" or do it until someone forces legal action to fix the "accident". A dodgy splitter shouldn't be considered a solution to a deeper problem, in my opinion.

Correct, I only treat it as workaround too. But since there's XR1 Pro and XR1 Lite, I doubt the original XR1 will get any further support than this workaround.
