Are you guys saying that with speedstep on your voltages drop back now? I am not observing it at all. The frequency goes down but not the voltage in CPU-Z/E-leet.

On my E768, with BIOS 81, setting VT enabled or disabled in the CPU feature has no effect. VMware will run my 64-bit guest regardless, now with a new log message: "The virtualization capability of your processor has been enabled" showing up the first time a guest starts in a single host session. The MS detection tool always find VT enabled.

No, it is still not fixed sedril
My voltages drop with speedstep, works perfectly for me...
Correct, you have the E768 motherboard, this is only an issue with the E759, E760, and E770 motherboards, there might be others, I'm not 100% sure, I have setup every EVGA X58 motherboard and these 3 do not drop voltage when speedstep is enabled like the other motherboards only multiplier, so it looks like the EVGA X58 Classified series, again I do not own the SR-2, or the E762 Classified, so I so not know if those are affected but all other EVGA X58 motherboards do not have this problem.

Just flashed BIOS 81, looking good so far. Just started to rerun the LinX stability test on the lowest voltage settings I got to without crash. 1.33 VCore @ 4.2GHz (1.318V in BIOS, no vdroop). Wish me luck on those 20 hard passes

You're right, in fact I'm testing the stability of my system with Lynx for the moment at the level of stability seems identical to the beta bios 80. I set the CPU to 4Ghz, Vcore to 1.35V and memory at 2000 (8 9 8 24). I have only seen a blue screen because the QPI was too low. Now I keep it to +250 mvand I seem to be stable.

I had to bump my Vcore up a notch to system hardlocked on me while playing music and running IE9. Bumped Vcore a notch then ran 25 passes of linx no more lock ups. Other than that these BIOS work great for me. Running 2x WD blacks in RAID 0 without issues. Can't comment on the VT cause i don't use it.

Hey Guys! Just tried to update my X58 Classy3 MB bios to the latest one via the cd method and once I got to the bios update screen it said at the bottom to enter a name for the file (Flashing). The name was already entered so I hit enter and nothing happened ! It just sat there so I crtl-alt delete and tried again but still same thing. Is it a faulty file or what?

SATA optical drive or IDE? There was a post a while back with the same symptoms. Cured by using a SATA drive to boot the CD. Maybe... Z.

Do you have 'turbo performance' (not turbo mode) enabled in the BIOS?
No: turbo performance is disabled turbo mode is enabled Intel speed step is disabled. Tried using the XMP profile in Bios and manual settings. Both doesn't show up as 1600mhz in E-leet and CPU-Z. Had the same issue with 80 beta. Strange thing is that it works with bios 78 and 79. with the same settings. After a couple of days of testing, I think I will go back to the 80 beta, I am not having any vt errors but I am having some odd booting issues and a couple of times on reboot it has shut down all the way and powered off before reboot, also s3 is not working right again, like others have stated. thanks for the hard work evga, but bios 81 is a no go for me on my 759 classified.

how come i can't get a single overclock working with this bios? i usually have my cpu and all other settings set to work with an overclock to 4GHZ, and it worked with the 79 bios. but with this one even an overclock of 10mhz would cause my system to fail on boot. i think i have to roll back to 79 cause this one is not working for me, cant even set my memory to the right timings. anyone else experiencing these issues? i have an EVGA X58 FTW3 mobo with an i7 920 D0, and 6GB triple channel kingston hyperX 2000mhz T1 memory.
